Banshee’s Ivana Milicevic Cast As Selina’s Mother On Gotham
Gotham’s Selina Kyle is about to have a long-lost reunion, when her mother Maria suddenly returns to the city it was announced today.
Banshee star Ivana Milicevic has landed a recurring role as Maria Kyle, “a tough-as-nails operator with an arsenal of street smarts, and a world-class drifter who is able to hide her true self behind a variety of personas.” It seems the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, as Maria is also a criminal, and is said to be “willing to use anything and anyone to get what she wants.” Her only weakness is her daughter Selina (Camren Bicondova), whom she claims to love, despite having abandoned her to the mean streets of Gotham…
Gotham Season 3, subtitled ‘Mad City’, sees Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) now working as a bounty hunter, trying to find answers about the escapees, and discover why their powers appear to be killing them. The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) looks to be back on top, Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) is getting way more ‘Riddler-y’, and we have new villains including The Mad Hatter and the Tweed Brothers, Talon, and Solomon Grundy.
Gotham Season 3 will air in the UK on Channel 5, Early 2017.
