‘Unidentified’ Sci-Fi Drama in Development From Zac Levi & Smallville Veterans

A new show is under development at NBC from Zachary Levi’s Middle Man Productions and Universal Television it has been announced.

Unidentified, which is the name of the drama (so it’s identified by being called Unidentified… thanks Zach, this is not going to be at all confusing!), is a described as a “high octane thriller with sci-fi elements, which centres on a CIA operative trying to protect his family from an unimaginable secret.”

Zac will serve as exec producer, along with Turi Meyer and Al Septein, who will also serve as showrunners. Meyer & Septein are both veterans of Smallville, having exec produced and written for the show. They also worked together on The Vampire Diaries, Hawaii Five-0 & Salem. Sean Finegan (Getaway with Ethan Hawke/Selena Gomez), will be writing the pilot. Justin Allen from Middle Man will co-executive produce alongside Finegan.

Zac Levi is of course well know to us geeks for Heroes Reborn, playing Fandral in Thor, and of course, the lead role as our beloved Chuck. He’s currently shooting Alias Grace for Netflix, which is a historical drama based on the true story of convicted murderer Grace Marks, adapted from the Margaret Atwood novel of the same name. No news on if Zac will star in Unidentified, but I imagine it’s extremely likely!

As Unidentified is only currently in development, there’s obviously no air date info yet, but we’ll let you know when we hear something more.
