E4 have got a new comedy horror series arriving this month from Misfits creator Howard Overman, and it looks brilliant!
Crazyhead arrives on E4, Wednesday 19th October 2016 at 9pm, and follows two very different girls, as they battle demons, both mental and physical!
When Amy (Cara Theobold) discovers her best mate is harbouring a mean-mouthed, hell-raised demon, she knows she has to act. Thankfully she isn’t alone – she has Raquel (Susan Wokoma). Impulsive, temperamental and prone to violent outbursts, Raquel isn’t the obvious ally, but beggars can’t be choosers. Together the incongruous duo prepare for their first exorcism. What could possibly go wrong?
Overman describes the show as “a genre mash-up with elements of horror, which is quite tongue–in-cheek, and a large dose of humour. It’s principally about two girls who realise that the demons and scary figures they’ve been seeing aren’t figments of their imagination, they are in fact real. And they become a sort of kick-ass demon-fighting duo, and go on a journey together. It’s as much about their friendship as the genre elements, about two slightly lost girls who find each other.”
The show is produced by Urban Myth Films for Channel 4 in association with Netflix. Crazyhead will be broadcast in the UK exclusively on E4, with Netflix streaming the series globally following E4’s UK premiere.
