The guys over a Moviehole were recently chatting to Alan “Wash” Tudyk, when he happen to mention there had been some talk of making a sequel to the excellent Serenity (the movie spin off from Joss Whedon’s awesome Firefly tv show). Apparently the DVD has been selling so well that it’s sparked Universal’s interest in making a new film. Tudyk says “Everybody in the Firefly crew – and that includes the ones who died in the movie – are excited about the prospect of doing another”.
I’d absolutely love to see …

“Moonlight” aired on CBS last night to less than favourable reviews according to ACIN.
Moonlight (name changed from Twilight) is a show about a vampire detective (stop me if you’ve heard this…) who drives a convertible (you know, this is sounding awfully familiar…) and has the hots for a young blonde girl (really, i’m sure i’ve seen this show somewhere already…)
USA Today said:
“… When it comes to grand-scale theft, it’s hard to be more obvious than CBS’ vampire-detective drama, Moonlight. It’s basically Angel without the search-for-a-soul underpinnings that gave Angel …

Could it finally be happening? The long (or should that be looooonnnggg) muted Buffy spin off finally could be on the move? Rumours are now flying that it’s all been green lit and will be filmed next year.
There are a few things about this that i love and makes me …

Rumours abound, that James Marsters of Buffy/Angel fame (and Smallville) could be guesting in an upcoming episode of BBC’s Doctor Who spin off, Torchwood.
Appearing in a show which is the spin off from a very popular original, but has a darker tone, and stars a seemingly immortal man… James should feel right at home!

Buffy was always one of my favourite shows, and although the cast may have gone their separate ways, Joss Whedon has decided to continue following the life of the Scoobies post Sunnydale in comic book form.
So, where are they now? Well, as you remember from the season finale, most of Sunnydale is now at the bottom of a large Hellmouth shaped crater. Buffy was last seen by Angel and Spike in Italy… wasn’t she?… Apparently not, it was a decoy. Buffy is actually leading 10 squads of slayers (500 slayers …

So, Joss Whedon is off Wonder Woman because of what sounds like creative differences with the studio… On one hand, a shame, on the other, it means he’s not going to have to compromise on his vision of what the story/character should be, and that can only be a good thing.
Plus, it also means he’s got a bit more spare time on his hands. Here’s an idea… Hey Joss! You remember that Ripper TV show we all want you to make?..
Comments direct from Joss Whedon on what happened.
