Slivermoon Guards Take Language Lessons…
Whether it was to relieve the boredom of standing in the same spot all day, they just mistook Valentines for April the 1st, no one knows… but the guards in the blood elf city of Silvermoon were being less than helpful last night on Lightbringer (EU).
First, few times you asked for directions they would talk to you in common (least i think it’s common):
Then, if you found one you could actually understand, they were giving directions to the Dwarven District:
I know blood elves are supposed to be evil, but misdirecting newbies really is a new low! 
The Dark Knight : A Casting Round Up
Batman on Film has been posting a number of casting rumours recently regarding The Dark Knight, so heres a bit of a round up of things going on with the Batman Begins 2 casting.
First up, obviously Bale is back as Batman, Caine as Alfred, and Oldman as Gordon. No word on Morgan Freeman yet, but i think it’d be a shame if they couldn’t work him into the script somewhere! The villain in The Dark Knight is Joker, played by Heath Ledger with the possibility of Two Face coming as well (although its not clear if Harvey Dent’s transformation into the duel personalited psychopath will be held until a 3rd movie). Penguin was rumoured to also make an appearance, but that has now been denied. Two main bits of casting still to come seem to be:
Rachel Dawes – Katie Holmes is not returning as Rachel Dawes in the Batman sequel. However, the character is in the script, so they are looking to recast. Top name floating around for this at the moment seems to be Maggie Gyllenhaal who would seem to me to be a pretty good fit. Emily Blunt was also rumoured to be up for the role, but it’s looking like that’s now not the case.
Havey Dent – Sooo many names have been floated for this over the last few months (Josh Lucas, Guy Pearce, Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, John Cusak, Jamie Foxx, Ed Norton, and Ryan Phillippe to name a few!) The name currently at the top of the list though is Aaron Eckhart. Only seen him in a couple of films, but i’d say he’d work well and Dent and also as Two Face. When asked whether he was playing Dent recently Eckhart’s reply was “We’ll see”, which sounds to me very much like there are discussions going on somewhere… Other names that have been popping up recently are Jamie Foxx and Ryan Phillippe. Foxx would fit the fact that the producers were initially said to be looking for ‘a name’ for the role of Dent. I’d actually prefer it if they picked someone whos a bit more under the radar though. Phillippe has said he’d be up for the role if offered it, but hes also said to be planning on taking a break from work at the moment.

The Flash: Goyer Out, Levy in!
David Goyer has left The Flash movie, again, looks like ‘creative differences’ with the studio. Okay, fine, but who to replace him?.. Shawn Levy! Now, lets look at Levy’s CV shall we. Night at the Museum, Cheaper by the Dozen, Just Married, and that awful awful remake of the The Pink Panther (seriously Steve Martin, i’m begging you, if you can’t find an decent script, don’t do any old crap that lands on your desk!.. I mean, some of us are old enough to remember when you were original and funny, and we’d like to see that again some day.)
So, the studio oust the guy that helped reinvent Batman for some fluffy rom-com guy… I really do wonder what goes through the heads of some studio execs, i really do…
A Whedonless Wonder Woman…
So, Joss Whedon is off Wonder Woman because of what sounds like creative differences with the studio… On one hand, a shame, on the other, it means he’s not going to have to compromise on his vision of what the story/character should be, and that can only be a good thing.
Plus, it also means he’s got a bit more spare time on his hands. Here’s an idea… Hey Joss! You remember that Ripper TV show we all want you to make?..

Who Ya Gonna Call? Ghostbusters 3 a Ghostbusting Go!
In a recent interview with CISN Country, Dan Aykroyd has announced that Ghostbusters 3 is a go! Unfortunately it’s all CGI, and not live action but they have convinced Murray to reprise his role as Venkman (albeit in voice only).
Shame it’s not live action, but not unsurprising as Murray has always resisted that idea. Still wicked cool news though!
