Game Of Thrones Iwan Rheon Cast In ‘Marvel’s Inhumans’

Iwan Rheon went from playing a superhero in Misfits, to Ramsay Bolton, the mad, bastard son of Roose Bolton in Game Of Thrones. His new role sees him back to superheroing but sticking with mad, as Maximus The Mad in Marvel’s Inhumans.

Maximus is the deranged younger brother of Black Bolt, ruler of the Inhumans. He is described as “clever and charming Inhuman that is fiercely devoted to the people of Attilan, especially his brother, the King – although he harbors an intense desire to wear the crown himself.” So somewhat ‘Loki’ to Black Bolt’s ‘Thor’ if you like… In the books, Maximus was exposed as an infant to the Terrigen Mist, but had no outward signs of mutation. However, it did give him powerful psionic abilities, but he chose to hide them from the rest of the Inhuman population. Along with his psionic powers, he’s an extraordinarily gifted inventor with a superhuman intellect, and advanced knowledge of physics, mechanics and biology.

The new Inhumans series is being shepherded by Iron Fist‘s Scott Buck, and comes to US network ABC on the 26th September 2017 for an 8 episode run. The first 2 episodes will also air on in IMAX cinemas at the start of September, before the terrestrial broadcast. The show is also not being seen as a spin-off from Agents Of Shield, despite the fact Inhuman characters have been popping up on that show for a few seasons now.

Still too early to have a UK pick up for Marvel’s Inhumans, but we will let you know when we hear something.
