Over 12,000 fans apply to see Peaky Blinders come home to Birmingham!

We’re only a week away from the BBC’s smash hit TV series Peaky Blinders return to BBC Two, however the stars of the show are also returning to Birmingham for a red carpet premiereat The Everyman Cinema, Mailbox Birmingham.

On Wednesday 4th May, BBC Birmingham will welcome the cast of Peaky Blinders to an exclusive screening of the first episode of series 3, with a select group of local fans who have been allocated golden tickets to attend the exclusive event.

The winners were chosen at random from 12,718 entries with 70% of the winning tickets allocated to Birmingham postcodes and residents of the West Midlands. If you missed out on tickets, fans are still encouraged to turn out for the very special event in their finest Peaky Blinders outfits and 1920’s themed costumes and watch the red carpet arrivals.

Series three of the BBC Two cult drama sees Tommy Shelby pulled into the glamorous and dangerous world of international intrigue in 1920s Britain, putting his entire organisation and family at risk, and forcing him to question everything about his own ambitions and desires

Today BBC Birmingham has also announced that Gaite Jansen, Kate Phillips (Linda Shelby), Birmingham-raised Harry Kirton (Finn Shelby) and Coventry lad Jordan Bolger (Isiah) will be joining Cillian Murphy (Tommy Shelby), Paul Anderson (Arthur Shelby) and Packy Lee (Johnny Dogs) as well as the show’s producers and Birmingham born Steven Knight at the event.

Steven Knight says, “I’m thrilled that the new series of Peaky Blinders will be screened in its heartland, Birmingham, and I hope the people of the city will enjoy the event. The third series is stronger than ever.”
