Supernatural Season 12 Gets January UK Premiere Date On E4
Supernatural fans rejoice! The Winchesters are back in the UK on Wednesday 4th January 2017 at 10pm for Supernatural Season 12 on E4. This is the earliest we’ve had the monster hunting brothers back in about 7 years, so a pat on the back for the schedulers at E4… I’d say ‘raise a glass’ to them, but we all know what happens to their scheduling when they drink… 😉
If you remember, the end of season 11 left Sam (Jared Padalecki) in a rather precarious situation, after a Woman of Letters showed up at the bunker, and promptly shot him. Dean (Jensen Ackles) was also having an interesting time, after Amara resurrects the brothers long dead mother.
The official synopsis of Season 12 Episode 1 gives the title as “Keep Calm and Carry On”, and sees Dean overwhelmed as he comes face to face with his mom, Mary Winchester (guest star Samantha Smith). Meanwhile, Sam is fighting for his life after Toni, from the Woman of Letters, shot him…
As Supernatural is CW’s longest running show, you may be worried that it’s coming to an end. But don’t panic yet. Jared & Jensen have stated they’d want to at least make it to episode 300. That’s Season 14, episode 13 if you’ve lost count.
CW president Mark Pedowitz has also stated “As long as ratings stay stable, and they want to do the show, and I’m still in the chair, I’m going to be their biggest supporter to continue.” He continued “I think Supernatural is going to be around in some form long after I move off this chair, and the best thing I can do for the guys, and for the studio, and for the showrunners is basically make sure we don’t mess them up.” So it’s not going anywhere for at least a few more years.
Supernatural Season 12 will air in the UK on Wednesday 4th January 2017 at 10pm on E4.
