Three divorced men share a flat which is owned, conveniently, by a divorce lawyer.
New show from Murphy’s Law/The Runaway scribe Alan Cubitt starring Gillian Anderson as a detective in the Northern Ireland Police, and Jamie Dornan (Once Upon a Time’s Sheriff/Huntsman) as the serial killer she’s trying to catch!
Originally on 5*, then 5USA and now back to 5* in may
Texas sports drama jumped to Sky Atlantic.
Private detective series from the BBC, set in one of Britain’s finest cities- Edinburgh.
French series starring Frenchman Jean Reno as a French detective in Paris, who speaks in English.
Has been picked up for a 2nd season, which will run in May, just a few weeks after Canada.
New historical drama from US channel History. It began on 3rd March 2013 and will premiere here on lovefilm’s streaming service.

Initially cancelled, this US remake of the outstanding Danish Forbrydelsen aired its first two seasons on Channel 4 and season 3 is coming to Netflix! Airs in the US June 2nd, and internationally, airing on Netflix ‘within a week of the USA’.
The 2nd of June marks the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. The original footage has been lovingly restored by the BBC and will be broadcast in full. Note- it is on BBC Parliament (not one of our regulars in the list) not BBC One.

The boys are back, as Woody, Quinn, Baxter and Rick are joined by a new face played by Jaime Winstone. Renewed for a final 2 episode 4th mini season after this. DVD release was set for 29 April but has moved to 1 July, to accommodate a change from April to June broadcast.
Second season already commissioned and due on these fair shores in July, with the remainder of season 1 before that. Episode 14 of season 1 airs on geng Feb
A Canadian detective series with a hint of Columbo (in that we the audience are told before the protagonists who the baddie is).
Idris Elba’s unhinged and unconventional detective began filming a third series in October.
Season 2 aired in the US from April and here from July 2012. The US date for season 3 is not confirmed yet, but if it is April again, it is reasonable to expect to see Mr Irons and co back in July .
This penultimate season 6 has a final 12 episode season 7, by which time Michael Westen and friends will have been “stuck” in Miami for 7 years… To be fair it is probably time he managed to leave!

Guesswork based on previous air dates (but it’s Sky Living, so who knows when it’ll turn up!) We’re still waiting on season 3, but it’s got a final 4th season… if you can call it that, of 6 episodes.

Ever since House and Wilson rode off into the sunset there has been space for a new medical drama in American TV land. Here is one contender from the quill of David Kelley, creator of Boston Legal, Ally McBeal and Chicago Hope.
Very hard to say when Rules of Engagement is likely to return as the 13 episode season 7 is airing as a mid-season replacement (that’s early 2013 usually) in the US, rather than its normal Autumn (aka Fall) slot.
Usually returns in Spring, but seems to be getting later and later in the year. Series 7 is recorded, but not showing up on the broadcast listings yet.
New stand up improvised comedy show where the cream of the comedy circuit are presented with the ultimate challenge: come up with a brand new routine on the spot based on topics presented to them right there and then.
July 2013
Season 3 started airing Oct 2012 in the US, but Sky held season 2 till July, so I think there’s a fair chance they’ll do the same with season 3.
Season 3 aired in Feb in the US, and is only 13 eps… and that could very well be your lot as its ratings in the US are not good, currently very much ’50/50′.
Airs in America on Feb 5th 2013, but Sky are saying July, so i’m guessing the deal with NBC only allows them to air it after the US run ends…
In 2013 vampires are out and Zombies are in. This interesting French series, an eight episode adaptation of the 2004 film, is coming to channel 4 in the summer
American remake of the British series about a group of women and their various affairs.

Sky Living has confirmed it has the rights and will bring us more of the Winchesters in 2013. They are currently saying July, but they said that last year, and it got bumped to Aug, so don’t be surprised if it slips back.
The eighth season is probably the last of Dexter and Fox will be bringing us to Miami within days of the Americans
August 2013
Season 1 aired a few weeks after the USA on Sky Atlantic, and given The Newsroom is one of the larger HBO shows, I suspect they’ll do the same with season 2. Airs in July 14th in the US, so it’ll should July/Aug over here.
One of the TV talent contests – return guess based on last year’s series.
James Bolam left last year, replaced by Denis Lawson. The other two original team members Amanda Redman and Dennis Waterman, are due to leave during series 10, with Nicholas Lyndhurst joining the cast. Return due in August based on previous airdates.
John Hannah returns in Charlie Brooker’s silly police procedural spoof. Guessed return based on the first season’s broadcast.
Sky’s popular supermarket sitcom returns. First two series both aired in August.
Autumn 2013
The firefighters and medics of Engine 51 are back in the UK courtesy of Sky Living…
This joint UK/French production is essentially a remake of Danish/Swedish Broen (The Bridge), where a body is discovered precisely on the border between the two countries, necessitating a joint investigation between the two countries, with all the cultural intricacies that brings.
In the case of Britain and France, there is no bridge of course, so this time it is called The Tunnel. Will air on Canal + en France and Sky Atlantic for UK satellite viewers
New American political thriller recently bought by Channel 4 in the UK. Season 2 guesswork for now.
Begins filming in the spring, with a view to broadcasting in the Autumn. According to Martin Clunes, this will probably be the final series.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as Dracula posing as a US entrepreneur in Victorian London. Showrunner is Carnivàle’s Dan Knauf. NBCUniversal coproduction with Sky Living.
Breaking Bad returns for its final 8 episodes in the US on Aug 11th 2013. Hopefully that should mean Netflix add the remaining episodes to the UK site Oct/Nov after the US finishes its run.
The Machine has picked Autumn for the start of season 2.

A third year of funny relationship woes.
True Blood used to air in Jan/Feb, but FX/Fox UK moved it up to Sept be closer to the US air date, so we had 2 seasons in 2012. That means it’s likely to be a wait till Sept again, unless Fox can push it even closer to the June 9th 2013 US air date this year. It’s a shorter 10 episode season this time due to Anna’s pregnancy.

Following a Christmas 2012 holiday special, the popular period drama has been re commissioned for a fourth outing, as we follow the fortunes of the Crawleys and their staff well into the 1920s. Will be broadcast on ITV in Autumn 2013
So it is out with the mythical court of Camelot and in with the mythical island of Atlantis. Same creators and same BBC One Saturday slot as Merlin, so expect more family friendly fantasy fun. Begins filming in Wales and Morocco in April, so we expect some casting news soon.

Starring Brit Damian Lewis as terror suspect Brody, the American remake of Israeli “Prisoners of War” returns to the US in September and if the same pattern is followed as last year, should be with us the following month
US version of The Office returns.
Returns for a 3rd horror outing.
Has previously aired in October but season 10 was changed to January for Fox’s rebrand launch night. It remains to be seen which pattern will apply to 11.
Back with a shuffled cast, as Kelly, Simon & Alisha all leave. That leaves Curtis & Rudy to meet Jess – a kind of female Larry David (Karla Crome), Finn – a childlike naive optimist (Nathan McMullen) and the sexy, but suspiciously stand-offish Alex (Matt Stokoe). Season 5 will be it’s last.
Canadian period drama centred on the lives of four women working in a munitions factory during the Second World War. Date very much to be confirmed, assuming it will air on ITV3 again, and assuming it will air around the same time as season 1.
Haven should return to SyFy in Oct 2013 with season 4.

Shortened final season for the US comedy. Premieres 4th Oct in the US. Usually airs around Feb in the UK.
It’s a hard one to guess because National Geographic seems to number some of the seasons differently to its native Canada, and previous seasons have not aired consistently. However, season 13 is due to air at some point later in 2013
Sequel to Syfy’s re imagined series, launches first online (YouTube) then all episodes will be put together for a two hour broadcast on Syfy Sunday February 10th 2013. No news on a UK broadcast date yet.
Originally projected to return earlier in the year, but it has since been cancelled, so Sky have been kicking the 3rd season airing around the schedules.
season 5 did not have a UK airing but was released on disc in October 2012. Netflix will be making all 5 seasons available at some point late in 2013.

Despite its cancellation three years ago, and subsequent on-off mootings of a film, it’s now confirmed that 24 will return to television as a ‘limited series’ – 24 – Live Another Day!
In American television, a limited series is something less than 24 episodes… and what we here might call ‘a series’. The ‘limited series’ format is popular among the cable producers (see Sons of Anarchy, Dexter), and apparently under consideration to be used more by the American networks.

Police orientated Chicago Fire spinoff
Original production airing on BBC America in the USA, but has yet to make it over here. There’s no guarantee it’ll air on the BBC in the UK, as BBC America isn’t funded by the license fee, and it’s a co-production with Canadian companies Cineflix and Shaw Media. It may get sold to a different channel here.

A TV show called called ‘Cult’ about cult TV show called ‘Cult’, staring The Vampire Diaries’s Matt Davis, Jessica Lucas from Cloverfield and Robert Knepper from Prison Break. Airs in on The CW in the US in Feb. No UK pickup yet.

Warner is married with Kids, whilst Eli has stuck to his stoner roots, but despite their differences, they’re still best buds. All is going smoothly, that is until their Dads unexpectedly move in with them…
When a partying wealthy socialite dies of an overdose, her long lost best friend, who’s also a police detective suspects foul play, so goes undercover, re-inserting herself into the families life to get to the truth.
Despite having intially ended after season 3, everybody’s favourite potty-mouthed baseball player is due to return. There isn’t a date for season 4 in America yet, so we don’t know when it will air on Fox here.

A somewhat nerdy Englishman (Stephen Merchant) tries to find his ideal lady in Los Angeles. Due to air on America’s HBO later this year so possibly Sky Atlantic here.
A surgeon is embroiled in a plot to assassinate the president in this new action show from Jerry Bruckheimer.
Yet to be bought in the UK. This one has been asked about quite a lot but doesn’t actually air in the US until April
Centers on U.S. Cyber Command, a unit that has been created around one agent who has a microchip implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
A remake of the 60s classic starting Raymond Burr, following his iconic role as Perry Mason, in the iconic role of the titular wheelchair-bound detective. The Event’s Blair Underwood takes charge this time round.

Another American remake of a British programme, this time even with the same lead in the form of the always brilliant Mark Strong, playing a Detroit cop, and accompanied by the equally excellent Brit Lennie James
Stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the owner of Miami’s most glamorous hotel in swingin 1959, just after the Cuban Revolution. No news on a uk air date yet, but it has been commissioned for a 2nd season airing in the US in Summer 2013, so that might encourage a UK channel to pick it up.
Sitcom about a the wife of a country music star who moves from Nashville, Tennessee to Malibu, California when he cheats on her. With this new start, she trys to re-start her own music career. Stars Reba McEntire.
From Starz who brought us Spartacus and Camelot comes this new series about a young Marco Polo in the Mongol court. Begins in America in September.
Stars Christian Slater and Steve Zahn as 2 brothers who run an agency that solve clients problems using the real science of human motivation and manipulation. Written by ‘Awake’ scribe Kyle Killen.
Anna Faris stars in this sitcom about a dysfunctional mum and daughter.

So… according to Sky Random Punt (aka Never Miss), PLL isn’t back till 2013, but more recently it has been reported that it won’t be returning to MTV at all
As of Sept 2011 - “Unfortunately Sky Living has no further commitment to new and future seasons of Private Practice.” Disney have decided to follow Breaking Bad’s lead and are going straight to a DVD release. Season 4 DVD was released 2nd April 2012.

The term “modern-day retelling” doesn’t always fill me with delight, especially when couple with the resurrection of a long-dead character. However, the forces behind this particular modern-day retelling with resurrection of title character are Kutzman and Orci – the geniuses behind Fringe, so in this case delight is in abundance!

Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect) returns in this sitcom about three nerdy young ladies who hype every weekend.
Sky Living strikes again… 3rd season has been dropped, so it’s currently without a UK broadcaster…
Not a low-budget remake of The 4400, but a drama about a small group of youths sent back to an Earth destroyed by a nuclear war – 100 of them.
Due to funding issues for season 3, Almighty Johnsons only starting filming in Jan 2013. It usually airs in Feb, but the late start has bumped the NZ air date – I’m guessing to either June or Sept 2013. If it’s June in NZ, we may get it Sept 2013. If it’s Sept in NZ could move it to Feb 2014 in the UK…
Prequel to Sex and the City… Starts Jan 14th in the US. No UK pick up yet.
Season 1 aired 8th April 2012 in the USA on Lifetime. It was picked up for a 2nd season (and expanded from 10 to 15 episodes) to air sometime in 2013. Still no UK pickup though.

Episodes 13-16 will air on the 25th, also a Saturday.
Episode 17 on the 31st- a Friday.
Episodes 18, 19 & 21 on the 1st- a Saturday again.
2 episodes aired on Friday instead of the 4 a week they had been doing
No episodes aired on Friday.
Four episodes aired early on Saturday morning last week and will do so again this week.
Series links should pick up the variations though.

Castle series 5 is currently airing on alibi. The second run will be on Channel 5 next year.
NCIS series 10 is currently airing on Fox and I would guess the second run will air on Channel 5 later this year, but I haven’t seen it confirmed.

For those who are interested, the crossover episode of CSI:NY season 9 will air on Tuesday in the regular CSI slot on Channel 5.
The CSI part will air a day earlier on Monday 20th.
This is of particular note for those who record CSI on a series link as this may only pick up one of the episodes.

It’s the same as the triple crossover a couple of years ago. Together the two episodes make a standalone story.
The CSIs are procedural with almost zero serial element so an episode out of sequence won’t matter.
The NY episode is 15 and the rest of the series will be back later in the year.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but here goes…. NBC hasn’t said that Hannibal is renewed or cancelled but it has released its schedules and Hannibal isn’t on them, so does that not mean its cancelled?

Hello Clare. It is a bit strange that it hasn’t been released yet. The season 1 discs were released in Region 2/B (here) long before Region 1/A (America). Season 2 was released about the same time over there but hasn’t appeared here yet.
It may be something to do with the second run rights. Netflix has only just added season 2 here and their contract may allow a reasonable window of exclusive viewing.

For the moment yes- season 1 has ended- but overall far from it. We will be treated to season 2 later this year, and in its home market, it has recently been renewed for a third season, which we will likely get next year.
So, a lot more to look forward to.

Yes, it finished in November. There are all sorts of repeats ongoing, but not series 10 at the moment. However, Sky living is showing series 9, so it’s possible you’ll get series 10 thereafter.

There will be no new episodes of Alcatraz or No Ordinary Family as they were cancelled last year and the year before, respectively.
They both aired on Watch. There are no broadcast repeats at the moment but Alcatraz is available on Virgin Media On Demand.
Both are available on DVD, and Alcatraz is also available on Blu-Ray.

I’m quite confused about whats going on with The Killing Season 3.
As it stands now right now, AMC in the US will air it in June and it is also coming to Netflix but the Season 3 Wikipedia page states “Netflix will stream the season approximately three months after its finale.”
So because no actual TV channel over here is airing it, since Channel 4 dropped it, wouldn’t that mean it wont be airing in the UK on Netflix until November?
If so then I wont be watching it on Netflix since thats way too late.
The Wikipedia article, to which you refer, reads like it is written from the US point of view, ie that Netflix has the second run rights. Three months is extremely good for second run rights, although it seems as though even a day or too is too slow for those who have already decided to obtain the content improperly.
As I understand it, in the UK, Netflix effectively has the first run rights, which suggests it could very well be made available here sooner. It all depends on the international rights agreement.
So watch this space.
Riiiight except I didn’t immediately try to obtain the content improperly and never do. I have my paid Netflix account ready to watch and my paid Sky+ Membership ready to watch it on Channel 4 but not only are they not even bothering to air it on actual UK television at any time but bringing a show to a service like Netflix 3 months+ late in this day and age means guaranteed spoilers of the entire story and ending regardless of whether you go looking for them or ignore them fiercely.
No need to ignorantly and incorrectly label everyone who resorts to downloading as the same when that couldn’t be any further from reality. I waited A FULL YEAR for my absolute favorite tv series to come back to UK TV instead of watching through other, far easier means and after an entire year had passed the channel didn’t even bother to release a simple statement announcing whether they had dropped it or if it would ever back. Didn’t matter anyway by that time since I had already been spoiled on every major twist and story point without even searching for the info myself.
I guess that was my reward for being such a faithful paying customer to these “brilliantly” run UK TV channels, isn’t it? X )
As I said, it reads to me like the three months applies to US second run rights, and as for international purchases, Netflix is just as entitled as anybody else to make the highest bid.
After a bit more digging, here’s what’s happening with The Killing season 3 in the UK.
Netflix funded the half of the costs this season, but AMC get 1st run in the US, with Netflix following after 3 months… However, in UK & Ireland, Netflix will run episodes of The Killing season 3 ‘within a week of the US’.

So no need to go find it elsewhere, you can get it within the week on Netflix UK.

It will be solely on Netflix for a considerable time. They will have paid a sizeable sum of money for the rights and you can appreciate why sharing doesn’t make good business sense.
I don’t have Netflix either so will be waiting for the Blu-Ray.

Nope 2 parts. The January part and then September part.
The September part changed channels part-way through, so for the purposes of series-link continuity, it aired in three parts.

I know it’s very early days, but has there been any hint of a UK network picking up Sundance Channel’s ‘Rectify’. It just got renewed for a second season in the US after airing only two episodes of S1.
It does look quite interesting, if perhaps a little bleak, but I haven’t heard anything about it coming here.
There’s not much precedent either, since I think it’s one of the first original dramas Sundance has made. The reviews have been fantastic, so I hope it does get some attention over here.

Dionne, season 1 has only just finished. Season 2 has been confirmed but does not have an air date in America yet, let alone here. Season 1 began in January 2013 so January 2014 would be a reasonable bet for now.

Andrew, to your point on the planner, Sky seems to leave it to the individual channels as to whether they use the ‘New’ prefix with the programme title. The episode title is given so it’s a case of looking up the episode to see if it’s new, with Sony TV channel anyway. Strangely they give more details on the iPad app, such as season and episode numbers, than they do on the Sky box. Again this seems to be down to Sony, as the Sky channels have more detail.

I’d be surprised if E4 care about when they show the HIMYM finale, after all they are the ones who showed the Smallville finale 6 months after it aired in the US.
A whole six months? That is not very long. It’s odd these days that there is such a feeling that there is some kind of unwritten right that we get American programmes at the same time as Americans.
That said, I’m quite sure having spent money on the rights, the channel does “care” about its acquisitions. Perhaps not in the same way that fans “care”.
To be fair to Simon, it wasn’t 6 months, Smallville was 12 months behind, which I have to say is pushing it for an import… It’s entirely up to the channel when they air a show, and I understand the need to hold show’s over to remove breaks. But then you really can’t complain if the audience goes and gets the show by ‘other means’. Particularly when you’re dealing with shows that target a younger audience (Smallville and Supernatural are 2 shows that were/are always massively delayed from the US.)
Personally, as much as I adore Supernatural, there’s so much else on to watch right now, I’d probably end up dropping a different show to watch it if it was on at the moment. So it’s something to look forward to in a few months time.
Just makes dodging spoilers a little harder!

If it was six months behind, or 12 months as Dave says, that’s extremely long. If the internet didn’t exist, fine, but with the internet, spoilers etc shows that are that long behind end up being ruined by spoiler websites that don’t warn people or the fact people give in to “other means” of entertainment, then the UK channel wonders why the viewers aren’t very high for their broadcasts!
In some cases it’s even longer than 12 months- if a programme isn’t bought for the UK market at all. But you are right, people always seem to invent some justification for the the theft -the Internet as a whole and the UK channel seem to be the most common- neither of which would stand up in court.
As a fan of good television, it saddens me to think that the actions of a minority could result in fewer imports in future and / or higher fees for my pay-TV.

Ign are usually pretty good and it has said low ratings could be to blame. This is there opinion even though they gave episode 1 a 9 out of 10. Only game of thrones an justified that im aware of have scored 10 out of 10. I hope I doesn’t get cancelled after great reviews.
Unfortunately, good critical reception doesn’t always equate to good ratings, and it is usually the latter to which the accountants pay closer attention.
But I agree with you. I am looking forward to it. I haven’t seen any episodes yet so it is too early to develop an opinion as to whether or not I would be disappointed to see it cancelled.
What people have to remember about Hannibal is its on the car crash ratings channel that is NBC. While its not pulling the numbers many would have suspected based on the glowing reviews its still on course to be renewed and I’d be amazed if it didn’t.

James. Horrible Histories has been in production for about six months so I would expect it soon, and given previous patterns, before July. As for Futurama, I don’t know. It may be that Fox has or had second run rights but in fairness to Wikipedia, it does not list Fox in isolation. It also lists the Sky channels.

Regarding the imports, you are quite right. Quite the opposite of a joke response in fact, but what I do is use this very website to watch for the premiere dates of programmes I want to watch, and pay little heed to when they air in America, Spain, China or Senegal, unless I’m going there. That way I nearly always get to watch what I want, always have something to look forward to, and I’m rarely disappointed.
But then, perhaps I’m old-fashioned.

Tronn, indeed – some things don’t have UK broadcasters because it isn’t automatic that we receive everything produced in America. It is a far larger, and a different, country. They also do not receive everything we produce.
As for 6 months or more behind- we are only “behind” if one compares again to America. It’s probably a symptom of the Internet age that such information is so readily available. What is clear from this interesting little discussion is that, if we simply did not know when programmes are broadcast in America, or in my case have no interest because I don’t live there, then there is no problem. Thanks for taking the time to share your views though.

good news for the uk but i’ll still end up watching it on showtime which is a great and never watched anything through fox anyway or any other uk channel actually though but at least uk fans wont get it spoiled through other means
i watched it other ways because it took ages before to come on here i watched season 7 and past seasons as soon as it finished in the states same as burn notice watched season 6 ages ago and its not on here till the summer i wouldn’t do it if they had a reasonable airdate for us i don’t mind if we are about a month or two behind the states but some things take 6 months or more to come on here or don’t even get picked up here
I don’t understand why the Airdates are unreasonable. Is it specifically the date that you dislike, or is the problem due to knowing when the Americans get the programme? I.e. if you didn’t know when the programmes aired in America, would you feel the same need to go to the black market?
I’m just curious because I don’t see the problem with American programmes not being broadcast in Britain at the same time as America. It’s a theme that seems to crop up every now and again, and very bizarrely, some people get very cross with British channels when they don’t bring imports in within nanoseconds of their domestic broadcast.
I use a very tried and tested (and very legal) means of watching American imported television programmes and I’d be happy to share with anyone who is interested.
now i watch alot of tv programmes there are four pages full on my sky planner and also watching some things on netflix and i keep track of when they are on in america so with burn notice we are quite far behind the states, so i like to watch what i like watching asap. i finished season 6 of it in december of last year and its not on here till the summer which is when the states will get season 7 so by unreasonable thats what i mean we are a whole season behind as we are with person of interest but i am still watching that on channel 5, and knowing that when we get season two the states will have season 3 you see most of the time i want to be up to date with my stuff and lets not start about sky living with nikita and supernatural although they do good with bones and sky1 is also very good with their dates as are sky atlantic, game of thrones in mind .i don’t mind if we are 2-3 months behind but 6 months or whole seasons behind i dont like which is why i am happy about getting dexter alot sooner.
Tronn, that is very hard to follow, but I think what you are saying is that you keep a close eye on when American programmes are on in America, and feel impatient when they are not on in Britain at the same time. It’s a fascinating point of view.
I am happy about the Fox Dexter season 8 broadcast because it means the gap from 7 to 8 will be short. Obviously if I had watched season 7 at American pace, such as yourself, the gap is longer and I don’t see how that is better.
It is interesting to hear different views of course but I would always urge everyone to support our British channels or we might find one day that they are unable to import so much.
oh i support the british channels its only burn notice and dexter that i was watching by other means and with dexter i watched season 7 straight after all episodes had aired in the states, when did season 7 come on here a few months ago or so. and if they didnt decide to air season 8 within a few days of the states then we would have got season 8 around the same time we got season 7 and by then i would have finished it already. basically i am saying i dont mind a 2-3 month gap between us and the states but 6 months or a whole season behind like we are with burn notice and person of interest i don’t like and of course with some things they don’t even have uk broadcasters

Damo, most geektown visitors in the UK don’t have Showtime or Global or any of the North American channels, as a result of geography.
Would be a great option on a pay per view channel or another subscription basis but you are still able to watch stuff through there websites most of the time

Hmmm, interesting. I can’t remember where the 2nd came from, but a quick search shows 2nd May at 9pm appearing in some places on the Internet. Some places are also showing 7th may (as you kindly noted) but at 9pm which would be strange as Tuesday 9pm is Elementary’s slot. I’ve updated the entry but tagged it TBC for now as clearly there has been a bit of movement. I’ve also listed it as 10pm (after Elementary) as that currently looks vacant.
Looking at the broadcast schedule of Elementary in the US, there are 2 x 3 week breaks. So it could be that Sky Living will have some gaps to fill before the end of the season.
On a quick look, it doesn’t appear that we will be affected by these gaps, thanks to the difference in timings. But even if there were, I can’t imagine a channel scheduling a big new import like Hannibal to fit in some on-off slots amongst another big import’s tail end…

Good question. However, there are a couple of glitches going on at the moment, so that’s probably just one of them. I’m sure it will be back soon.

Well regardless of how good it is or isn’t, it was the lowest-rated, in-season premiere of any scripted series ever on the big four networks. After it went from a 0.9 to 0.7 rating for its second episode, it was highly unlikely to ever reach an audience big enough to warrant a renewal. And if that’s the case then they might as well show something higher-rated even if it’s just repeats.
It was really awful NBC made the right decision even repeats scores higher and after watching the first 2 eps I wish I could get the time back did not improve at all glad its gone and another failed program coming to the uk

As far as I am aware all of these are either filming or have just started being shown in the US so we will be waiting a while for them. Atlanta has a couple more series to go and from past experience ITV2 will show each franchise from the start before showing any new series.

Please don’t think too ill of the British channels. They take a lot of flak with imports, especially US ones. If they don’t show programmes within seconds of their US airing, some people call them useless and such like. If they do show them right away, some people complain about the breaks in the run.

Hi. Arrow on sky 1 isn’t planned to record next week. Has it finished or is it taking another break? It’s had like 3 one one season.
Episode 20 will return on 29th April. The problem with airing so close to the US dates, although it pleases some people, is that the run is subject to all the season breaks that America gets.
Just watched a preview for HBO’s VICE. This looks amazing. Hopefully we will get it here on sky atlantic or summat. Any chance??
I’m not sure it would translate well across the pond, but if it did, my understanding is that it would indeed have to be on Atlantic.

Episode 9 is on 16/04 at 2200hrs. Another episode is on the following Tuesday in the same slot but it doesn’t specify (yet) whether or not it is episode 10.

Sky Atlantic have said summer so not long its been a decent season bit more quality than the previous one
It’s in the unknown section because season 1 was due to air in July here, then was changed to October. This year we haven’t seen or heard any news, so it would be fair to guess sometime between those months again

The renewal of Bates Motel isn’t likely to alter its chances of coming here from where they stood before the renewal. The others are in the “unknown” section for a reason.

The UK version had a fifth series and it was the last. I don’t know about the US version- my guide is showing new episodes currently airing on Sky Living, but they are labelled Series 11

Although renewed for a second series, as you note, the first is still running, and it doesn’t have a date in the US yet either. However, you almost certainly will have to wait until next year as that is usually how American programmes work.
Also according to others, Kevin Bacon is not contracted for a full season so it will probably premiere in US around about the same time it did this year, January/February

Unrelated to anything, really, but just a musing. I was watching last week’s episode of Bones “The Twist in the Plot”, and it sounded to me that Booth was the only one unaflicted by the common American difficulty in pronouncing “Craig” properly as “Craig”, rather than the odd “Cregg”.
I’m so glad Im not the only one to notice this about how Americans pronounce Craig I have to double check in so many shows if they mean Craig or Greg cos that’s how it sounds!!
