MCM Comic Con – Luke Mitchell (Blindspot) & Rebecca Breeds (The Originals) Interview

by Dave Elliott

Another lovely day down here in London, but once again, I was up in the MCM Comic Con press rooms, gathering awesome interviews for your entertainment! The latest one we have is a joint interview with Blindspot’s Luke Mitchell and The Originals’ Rebecca Breeds.

If you’re thinking “that’s an odd combination of actors to throw together”, there was a reason. Originally they were booked for separate interviews, but MCM were running short on time, and were looking for ways to speed things up, so this seemed like a good solution… they are married after all!

Luke Mitchell is currently starring as Roman, wayward brother of Jaimie Alexander’s as Remi aka ‘Jane Doe’ in ‘Blindspot’, which as just been renewed for a 3rd Season. He also starred as Daisy’s Inhuman love interest, Lincoln, in ‘Agents Of Shield’, and John Young in the CW’s short lived reboot of ‘The Tomorrow People’. As an Australian, he has, of course, appeared in ‘Neighbours’, and also ‘Home and Away’ which is where he met Rebecca.

Rebecca Breeds has recently stared as the (somewhat bonkers) Aurora de Martel in ‘The Originals’, and Nicole Gordon in ‘Pretty Little Liars’. She is also Australian, and appeared in ‘Home and Away’ with Luke, which led to them starting a relationship, and getting married in 2013. She as just completed filming ‘Three Summers’, which is written and directed by British author and stand-up comedy legend Ben Elton. The film is a romantic comedy, which also stars Robert Sheehan (Fortitude, Misfits), and Jacqueline McKenzie (The 4400, Safe Harbour).

Blindspot airs on Sky Living and Pretty Little Liars can be found on NetflixThe Originals is currently running behind in the UK, but we are expecting Season 4 to appear Netflix at some point in the Summer.
