Fans of The 100 have been patiently waiting for the new series, but the time for it’s return is drawing ever closer. Despite the weirdly upbeat backing track, things are looking decidedly darker for the Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the people of Arkadia.
Last season saw Clarke destroy ALIE’s City of Light to free everyone under her control. However some people aren’t happy about being forcibly removed from their virtual paradise, and dumped back into a real-world apocalypse!
It also seems the Earth is fighting back, as radioactive fallout overtakes the Grounder city of Polis, and not everyone is going to survive… “How do we tell these people that the world is ending after everything they’ve been through?” comments Clarke in the trailer. Yep, that is a difficult conversion to have. Also how do you fight an ‘enemy’ that can’t be reasoned with, and can’t be killed?
Bellamy (Bob Morley), Jaha (Isiah Washington), Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) Jasper (Devon Bostick), Abby (Paige Turco), Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), Raven (Lindsey Morgan) & Murphy (Richard Harmon) have all still survived up until now. But I get the distinct impression they might not all make it through the next 13 episodes…
The 100 returns in the US on Feb 1, and is currently scheduled to return to E4 in April in the UK.
