Strike Back Season 6

Strike Back strikes back, as Season 6 begins shooting with a brand new cast, and is apparently ‘coming soon’ to Sky 1! The channel posted the above image to it’s Facebook page, as a little tease promote it’s return.

Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester‘s Stonebridge & Scott are gone. The ‘Section’ programme has been disavowed and disbanded. But when a notorious terrorist performs a brutal prison break, the covert organisation is restored in order to track down the escaped villain.

Tasked with covert military intelligence and high-risk operations, the resurrected unit embarks on a lethal manhunt that will uncover a vast web of interconnected criminal activity. As the team journey across the Middle East and Europe, they uncover a deadly conspiracy which threatens to overwhelm them all and change the face of modern warfare forever…

The new team consists of:

Sergeant Daniel ‘Mac’ McAllister, played by Luther’s Warren Brown, described as an affable, physically capable ‘man of his word’, driven by a desire to avenge the team he’s lost.

Sergeant Samuel Wyatt, played by Daniel MacPherson (The Shannara Chronicles, APB, The Bill), a bar-room philosopher who works best alone and has no intention of being dragged into a team situation.

Natalie Roberts, played by Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones, Hollyoaks), who comes from a military family and excels at psychological profiles and seeking weaknesses in others, but she might be blinded to her own fault-lines.

Gracie Novin, played by Alin Sumarwata (Neighbours, Home and Away), a gear-head who is looking to make the step up. She is genuine, honest to the point of bluntness, and the heart and soul of the team.

For those of you missing the old team, you can catch our interview with Philip Winchester, where he talks about his new show Chicago Justice, and discusses his thoughts on the new Strike Back.

There’s no air date set of Strike Back Season 6 yet, but the comment that it’s ‘coming soon’ to Sky 1 would suggest we may see it in the Autumn 2017.
