This week’s packed show sees Ross return as co-host, and an interview with Emmy nominated director Dale Stern for his work on the fantastic VEEP!

Dale has been working on Veep since the beginning as an assistant director, but this season had the chance to fully take the helm in the episode ‘Mother’. This sees Selina forced to put her election campaign on hold, when her mother suffers a stroke and she has to go to the hospital. It’s a fabulously dark and emotional episode of the show, and won Dale an Emmy nomination for Best Director. Not bad for his first time in the big chair! Dale’s also worked on Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Detour, Borat & Brüno.

In this weeks show:

  • Chat with co-host Ross about the tv shows we’ve been watching, and games we’ve been playing, including Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Batman: A Telltale Game, The Night Of, Narcos and an update on my Gilmore Girls obsession!
  • A look at all the latest tv news from the UK and the USA including Jim Broadbent on Game Of Thrones, a new show from Chuck’s Zac Levi, Krypton casting, and a couple of horrible ideas for ‘reimaginings’ of classic literature by US networks!
  • Interview with Emmy nominated director Dale Stern about working on VEEP!
  • As usual, all the latest tv air date updates, and a look forward to tv in the next 7 days in TV.
