The Queen Na'vi

Happy St. Georges Day! And to celebrate this (and the fact that Avatar is out on Blu-ray & DVD on Monday 26th April), we bring you all 5 verses of the English National Anthemin Na’vi! (and yes, this is quite possibly the geekiest thing we’ve ever posted…) ;)

The English National Anthem… In Na’vi!

ENGLISH NA’VI
1
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Queen.
Tsahìkit ayohengä txoa atawnìng Eywal zivong,
Nulkrr rivey ayohengä nawma Tsahìkit,
Tsahìkit Eywal zivong:
Fpe’ poet afkew,
alefpom sì anawm,
Nulkrr eivyk ayohengit:
Eywal Tsahìkit zivong!
2
O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter thine enemies,
And make them fall
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On thee our hopes we fix:
God save us all.
Ma Eywa, ayohengä Eywa, kllkxem,
kxll si ngengeyä kutut,
Ulte zeykup fot
Foä ‘eykia tìpängkxot,
Foä leskxawnga aysäsyepit steyki,
Ngengarì ayohengä aysìlpeyit yem:
Eywal ayohengit zivong.
3
Thy choicest gifts in store,
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign:
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen
.
Ngeyä sweya sìtìnghu,
Tutet nìftxavang tìng;
Tutel nulkrr eivyk ayohengit:
Tutel zivong ayoengä horenit,
Ulte frakrr tìng ayoengur lunit,
a tsun rivol txe’lan sì mokri
Eywal tsahìkit zivong.
4
Not in this land alone,
But be God’s mercies known,
From shore to shore!
Lord make the nations see,
That men should brothers be,
And form one family,
The wide world over.
Ke mì fìatxkxe nì’aw,
Slä livu a Eywayä tìyawnit kame,
Ta txampay ne txampay!
Eywal keykame pongut
Tsnì sutan zene smukan livu,
Ulte slu ‘aw soaia,
Txana kìfkeymì.
5
From every latent foe,
From the assassins’ blow,
God save the Queen!
O’er her thine arm extend,
For Britain’s sake defend,
Our mother, princess, and friend,
God save the Queen!
Ta frakxutu atusok,
Ta tspangyuä tukru,
Eywal tsahìkit zivong!
Tutet lew si ngengeyä pxun,
Zong fpi Kelutral,
Ayoengä sa’nok, tsahìk, sì ‘eylan,
Eywal tsahìkit zivong!
