The last Defender has arrived! Danny Rand – aka Iron Fist has a brand new, full on trailer, and it’s looking extremely awesome!
The show follow the story of billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones – Game of Thrones), who returns to NYC fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash. Using his abilities as a skilled martial arts with the power of the ‘Iron Fist’, he is determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as a superhero.
Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, Iron Fist first appeared in the comics in 1974, Danny Rand learns to become a master martial artist in the mystical city of K’un-L’un, which includes the ability to focus a concentration of his chi in his fist… Hence the superhero name.
This is the last of Marvel’s stand alone series, before we get to see Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Michael Colter), and Iron Fist team up in The Defenders later this year.
Marvel’s Iron Fist will launch globally on Netflix on Friday 17th March, 2017
