UK Air Dates for US & Cult Shows in 2015

Lots and lots of UK premiere dates (and returning shows) for the first half of the year and beyond ! As always, if there’s a US or cult show you’d like to see a UK air date for, just leave it in the comments, and i’ll do my best to find it for you. :)

Shows in this colour are the latest updates! Shows in this colour are returning for part 2 of a season.

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following: 1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meangingless collection of letters that has to be looked up 2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation 3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

(TBC) = To be confirmed. If a show is listed as (TBC) this means it’s either not an official date from the channel, or is subject to change.

If you can’t find the show you’re after in the list below TRY THE A TO Z LISTINGS

Couple of Notes on Commenting…

If your asking about an air date show, please make sure it isn’t in the list already. Easiest way to do this is to use your browser’s ‘Find’ function (‘Ctrl & F’ on a PC, ‘cmd and F’ on a Mac).

Also, if you’re asking for a returning air date, it really helps me out if you know which channel it’s airing on currently to post that in the comment.

I know a lot of the TV shows, but the more info you can leave me, the easier it is for me to check. :)

I loved watching Switched at Birth on Sky on abc studios. I know that season 5 is irking on abc family in the USA at the end of this month, but wondering if there was a date for us?

  7. anniekay says:

Channel 5 & Spike TV are owned by Viacom so Spike Tv shows can be seen on the web on demand 5

  8. anniekay says:

Hi Guys just seen that the Following (aired on Sky Atlantic originally) is being repeated on Pick Tv from 12th August @ 10pm great for any Virgin viewers like me as we don’t have Sky Atlantic Also Olympus (aired on Spike TV originally) has the whole Season 1 on demand 5 now

  9. AKK says:

    Can you add bbc dramas
Thirteen which airs in Early 2016 on bbc three.
Undercover which airs in 2016 on bbc one

  10. gfunk says:

Why have sky arts not aired season 2 and 3 of Spanish historical period drama Isabel.

    • Lesley says:

I have tried to find the answer to this without success as I really enjoyed S1. Now that Sky Arts has only one channel I’m not holding too much hope that they will show S2 and 3 (especially if they did not do a multi season deal)

    • Velvet says:

White collar season 1 had its UK premiere on the old bravo channel as opposed to sky living

  11. Daryl says:

The Americans will air in the Jordskott slot:

ITV’s Head of Acquired Series Sasha Breslau said: “We’ve only got one slot for new and unmissable, exclusive content, which is the Wednesday night 10pm slot.”

So most likely August 19th. (The repeats of Season 2 should finish on the 18th, if the current pattern holds).

  12. Jasmine says:

Any news on an air date for Significant Mother (starring Nathaniel Buzolic and Josh Zuckerman) in the UK?

  13. AKK says:

  14. Tezza says:

Girlfriends’ guide to divorce has just been acquired by Lifetime UK with a premiere date of Tuesday September 15 at 9pm as announced by TV Wise

  15. gfunk says:

Second half of haven is the last. Season 5 is 2 parts thus no season 6. As syfy only ever seem to make 5 seasons of show I.e. Warehouse 13 eureka lost girl. I read somewhere that this is the case with haven. Just slightly different to others. Under the dome should last for 5 seasons unless its plan was a trilogy only. As can’t see how much further it can go. Another 2 ten part seasons would be preferably.

  16. Greg says:

    Here are some questions that i hope someone can help with;

    1. Are we watching the final seasons’ of Haven (Pt2 in Oct) and Under the Dome? The latter struggling to be worth a 4th season.

    2. My sky planner says the next episode of Person of Interest (CH5 Thurs 10pm) is S3 Ep18 & 19. Now i’ve just watch Ep 15 & 16 so is CH5 dropping S3 Ep17 and if so, why?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

      1. Maybe. Haven hasn’t been renewed for a sixth season yet, and Under the Dome hasn’t been renewed for a fourth. But neither has been cancelled yet, either. It’s too early to tell.

      2. Episode 17 is currently not showing. Impossible to say why. It could be dropped (although that usually only happens if subject-matter coincides unfortunately with current events), or it could just be a data glitch in the transfer from C5 to the platforms.

      • Carole SInclair says:

According to my TV Choice magazine listings, Person of Interest is shown as episodes 17 and 18 on 6th August, and the blurb doesnt tie up with Sky planner . Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

    • anniekay says:

Hi Greg All seasons of Person Of Interest are on Netflix to watch even all of S3

  17. Jools says:

    • Daryl says:

Does anyone know which seasons of US TV shows Sky Atlantic currently hold the rights to which have already been shown in America, but not yet here?

      I know of:

      – Nurse Jackie seasons 6 & 7 (season 6 coming here later this year)
      – Ballers season 1 (coming here in August)

Any others for Sky Atlantic? (To clarify, only seasons which have already been shown in America and not upcoming stuff like Westworld or season 2 of The Leftovers etc)

  52. DW says:

Actually Marvel’s Agent Carter took a long time to come to the UK and it aired in the U.S. Way back in January & February. Really enjoying the show but having it on right in the middle of the summer holidays – isn’t that a risk?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

That’s right. Any investment carries a risk. With foreign acquisitions the main risks are that a) it’ll do well here but not there and be cancelled and b) the opposite.

With Agent Carter I think the viewing figures here are self-evident and they will be very happy with the acquisition.

  53. AKk says:

someone asked Sky Atlantic on twitter when will the second season of the Affair air and they said it is in Autumn.

    • AKk says:

Also someone asked about show me a hero and they said it will air in August.
Nurse Jackie is confirmed for a little later in the year according to someone’s q on twitter.
Ballers wil debut August 20 according to never miss.

      • Daryl says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Show Me A Hero will be on Monday nights here, since it’s taking the True Detective slot on HBO. Which would put the start date as August 17th here.

  54. Katie T says:

Bbc1 Twitter have just confirmed that Bake Off is back on the 5th August at 8pm

@BBCOne: The Great British Bake Off returns on Wednesday 5th August! May the petits-fours be with you, @PaulHollywood. #GBBO

  55. Katie T says:

Radio Times listings on their website have Tut on channel 5 airing in 2 parts on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August at 9pm

  56. SW says:

Why is the UK so slow or not interested on purchasing all the new U.S. Shows? There is still no news of Supergirl, iZombie, Blindspot and Scream Queens / Scream coming to UK screens. Really want these shows to come and be huge success so what’s the hold up?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Well that’s just nonsense. There are plenty of shows that arrive here within days, or even hours of the U.S. Prime examples being Game of Thrones and Walking Dead.

It’s folly to assume that a market of 65 million people will want or be able to buy everything produced for a market of over 300 million people. The US doesn’t get everything produced for the UK market either.

We get a good mix of British productions, US imports and thankfully an increasing number of European imports, all at a very reasonable pace.

The only problems, as ever, are over-inflated senses of entitlement and impatience.

    • Katie T says:

It’s still very early for news on this year’s new shows getting picked up over here. News usually only starts appearing for Autumn’s new shows in August/September at the earliest because all of the new shows start mid September at the earliest in the US. Quite a few pick ups only come once the show’s have started over there because the UK stations take notice of how they rate in the US first or how big the buzz is around them. After all, there’s no point in a UK channel picking up a show if the word about it isn’t good or if it gets bad ratings in the US and is likely to get cancelled quickly.
Izombie is a different matter than the other shows you list though. I’m kind of surprised no one’s picked it up yet. I’d have thought someone like E4 would go for it. Hopefully someone picks it up now that it’s got a second season

    • Daryl says:

New shows aren’t acquired sight unseen. At the earliest, they will be bought at the big international TV fairs where buyers can take a proper look at them.

As far as I know, these fairs haven’t happened yet.

  57. AKk says:

The Frankenstein chronicles is now coming to itv instead of encore in autumn according to itv drama trailer.
Mount pleasant will be on sky1 this autumn according to tvwise.
Agatha Raisin will be on Sky1 this Autumn according to tvwise.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It’s absolutely possible that ITV have decided to show the Frankenstein Chronicles on their main channel instead of the satellite-only Encore (and makes more sense to me), but the advert runs more like a collection of commissions and acquisitions for the ITV company rather than the main channel specifically. We’ll wait for confirmation – it’s still summer after all!

      • AKk says:

According to the tvwise article on Americans season 3, it says it will arrive later this summer. So that could mean August as they only started the daily repeats of season 1 and 2 on Monday. I know Sky Never Miss is an unreliable source, but it says tut will air in August. And tvwise have no schedule airings for tut in July.

Does anyone know if there is a season 2 of humans

    • Andrew Andrew says:

There might be in due course. I understand that it’s being considered but no decision has been made. Of course, with series 1 still not finished, it’s too early.

    • Dave Dave says:

Officially, no not yet, but it’s been Channel 4’s most watched Drama in about 10yrs, so I’d say yes, there will be. The only thing that may screw that up is that it’s a co-production with AMC in the US, but Channel 4 will definitely want a 2nd season.

I have been looking forward to season 2 of “Les Revenants” The Returned for ages. It seems to be taking forever , I hope Channel 4 definitely are going to show it. Any update? thanks.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Me too. The problem is that we get so used to the rigid American way of doing things, namely the same time every year until cancellation. That’s just not how it’s done in Europe. And on top of that, the writing apparently took longer than envisaged. It’s due in France in the autumn and I’m quite sure Channel 4 will show it here.

  77. Kiran says:

Hi I mentioned before that Watch have confirmed over their Twitter page that Secrets And Lies will start on September 9th but the page hasn’t been updated, here is the link again just in case you missed it:

I really hope the Supergirl series won’t be hurt by the pilot leak and it gets great reviews when it comes on air in the autumn. Also hope that it was a big winner in SDCC over the weekend and not hurt by some of the hurtful comments people have been leaving about it over time.

I’d like to request that season 2 of Penn & Teller: Fool Us be added to the ‘Unknowns’ list, please.

It’s currently airing on The CW in America. I asked ITV via Twitter if they had any plans to buy it, but they said not currently.

I’m guessing that if ITV don’t buy it then there’s not much chance of another UK outlet getting it. But, just in case, if someone does buy it I’d love to know since I very much enjoyed the first series.

  94. Sophie says:

Do you know if Peaky Blinders series 2 is on anywhere to watch? I watched series 1 on Netflix and am desperate to watch the rest before the third series ?
