Sky Living announced today they have picked up Hayley Atwell’s new series Conviction, with a uk air date currently planned for some point in November.
Conviction follows lawyer and ne’er-do-well former First Daughter Hayes Morrison (Atwell) who is strong armed into taking a job as the head of Los Angeles’ newly created Conviction Integrity Unit to avoid being convicted herself. The task is to lead a team who will turn over cases where there is credible suspicion of wrongful conviction. This will hopefully give her a chance to turn things around with her high-powered political family… and stop her doing anything else that might wreck her mother’s Senate campaign…
Eddie Cahill (CSI: NY, Friends) plays her boss, and her team consists of Shawn Ashmore (X-Men, Quantum Break), Merrin Dungey (Once Upon a Time), Emily Kinney (The Walking Dead), Manny Montana (Graceland), and Daniel Franzese (Looking).
Whilst I think we all miss Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, I am extremely happy her new show has found a very suitable home in the UK.
Conviction will air in November 2016 on Sky Living in the UK.
