Pop Up Screens Announces Summer Programme For 2016

If you’ve never been to an outdoor film screening, this Summer, Pop Up Screens have revealed an epic programme of classic films, which might just tempt you to give it a go!

Once again Pop Up Screens has put together an Oscar-worthy programme, that includes classic comedies Anchorman and Four Weddings and a Funeral, 80’s blockbusters Top Gun and Back To The Future, fantasy adventures Jurassic World and Star Wars – The Force Awakens and girly favourites Pretty Woman and The Notebook.

To provide the perfect al fresco settings, this year’s London venues will include:

  • Bishops Park in Fulham
  • Greenwich Peninsula
  • Coram’s Fields
  • Ravenscourt Park in Hammersmith
  • Manor House Gardens in Hither Green
  • East Greenwich Pleasaunce

In addition this year, Pop Up Screens will also be taking over the courtyard of the city’s historic Guildhall in EC2 for seven nights in August to include a special screening of the mighty Gladiator where visitors will get the chance to see the Guildhall’s amazing Roman Amphitheatre.

Tickets are £12 for adults, £6 for children and you can bag yourself a weekend ticket for £25. You’re welcome to bring blankets, beanbags and cushions or you can hire a director’s chair for £2. There will of course be popcorn from Drum and Kernel, burgers and craft beer on offer and you can bring your own drinks and snacks too!

Pop Up Screens founder David Leydon said: “Pop Up Screens is all about creating an atmosphere for you to have fun with your friends and loved ones and see a movie you love.”
