We’re back with our 39th episode, and this week, along with all the usual news and air date info, we have an interview with UNTIL DAWN composer Jason Graves, who talks about the challenges of composing music for a very unique game.

Until Dawn is an interactive drama survival horror adventure game, which (for our older listener) is somewhat akin to the old ‘choose your own adventure’ books. When eight friends are trapped on a remote mountain retreat and things quickly turn sinister, they start to suspect they aren’t alone. Gripped by fear and with tensions in the group running high, you’ll be forced to make snap decisions that could mean life, or death, for everyone involved. Every choice you make in your terrifying search for answers – even the seemingly trivial ones – will carve out your own unique story. The game stars Hayden Panettiere (Heroes, Nashville), Rami Malek (Mr Robot), Brett Dalton (AoS), Peter Stormare (Arrow older Count Vertigo, Berlin in the Black List).

Jason Graves is an Academy Award-winning (BAFTA) composer who has brought his passion for music to projects such as THE ORDER: 1886 (SONY), EVOLVE (2k GAMES), TOMB RAIDER (SQUARE ENIX) and DEAD SPACE (EA). He is particularly enthusiastic about illustrating a project’s story and character arcs through the power of music. His sophisticated composition style has made his work synonymous with unique musical textures and cinematic orchestral writing.

In this weeks show:

  • We take a look at the tv & films we’ve watched over the last week, and a catch up with Ross’s latest gaming and tv watching.
  • A full round up of the tv news from the last week including news on the new Star Trek tv series, the BBC Bringing Philip Pullman’s ‘His Dark Materials’ to BBC One, and a casting update for the villains of Gotham.
  • The interview with Jason Graves about his music for Until Dawn.
  • The latest tv cancellation and renewal info.
  • As usual, all the latest tv air date updates, and a look forward to tv in the next 7 days.
