Michelle Ryan is… The Bionic Woman!
That’s right! Our own lil Zoe “You ain’t my muvva!” Slater, ex-Eastender Michelle Ryan, is to star in a pilot for a remake of the 70s classic, The Bionic Woman. The show is being made by NBC, and according to BBC News it’ll be a “re-imagination” (thank you SO much Tim Burton for that phrase…) of the original.
Have to say, of all the shows, there are worse ones that they could revived than one with a kick-ass hot chick in the lead role (yes i still miss Buffy…) So, good luck Michelle! Hoping to see more of you on our tv screens soon! ![]()
LucasArts, get to work you slackers!
This is a kinda “If only…” video. The Star Wars demo has been circling the web for a while, but i think this version really helps hammer home how awesomely cool a Star Wars game on the Wii would be! With any luck someone at LucasArts is taking notice… ![]()
STARGATE : News Updates! *Spoilers*
![]()
There’s been a number of Stargate stories over the last few days, so i thought i’d post a bit of a round up of things going on in the Stargate franchise.
SG-1 Movies
There are 2 direct-to-DVD movies in development to round up the series after season 10 (and the TV show) finishes.
Stargate: The Ark of Truth
“As SG-1 searches for an Ancient artifact which they hope can defeat the armies of the Ori, they learn more Ori ships are about to be sent through the Supergate to launch a final assault on Earth. Daniel discovers that the artifact, the Ark of Truth, may be in the Ori home galaxy, and SG-1 embarks aboard the Odyssey to find it, and pre-empt the attack. The I.O.A. has a plan of their own and SG-1 ends up in a distant galaxy fighting two powerful enemies.”
Stargate: Continuum
“While SG-1 attends the execution of Baal, the last of the Goa’uld System Lords, Teal’c and Vala inexplicably disappear into thin air. Carter, Daniel and Mitchell race back to a world where history has been changed: the Stargate program has been erased from the timeline. As they try to convince the authorities what’s happened, a fleet of Goa’uld motherships arrives in orbit, led by Baal, his queen, Katesh (Vala), and his first prime, Teal’c. SG-1 must find the Stargate and set things right before the world is enslaved by the Goa’uld.”
Amanda Tapping in Atlantis
The lovely Amanda Tapping will be joining Atlantis for 14 episodes next season, and apparently, “She’ll be coming in her own spaceship” (that’s Carter i assume, not Tapping… although imagine that would help with the traffic on the way to the studio)

Stargate : The Third Franchise
“It’ll have the same flavor as Stargate SG-1″ says producer Robert C. Cooper, with “the goal to have it on the air sometime in early 2008″. No news on plot/set up though, only “…like Atlantis, it maintains the spirit of Stargate but at the same time opens up a whole new universe.” Full interview here
More Evidence of Gears of War for the PC…
![]()
…thanks to Nvidia releasing drivers with references Gears of War for the PC in them. I’m currently console less (apart from the DS, and the rather more sucky, soon to be traded, PSP), so i’m looking forward to getting Gears of War on a platform i have so i can see what all the fuss is about!
Stargate, Another Spin-Off series?

WARNING SPOILERS!
Gateworld.net is reporting that a 3rd live action tv series is on the cards for Stargate. The new series is only in the concept stages at the moment, and there’s no news of when or where it’ll be set, or who’ll be in it.
However, with SG-1 coming to an end (in 07 with 2 direct-to-DVD movies), and new comings and goings on Atlantis (with Dr. Carson Beckett/Paul McGillion out, and Serenity’s beautiful mechanic, Jewel Staite, in), i’d say there’s a distinct possibility of some musical Stargate chairs been played with people jumping round franchises.
