As has become somewhat a tradition with the CW, it’s handed out early renewals to all of it’s returning Autumn (Fall) season shows.

That means the DC/Berlantiverse shows return, with The Flash back for Season 4, Arrow Season 6, Supergirl & DC’s Legends of Tomorrow for Season 3. Proving once again, you can’t keep those Winchester boys down, Supernatural will be back for a historic 13th Season. On the comedy side,  Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will return for Season 3, as will Jane the Virgin for a 4th Season.

“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas,” commented CW president Mark Pedowitz. “Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”

Underperforming freshman shows Frequency & No Tomorrow haven’t made the cut, and also didn’t receive back orders for the rest of the first season, which would usually be a stake through the heart of a new series. However, they may not be totally dead in the water, as CW have a new deal with Netflix, which could save them if they becomes popular via streaming. Having said that, Pedowitz added “Unless something extraordinary happened, we had no intention to go beyond 13 [episodes]”… A final decision will be made in May.

No decision has been made on The Originals, The 100, iZombie, and Riverdale yet, as they will air their latest seasons in the next few months.
