Pop Up Screens Announces ‘Christmas Jumper’ Season

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and so from the 8th December, Pop Up Screens cinemagoers are invited to wear their favourite festive knits in support of Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day.

Original London pop up cinema Pop Up Screens is inviting its audiences to celebrate their festive sides and wear their best Christmas Jumpers to Pop Up Screens’ Cinema in the Snow.  Cinema goers can make donations to Save The Children at the Pop Up Screens Cinema in the Snow events, in return for wearing their silliest or most festive Christmas knits.

The money raised from audience donations will go towards helping Save The Children to give the world’s forgotten children a brighter future, bringing essentials such as healthcare, education, protection and food to the millions of children around the world who are missing out on the most basic support.

“Pop Up Screens is all about creating an atmosphere for you to have fun with your friends and loved ones and see a movie you love,” commented Pop Up Screens founder David Leydon.

Pop Up Screens has returned this winter season with a magical programme of classic Christmas movies to delight audiences both younger and older with The Cinema in the Snow.  This year Pop Up Screens have created their own unique winter wonderland at the Hackney Showroom, East London, where audiences enter the cinema through a wardrobe and snuggle up in their very own white Christmas.

Pop Up Screens’ classic Christmas movies line-up includes the much-loved family favourites Elf, Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street and The Muppets Christmas Carol.  Also added to the mix are films to curl up with, Love Actually and It’s a Wonderful Life as well as off beat comic classics The Grinch and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Tickets are £20 for adults, £10 for under 10s and families can get a bonus price ticket of £50 for two adults and two under 10s.

In this wonderland setting audiences will of course find popcorn from Drum and Kernel, as well as handmade brownies, craft beer, pimped hot chocolate and lovely festive mulled wine plus a range of other alcoholic and soft drinks.
