Not much there but a quite funky logo at the moment. I am quite looking forward to this movie (due 2008) though. I think Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark was an inspired bit of casting.
See the Silver Surfer…
USA Today has got the the first shot of the Silver Surfer from Fantastic Four 2. Kinda looks like a silver CGI dude to me… so… um… yeh…
The FF2 trailer is apparently attached to Night at the Museum due out this weekend, so might be a bit more impressive with him surfing about…
Wii-ing All Over the PS3
They say that there’s no such thing as bad press… I bet there are some Sony exec’s crossing their fingers and praying that’s true, given the roasting the PS3 has been getting in the press recently! He’s a round up of some of the comments…
Sony executive Phil Harrison claims “nobody will ever use 100 percent of its capability.  (Ermm… okay… if nobody will ever use 100 percent of its capability that does rather beg the question, why not make a cheaper console that people will eventually use to it’s full potential?..)
Ian Drake, president of tracking firm NotifyWire. – “I think we’re already at the point where people won’t pay a premium for the console or be forced into buying bundles.” Drake noted a US $1000 PS3 bundle was on offer at an online retailer for over 12 hours recently, claiming, “This sort of thing didn’t happen with the Xbox 360 until well after Christmas.”
PC World has the PlayStation 3 at no. 8 in it’s “Top 21 Tech Screwups of 2006” calling it ‘Late, Expensive, and Incompatible’.
New York Times said of the PS3, “The PS3’s whole online experience feels tacked-on and unpolished.” “It falls far short of providing the world’s most engaging overall entertainment experience.”
Time Magazine names the PS3 on it’s list of “5 Things That Went From Buzz to Bust” saying also “The PS3 is hideously expensive” and “the launch titles were lame”… guessing Time is off Sony’s christmas card list… ![]()
“The world is in your hand”

Don’t you just hate it when people want to show you their holiday photos… “This is the view from the hotel window…” … Really… that’s… erm… lovely….
However, Michael Hughes has come up with a really nice creative photo tour of the world.

Does Horde PWN Alliance in PvP?

Nick Yee over at The Daedalus Project has an interesting article looking at reasons Alliance generally seem to lose at Battlegounds (i thought it was just my server, but it appears to be more of a universal truth).
The survey was actually taken pre-2.0.1 (i.e. the huge battleground/honour changes), so I’d be interested to see to see a follow up survey to track any change in results post 2.0.1. Personally, I have noticed a decent ‘step up’ in Alliance battleground play since the patch went in… not that they are actually winning yet, but they are trying harder, and working together more. (Bless ‘em.) ![]()
I’m not sure if that’s coincidence; or due to the changes to the way the honour is generated; or it could just be the focus the patch bought to BGs that has maybe got Alliance playing them more.
