Angel alumni Amy Acker (say that fast 5 time in a row!) is setting up residency in Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse as Dr. Claire Saunders. Dr. Saunders is described as “The dolls doctor with an an acid wit” (usually aimed at the Dolls programming genius/computer geek, Topher.)
Amy proved her acting range in Angel with the incredible switch from the shy and geeky Fred to the awesomely powerful demon Illyria. Should be a great addition to the rest of the cast. There’s still a few spaces in the Dollhouse …

Variety has another casting update for Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse. Adelle DeWitt, the Dollhouse’s ruthless but protective boss is being played by British actress, Olivia Williams. You may have seen as Bruce Willis’s wife in The Sixth Sense, and playing opposite Bill Murray in Rushmore. Should be a really good addition to the cast.

Hollywood Reporter has a small casting update on Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse. Dollhouse, follows a group of people known as actives or ‘dolls’ who have had their personalities wiped clean to allow them to be imprinted with new personas. They are then hired out for various tasks (some legal, some not so legal). At the end of the job, they are mind-wiped again into a child-like state, and housed together in a hidden futuristic dormitory/laboratory nicknamed “The Dollhouse”.

As any regular reader will know know, here at Geektown we’re HUGE fans of Joss’s, and we say any news that he’s coming back to the small screen can only be good.
