Harvey Keitel Moving To Mars!?

25 July 2008 787 views One Comment

Well this came out of left field! As we reported a couple of weeks ago, Colm Meany was rumoured to be out of the US remake of Life on Mars. Now EW.com is reporting that they have a replacement…

Harvey Keitel has signed on to play Gene Hunt!

That’s a pretty major signing for the show, and another indication of the gritter direction they’re looking for, after David E. Kelly’s less than impressive pilot. Other changes include moving the show from LA to New York.

I’m genuinely impressed with this. Keitel is a heavy hitter, and it’ll be really interesting to see what he does with the role.

Jason O’Mara is still playing Sam Tyler, with Michael Imperioli now cast in the Detective Ray Carling role.
