TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meangingless collection of letters that has to be looked up

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

  47. Gripper says:

For Ross (who enquired below) or anyone else interested, OJ: Made in America is a five-part documentary which is part of ESPN’s excellent 30 for 30 series. Like all 30 for 30 docs, it is only on BT/ESPN over here. Episode one will be on Monday July 11 at 9pm on BT Sport 1 (source is trailer). I don’t think they’re going to do all five parts on five nights the same week like they did in the US. Reviews were excellent. Indeed, if you have BT channels, they repeat 30 for 30s all the time, often titled ESPN Films. I could recommend loads of them but three of the best are Survive and Advance, Silly Little Game and The Two Escobars.

    • Gripper says:

One correction, part two is on Tuesday 12th, so I guess they are showing all five parts the same week.

  52. Howard says:

apologies if this is no good but digital spy have published another brief guide on upcoming premieres between July and September

p.s. do you think it is too soon to hear rumors/confirmations of pick ups for series coming from the usa in autumn or fall as it is referred to over there

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Or “rumours” as it is referred to over here. Yes and no. Rumours, as such, tend to be rather thin on the ground but it is about the kind of time we might start hearing about UK purchases, certainly for those that might air near the US date.

As for the digital spy list, thanks. We’ll have a look

  53. david green says:

  66. ECO says:

I see someone has already asked about what leaving the EU might mean for British movies / TV series and Game of Thrones production costs. Can I ask what it could mean for other series like Dr Who, a new version of Downtown Abbey, Humans and Outlander which are all made in Wales, Scotland or in the North of England. Did they use grants from the EU or were they all backed by BBC, ITV or from networks in the USA? Will more things be filmed in Ireland now for tax breaks?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

      Hi ECO,

As we mentioned before, but just reiterating, Game of Thrones is fine as it’s not had EU funding since season 2, despite some stories to the contrary in some of the papers.

Dr Who is funded by purely (as far as I can tell) the license fee, so should be fine. Downton Abbey has ended, and there is no other version. The Outlander people are saying they don’t think it will effect the show. Humans is co-production with AMC so shouldn’t be effected, although Channel 4 itself did have/does currently have some EU funding.

As for the overall picture, it’s very hard to tell. It will be a massive shift for the industry as a whole, but until we know what’s actually happening, and what deals end up in place, no one really knows. You may see more partnerships with the US. You will still see partnerships with EU countries I suspect. It just makes the whole thing more difficult.

  67. Rolin says:

    Hi Guys,
As mentioned on a prevoius post, please can you record Vikings Season 4b on Amazon Prime on the lists above, although no delivery date is yet known.
Seasons 4 and 5 both have 20 episodes, and only the first 10 episodes of season 4 are on Amazon at the moment.

  68. Rolin says:

    Hi Guys,
According to Aint it cool, Orphan Black has been renewed for a fifth and Final season due out in 2017.
The Frankenstein Chronicles have also been renewed for a second season, du out in 2017.

  69. John H says:

The new Ray Donovan is not showing as being broadcast on 4th July, on Sky Atlantic, as you have indicated. Is there a hitch, and now a delayed showing? Anybody know anything?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

      Hi John,

It is still listed for 4th of July in the Sky listings, so it is correct.

      • John H says:

Hi Dave, I apologise profusely. I have suffered serious case of brain fade. I thought today was 4 July, which is obviously why it was not showing. Seriously embarrassed at misleading your followers. Roll on next Monday when we can see the next enthralling barely credible happenings in Hollywood.
        Apologies again
        John H
PS no way am I revealing my age.

  70. Sally woods says:

Any sign of anyone picking up WynonnaEarp Or Hunters yet??

  71. Mark J says:

Killjoys Season 1? Aug 2016 syfy uk? Shouldn’t that be season 2?

  72. Mary says:

The Clan renamed now as The Outlaws is airing on Friday 15th June on More4
Walter Presents announced it on Twitter

  73. Day says:

With leaving the EU will it really affect the plans and production of British movies and TV series? The papers say that HBO relied a lot on EU grants for Game of Thrones production costs. Will it hurt it’s production for the next series?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Nobody knows for sure. People have voted for something without knowing all the consequences of their choice. As for Game of Thrones, it is now so huge that it probably has pockets deep enough to offset the loss of grants. Besides, it’ll be finished by the time we leave.
As for other future productions, who knows? Frankly this is one of the minor ramifications of the decision taken.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

The GoT stuff in the papers I don’t think is totally accurate. It *did* get a lot of EU funding for the first couple of seasons, but now most of it’s funding comes from NI Screen and Invest NI, who are saying it’s ‘business as usual’. It had also already been announced that the next 2 seasons would be shorter runs anyway, which should help if the funding does reduce. Plus, as Andrew pointed out, we could very well still be part of the EU by the time the show finishes, as they are predicting it will take up to 2yrs for everything to go through.

As for the UK film/tv industry as a whole, that’s a little more tricky. It will very much depend on how an independent UK looks to foreign investment once we are actually out. And that’s a huge unknown entity until any new trade deals are in place. But that’s not just an issue for the film/tv industry, that’s a problem for all companies that rely on foreign investment. It’s unfortunate we find ourselves in this position now, but that’s where we are.

It will have a impact on European co-productions and British independent film companies working in Europe in the short term at least, as there’s so much uncertainty as to what’s going to happen now. All we can do is hope that things turn out okay, as we’re very much in uncharted waters.

      • Andrew Andrew says:

One thing is for sure- we all thought that Westeros was loosely based on Britain’s history. It turns out that in fact, that the future of the United Kingdom (which already was independent, by the way, but now considerably less united), is more based on Westeros.

        • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

I only used the term ‘independent’ as it seems less unwieldy wording than ‘non-EU UK’, but yes, I agree. It does start to look more like Westeros by the day.

Can’t help thinking that the arrival of the Wotsit faced Trump in Scotland, their understandable desire for a new independence vote, and his penchant for building walls can’t be a coincidence… 😉 (Despite the weather up there sometimes, I’m not convinced a wall of ice would be all that practical.)

  74. edward perkins says:

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It doesn’t look like it. The EPG shows them in the correct order and besides, episode 13 is the finale so it seems highly unlikely. Perhaps a data error on Sky’s part.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Most Haunted is on Really from 30th June. I think these are new episodes which would make them Series 19.

There’s no news of a Slasher renewal yet.

      • Richard O says:

Thanks Andrew. 🙂 I can’t remember which UK TV magazine I read it in, but it said there would be new Series 4 episodes of Most Haunted on UK TV Play (The start date was very soon). The assumption I made was that it’s the fourth series of the show made with channel Really.

Just belatedly spotted the info. on your news page (I tend to whizz straight to the airdates – guilty face) that Amazon Prime have picked up two Canal+ series – Baron Noir & The Bureau (Le Bureau des légendes). Excellent news (sort of) as I really want to see these. Though I’m so far behind on Netflix & Walter Presents stuff that it might be a while before I get round to subscribing to Amazon to watch them.

The article says season 1 of The Bureau (just renewed for a 3rd season in France) is up tomorrow but doesn’t mention the date for Baron Noir. Do you know if that is tomorrow as well?

Anyone know which episodes of Chicago Fire/PD/Med + SVU are crossovers please

    • Ian says:

      Pt 2 Chicago Med S1 Ep5 “Malignant”
Pt 3 Chicago PD S3 Ep 10 “Now I’m God”

      Pt 1 L&O:SVU S17 Ep 14 “Nationwide Manhunt”
Pt 2 Chicago PD S3 Ep 15 “The Song of Gregory Williams Yates”

      Hope this helps.

Any idea what happened to episodes 2 & beyond of that Spanish women prison drama on C4 which aired last month?
Do you know when it resumes presuming it hasn’t been on?

  114. AKK says:

hi i wanted to ask, since Nashville probably will be picked up by CMT and Hulu, will it affect the UK airing as Viacom (channel 5 and Comedy Central owner) owns CMT in the states. So will it continue on Sky Living?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

US shows don’t necessarily (or usually, even) air on the US network’s international channels in international markets (eg the UK). In fact, it’s possible that, in many cases, the network can make more money by selling it to other international channels.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

I suspect it will stay with Sky (assuming they want it), as CMT are only the US broadcast network. Lionsgate, who make the show, are the international distributor, so the Sky deal is with them, not CMT.
