We first posted about Slingers a few months back when the ‘Slingers Sizzle’ promo video started floating around the internets. Here, Slingers writer Mike Atherton talks to Sean Pertwee about his thoughts on the project, and UK Sci-fi in general.

I’m really excited by the prospect of Slingers making it into a full tv show, so good luck to Mike and all the guys at Sleepydog, I really want to see this get made.

I’ll be posting more info we get as we get it.

Smallville Gets a 10th season!

The Smallville folk are celebrating this week after getting pick up for a historic 10th season. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is their last. With Tom Welling is heading into his mid-30s, I’m not sure how much longer you can realistically expect him to get away with playing ‘young Clark’. Plus the story-lines really are getting the point Clark should be full blown Superman by now.

As yes STILL no news from the programming numpties at E4 as to the air date for Season 9 of Smallville in the UK… As i mentioned in the UK air dates post, it’s usually around May, so we’ll have to wait and see. I still don’t get their logic in holding the series back for so long after the US air dates though…

Not sure which Ad agency is responsible for this quality viral for Supernatural on Living TV, but it is genius! :D

It was recently confirmed that The CW have renewed Supernatural for a 6th Season.

Currently working my way through season 3 on DVD, seeing as Living (for some bizarre reason) stopped their reruns after season 2 to air Season 5… Much as I’m happy they’re finally airing Season 5 for fans, it would be nice if they’d kept the up the nightly reruns too, so us people that came to Supernatural late can catch up!..

Ashes To Ashes - BBC1 – April(ish) 2010.
Last series of Ashes to Ashes, promising to answer questions and round off the Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes story (8 episodes).

Smallville, Season 9 – E4 – Best guess at the moment is ‘when E4 can be bothered…’ (usually around May 2010 if they’re true to form)… and they have the gall to complain about people downloading episodes, when it started airing in the US in Sept 09!
Trying not to go off on another major rant about E4 and their ridiculous scheduling policies…

Primeval, Series 4 & 5 – ITV – 2011.
Filming is due to begin in Ireland in March 2010.

Red Dwarf - Dave – 2011.
Due to go into production at some point in 2010.

Robot Chicken Season 3 Trailer!

Robot Chicken is ba-ba-baw-baaack! Season 3 of the toy murderin’, attention’ span shatterin’ TV series comes to DVD on the 25th January 2010.

No cow is too sacred, no star too celestial to escape the Robot Chicken treatment. Created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, Robot Chicken Season 3 delivers 20 fifteen?minute episodes of fastly-paced sketches featuring an impressive list of vocal talent from creator Seth Green and an impressive cast of Hollywood names.

In its native USA, Robot Chicken has gone on to become Adult Swim’s highest rated original show, winning an Emmy© for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation in 2006 and 2007. It was recently nominated for two more Emmy© awards for the Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II special.

The People Behind The Poultry

All of this mayhem started over a love of toys. Having worked throughout the comic book industry, Matthew Senreich rose through the ranks at comic bible Wizard to become editor of their Toy Fare publication. While attending the annual Comic Con in San Diego he ran into actor Seth Green (Austin Powers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Guy) and a friendship blossomed over their mutual love of action figures. An idea was struck to take a knowing swipe at everything from Star Wars to George Bush by animating their beloved toys – every man’s dream right? But where did the obscure title come from? Seth Green explains, “Um, “Robot Chicken” was a dish from the Chinese restaurant where we ordered take?out.”

Robot Chicken, Season 3

Highlights from Robot Chicken Season 3 include Sarah Michelle Geller pedaling a Japanese yeast infection cream; Albert Einstein and his wife have couple’s therapy and Governor Schwarzenegger investigates the illegal immigration issue with Speedy Gonzales and Dora the Explorer.

Special features

Chicken Nuggets – Gag Reel – VFX Comparison – Alternate Audio – Deleted Animatics – Deleted Scenes – Studio tour – Video blogs – Commentary on all 20 Episodes
