Another hotly anticipated show will make it’s back in January, with Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), a small boy called Bruce (David Mazouz), and his British butler Alfred (Sean Pertwee) returning in Gotham on Channel 5 on the 11th January at 10pm.

Channel 5 made the decision to hold back airing the show until the new year, rather than run it close to the US this year. Whilst this did leave fans with an agonising wait and having to dodge internet spoilers, it does mean we don’t end up with a huge gap in the middle of the season like they have in the US. Gotham will run as one solid block in the UK.

This season of Gotham has been subtitled ‘Rise Of The Villains’ and, as you’d expect, sees the show delve deeper into the back catalogue of DC Comics to extract more origins of Batman’s rogues gallery. Young Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), Robin Lord Taylor’s brilliant Penguin, and Cory Michael Smith’s embryonic Riddler will be joined by Tigress, Mr. Freeze, and we’ll get some more possible Joker origins… I’m sure it will have been worth the wait!
