Seeing as we now have photos for all 13 of The Hobbit‘s dwarves, and as I’ve been photoshopping them together along the way, I though some of you Hobbit fans out there might like some desktop wallpaper to download and use! I’ve done one with all the names on, and one without. both are 1920 x 1080 pixels in size, so should be high enough resolution for most monitors.
All you need to do to download is right click on one of the links below, and select “Save image as…”, and save it to your computer.

Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield Revealed!

Last but certainly not least of dwarves from The Hobbit is finally revealed – Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield! Thorin is leader of the Company of Dwarves, and was the son of Thráin II, the King of Durin’s Folk in their exile from Erebor, and the grandson of King Thrór. The sword Thorin is wielding in that picture is Orcrist (goblin-cleaver).
So there you have it! All 13 of the dwarves from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit!

We bought you 5 of the dwarves from Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey‘ a couple of days ago, but now we have 2 more to add to the line up. A bit more photoshopping, and Dean O’Gorman as Fili and Being Human’s Aidan Turner as Kili join the group.
If your thinking they look a bit less like your traditional ‘short round beardy dwarf’, that’ll be because Kili and Fili are the scouts of the outfit. They are also Thorin’s (Richard Armitage) nephews and the youngest in the company.
UPDATE: And here are 3 more! Stephen Hunter as ‘Bombur’, James Nesbitt as ‘Bofur’, & Ken Stott as ‘Balin’ (i’ll shop them into the lineup when I get chance!)

Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins
There was a shot of 3 of the dwarves from Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey‘, that cropped up online yesterday, and now 2 more have joined them.
Quick bit of photoshop later, and I give you a group shot of Nori (Jed Brophy), Ori (Adam Brown), Dori (Mark Hadlow), Oin (John Callen), and Gloin (Peter Hambleton).
For those of you that haven’t caught the recent issue of Empire magazine, i’ve also included their pic of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins.
All shaping up to look every bit as superb as The Lord of the Rings. Can’t wait… Roll on 2012!

After yesterday’s casting announcement for The Hobbit, i started looking around for photos of the actors to see what they look like… And that let me to break out Photoshop to see what they might look like! The original photos are below.

Other casting includes Stephen Hunter as Bombur, and John Callen as Oin, but i’m struggling to find decent photos of them!
For those of you who are wondering if this rules out Bill Bailey playing one of the dwarves, not necessarily, as there are still 5 of the 13 gruff beardy fellas that are in The Hobbit to be cast – Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, and Nori.
Other Hobbit casting rumours at the moment are that the brilliant Stephen Fry could be up for an as yet unspecified role, as are David Tennant and James Nesbitt.
Bill Nighy is apparently under consideration for the voice of the dragon Smaug.
Martin Freeman IS Bilbo!

Just been confirmed by Warner Bros – Martin Freeman IS Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s 2 movie based on The Hobbit!
Jackson has said “Despite the various rumours and speculation surrounding this role, there has only ever been one Bilbo Baggins for us.”
Also confirmed, Richard Armitage (Spooks, Robin Hood, Strike Back) as Thorin Oakenshield, leader of the Dwarves who make the trip to the Lonely Mountain. Have to say, Dwarf isn’t the first role that comes to mind when I think of Armitage, but I trust in Jackson’s team and their casting skills. Having said that, he’s a good actor, and he does have the gruff Dwarven voice for it (make up and effects will cover the rest!) I also guess that means Spooks is in for another change in lead actor…
The rest of the dwarves are made up by Aidan Turner (Being Human) as Kili, Rob Kazinsky (Eastenders) as Fili, Graham McTavish (24, Red Dwarf) as Dwalin, John Callen (Power Rangers Jungle Fury) as Oin, Stephen Hunter as Bombur, Mark Hadlow (King Kong) as Dori, and Peter Hambleton as Gloin.
