Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that has to be looked up

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

@BBCOne: Sherlock will return in The Six Thatchers on January 1, 2017. #Sherlock

  2. Paul says:

Is there any word of the UK release or air date for season 4 of The Originals yet? I know that season 3 debuted on iTunes before coming to Netflix; will it be the same with season 4?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Still unclear at the moment. I’ve asked Netflix if they are going to be airing it along with the US, and the rep wasn’t sure yet, so hopefully we’ll find out before it airs. If not, it should still be available to buy on Amazon/iTunes etc… as it airs, the same as it was last year.

  3. Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

    ** Announcement **

Those of you that are fans of this page, you might want to take a listen to the podcast this week, as it not only features me as usual, but also – making his debut – is our very own Andrew! So you can actually put a voice to the various comments and replies he leaves on here. 😀

We also have 2 guests this week – Actress Susan Wokoma from E4’s Crazyhead, & Presenter Jamie East who you’ll know from shows such as Thronecast, and his Virgin Radio show. 🙂

Tv wise is saying the final season of the vampire diaries is going to be airing on Tuesday November 8th at midnight. I mean come on I know I should be happy they are even airing the last season on tv but why so late?

    • Sophie says:

They’ve done it before where they have held off showing TVD until the start of November. It’s because it’s a shorter season and because they were probably showing other shows in the slot where they would normally put TVD. Like I said it’s happened before where TVD hasn’t started until November. The main thing is that the show will finally be back on tv in the UK

  5. Annette says:

Hi line of duty code black mysteries of Laura not heard anything about these programmes being aired anytime soon

  8. Pat says:

Any news on when Cordon Series 2?

  9. Beks says:

Any news on the original’s ? And zoo? Cheers!

    • Sophie says:

The Originals isn’t being aired in the U.K. because no channel is picking up the show since Syfy dropped the show. When season 4 starts in 2017 (they pushed the show back because they wanted to show another or new tv shows where they normally put The Originals), it will be shorter than its 22 episode run. Season 3 of The Originals is available on DVD if you’re waiting for that season. Like I said The Originals will be returning in 2017 with season 4

    • edward perkins says:

Season 4 of The Originals will be shown on Netflix UK & Ireland somtime in 2017. Zoo Season 3 will air on Sky 1 in Summer 2017.

  10. danny says:

Digiguide has the Librarians starting Mon 21/11 @ 8pm on Syfy

  15. edward perkins says:

Channel Zero Season 1 starts on Monday 31st October 2016 at 10pm on 5Star.

    Info from TVWISE

  16. Gemma says:

Any idea or inkling when the Goldbergs might return to E4?

  17. Terry Lewis says:

Hi Geektown, that simulcast of the opener of The Walking Dead isn’t showing up on the Sky Planner. Any idea as to why? 🙁

  18. Howard says:

not sure if it would be the kind of program you would put on this site normally but i saw an advert for a new series called mars coming to national geographic on the 13th of November

  19. Paul Wilson says:

sorry if I’ve missed something but it says above that the walking dead premiere will be simulcast but I can’t find it at all on the sky planner,

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

No you haven’t missed anything, it’s not showing up in the the Sky Planner yet. I’ve been back to Fox on this a number of times. It is coming…

Basically, Fox are only simulcasting the premiere, not the entire season, so they are promoting the 9pm air time, as that will be the regular slot. They also didn’t want to add it to the Sky Planner and have people try and series link it, then get all confused when it’s not there next week.

So, if you look at the planner at the moment, there is a suspicious looking random episode of NCIS shoved in at 2.30am on the morning of the 24th, amidst a bunch of Family Guy re-runs. That’s because they were told they had to put something in there, and couldn’t leave it as ‘to be confirmed’. However, towards the end of the week, that’s going to be switched out for The Walking Dead. 🙂

      • Bettiss says:

Has there been any indication whether the episode will appear straight after on catch up/now tv. Sky were doing that for Game of Thrones and was hoping Fox may do the same for the first episode.

      • Paul Wilson says:

Thanks for that Dave , much appreciated

  20. Dormouse says:

Just saw a trailer on Syfy for The Librarians, season 3. Starting in November, it said.

  21. edward perkins says:

Trollied Season 6 starts on Monday 7th November 2016 at 9pm on Sky 1.

I Saw it Advertised on TV while watching WWE Monday Night Raw.

  22. Debbie says:

Yes he is the actor who played tag, he also has played detective Don flack in csi new York and Sam in under the dome. I can’t wait to see him in conviction, i never miss anything with him in, he’s so gorgeous.

  23. Gemma says:

Was watching the new episode of Criminal Minds and advert came on saying that Convinction will start 2nd November. No Time

    • Debbie says:

Hi Gemma, I’ve saw the advert for conviction also, but i read on this forum that the time it starts is at 9.00pm and as you already know on the 2nd of November. I can’t wait to see it, i love Eddie Cahill.

      • Gemma says:

I will just go back to sleep in the corner. Is Eddie Cahill the actor who played Tag, Rachel’s Boyfriend in Friends?

  24. just to say that adverts for ‘Thunderbirds are Go’ have it starting on Saturday 22nd at 3.30 with a double bill on ITV.

  25. Ric says:

Timeless has been picked up by E4 and Channel zero has been picked up by 5star

    Source: TV Wise

  26. Robert says:

Hi there. Great website. Visit it multiple times during the week. Quick question, why is Supergirl starting the same week as Arrow and The Flash over here with Legends of Tomorrow starting the following week whereas in the U.S., Arrow and The Flash both start the week before the other 2. Isn’t that gonna mess up the 4 show crossover they have planned?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

I asked Sky the same thing and they swear it will sync up. I’m guessing there will be a week when Supergirl doesn’t air in the US and it will sync back up.

      • Gemma says:

Probably due to the multiple season breaks American shows have

      • Jack says:

I don’t see how it’ll sync up, unless they do a double bill on Legends as the crossover episode is the 8th episode for all shows and then for Supergirl, Flash, Arrow that’ll be w/c 12 Dec but then Legends will be on it’s 7th Episode :/

        • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Flash, Arrow and Legends are all in the correct spots in relation to each other. Legends started the week after in the US to. The oddity is Supergirl, which aired the week after in the US, so it’s out of place. My guess would be Supergirl misses a week in the US at some point in the first 8 weeks, which we don’t skip, so that syncs things back up.

  27. Annemarie H says:

Does anyone know if BULL is coming to the UK

  28. Abigail says:

Can remember seeing someone asking about the second season of Love Child but cannot find it to reply to.
According to my planned recordings the second season starts on Monday 24th October 2.20am on More4, second episode same time on the 25th and so on.

    • Abigail says:

      Oops I meant 2:10am

    • Howard says:

I was the one asking Abigail thanks so much 🙂 one of my favourite foreign programmes

      • It’s airing nightly – including weekends – and I notice they are carrying straight on into series 3 after 2. Which is great news for fans as I’d assumed the late slot was because it was “ratings challenged” and thought they might not pick up any more (I think I read somewhere that they’d bought the first two series at the outset but hadn’t seen anything about the third).

  29. kate Field says:

Are you sure Braquo Season 4 is to be shown on BBC4 because various internet sites are saying that FOX is airing it on the same date

  30. s says:

jimmy fallon has been on cnbc for years! i know because i watch and it’s always 24 hours after us showing so i don’t get why e! is showing it and how someone in the sun paper said it was the first time it was ever on in the uk when i’ve been watching it on uk tv for at least 5 years or more.

    • MartyM says:

One advantage may be that they will show the full hour long show, rather than the edited half hour that CNBC show?
E! and CNBC are both owned by NBC Universal, so I suspect they can get it in the U.K. for little or no extra cost.

  31. Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Just copying this here as I know people don’t always read the front page:
Universal Channel UK have dropped How To Get Away With Murder

    • Andrew Andrew says:

No way? People ALWAYS read the front page, surely? If not, why not?

The front page is where you’ll find all your breaking TV news and if you’ve got this page bookmarked, you need to have the front page bookmarked too.

  32. Another genre show for the list. You might have mentioned it in the news section a while back I’m not sure but it’s not on the list yet in any case: Hulu’s ten-part series Freakish – which debuted in the US this week – has already been picked up by ITV2 as part of an overall deal they have with something called Awesomeness TV.

And yes the name “Awesomeness TV” as well as this review of Freakish from someone in their mid-20s who thinks they are outside the target demographic suggests I might be a bit too old for this show but I’m still interested in checking it out.

  33. A couple of Aussie series to note. Season 2 of The Code starts on BBC Four next Saturday (22 October). And season 1 of Glitch – which looks like Australia’s version of The Returned and/or In the Flesh is available on Netflix from tomorrow. Season 2 of Glitch is due out in Australia next year.

I’m also still really hoping a UK broadcaster picks up The Kettering Incident (and that Showcase in Australia picks it up for a second series).

  40. Becky says:

I know ITV can be rubbish but is there a reason you keep missing off some of their mini series from the listings?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Hi Becky. Somewhat answered your own question. 😉 But seriously, we don’t alway add every single show, particularly if they are mini-series and are one-off’s without another season. Sometimes they get added on if we think they are worth highlighting, but if you have any you want tracking, mention them here.

      Dave 🙂

      • Becky says:

I have mentioned some and they were not added hence my question; with them not having started I don’t know if they will be any good, but an intriguing one starting next week the 19th about a teenage boy with supernatural powers. It’s called him.

It probably will be most likely the end of October like all of the other DC shows. It’s just some shows just take a little bit longer to announce their dates than others. I’m also waiting for the return of Legends of Tomorrow season 2 as well as The Vampire Diaries season 8 which hasn’t got a date either. It will return. Any information on DC’s Legend’s of Tomorrow? Can’t see on the list when its starting?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

      Hi Mark,

Officially no, but we’re expecting it to land early Nov. It’s in the list under Autumn at the moment, as Sky have yet to release their November info. As you can see in the list, the other DC shows are coming the last week of Oct. We think Legends is going to start a week later, putting it *probably* on the 3rd Nov… but that’s purely guesswork at the moment.

Whenever it is, Sky have promised us they are working closely with DC/WB to make sure all the crossover stuff matches up as it’s supposed to, so don’t worry, it will be there soon. 🙂

      • Mark says:

        Hi Dave,

That’s great, thanks for the reply.

That’s what I was wondering, because of the crossovers as I think last year was a bit out of sync!

  128. All these adverts make it difficult to use this site. Slowly giving up and looking for an alternative

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It’s a similar conundrum to choosing TV channels – do you go with BBC (no adverts, but a licence fee), ITV, Channel 4 etc (no fee, but with adverts) or pay TV (adverts and a fee). It really depends whether people prefer paying for content or having advertisers pay. Everyone has different views.

However, you may find that trying a different browser works better for you. Which browser are you currently using?

    • Matthew F. says:

If you’re are not paying for content of any sorts, then you’ve either paid in another form (licence fee) or you are what is being sold (to advertisers). Nothing is ever free.

  140. Debbie says:

I have tried to email BBC2 but can find no way of doing this on the website home page. Last year they showed seasons 1-3 of A Place to call home which is an Australian drama series. Australia has just started showing season 4 and I would really like to know when BBC2 will show it. It was a huge success and I know quite a few people who are waiting for this. Thanks .

  141. Alex says:

Do you know what time Rebels Season 3 will be airing on Disney XD on 24 September?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Well, it’s on through the day, including at 8pm. However, you’re asking specifically about season 3, aren’t you?

If so, it has changed. It is now due on 1st October and the time hasn’t been published yet.

I’ll make the change in the list.

  142. Paul Dormer says:

Anyone heard anything about Elementary? I see that the last couple of years, it started here about a fortnight after the US and the IMDb gives season 5 first episode showing there 2nd Oct.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Not yet but that puts it about four or five weeks away so we ought to be hearing fairly soon.
I’ve listed it as October though, because that’s most likely

  143. Steven says:

Just got an email from Channel 5 Customer Service about Teen Wolf: “Unfortunately there are no plans to acquire the rights for subsequent series of this programme. We are sorry to disappoint you.” On the other hand, have Region 2 series 3, 4 and 5 on DVD for sale with a release date of 31st October. Channel 5’s loss is Amazon’s gain!

  146. Foxy says:

Have ITV2 confirmed they will be airing the final season of The Vampire Diaries (season 8)?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Nothing confirmed yet, although that’s not unusual… I suspect and hope they will. I know ITV treat the show appallingly, but it really would be a kick in the teeth for fans if they don’t pick up the final season.

    • Sophie says:

I reckon itv2 will show season 8. They just might wait a little bit longer to show the last season considering that season 7 has just finished. We might just have to wait a little bit longer than normal but fingers crossed, we will get season 8.

      • David says:

Worth noting Netflix’s hoovering up of CW shows from a UK point of view recently. If ITV show any signs of dropping the ball they will probably be waiting in the wings.

  147. Brian Green says:

Thunderbirds are go Season 2 coming October 2016

  148. Tracy says:

Does anyone know if shadow hunters, game of thrones and sons of anarchy(prequel) will return or when pls?

  149. Emma says:

    Has scream been cancelled??

    • Andrew Andrew says:

No, as far as I can see it hasn’t. At least not officially. There’s a Halloween special to come and some rumours about a cancellation (isn’t the Internet great for rumours!!) but no official cancellation.

    • Gerhardt Planet says:

      I was mulling this over myself of late & i came to the conclusion it’s a 50/50 tossup;

on the one hand the cast are largely unknown cheaper ‘talent’ which would help mtv in securing a 3rd run, however if sales have been poor which i hear they have been in so far as securing top dollar for an episode then perhaps it being axed would make better business sense?

But this is the MTV which canned the imo excellent eye candy after 10 eps and that too had syndication worldwide so who can pre-empt the thinking of viacom anymore!

  150. edward perkins says:

The factual documentary game show Hunted is back on channel 4 with series 2 from Thursday 22nd September 2016 at 9pm. This time round they win money if they don’t get court by the hunters by the end of the 2nd series.

  154. Michael forster says:

Just in case nobody saw The Shannara Chronicles season 1 on 5star earlier in the year or they would rather watch it in HD which I would recommend, MTV are showing it from the beginning starting from 13th September at 9pm

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Well spotted Michael thank you. This kind of thing – finding HD broadcasts of shows previously only in SD – is extremely useful.

    • Gary says:

It was actually one of the shows that channel 5 put on my5 in HD for download,, always worth a check for the download, up to a week after and you may find the HD varient there.

    • DaveB says:

Worth noting that it is also on Netflix already – so is obviously getting a fair bit of exposure in advance of season 2.

  155. Lynsey says:

Does anyone know if Dancing With The Stars being aired anywhere on UK TV please?

  156. gfunk says:

Just noticed you’ve put up longmire season 5. Why no note of season 4. Lucky I checked my sky who seem to ignore tcm channel on new series. Season 4 starts 10 September 12.30 for all fans of the show. Is there a dislike of tcm??? No note of when calls the heart either.

  157. Katie T says:

Just seen an ad on bbc1 saying the first episode of Cleverman is now available on bbc3

  158. Rob says:

All three seasons of Chosen will be available on My5 from 9pm on 15 September:

    • lorraine says:

I just looked this up and its gps- behind closed doors on at that time has it been delayed.

      • DaveB says:

I think you’ll find by “My5” it means it is going to be available online only and that they plan to release all 3 seasons at once.

A bit like Walter Presents stuff on All4 I guess. An interesting development though I suspect – again like the Walter Presents stuff – it will only be available online & not through Sky etc. Since the repetitiveness of the ads whenever I use Channel 5’s catch-up service is noticeably painful – even when fast forwarding most of the time – if I can’t skip them online it will be a bit of a deal breaker.

  159. Emerson says:

Hello. I came across an YouTube video yesterday showing some scenes and interviews with the cast of the remake of Macgyver. It was a surprise to me. Haven’t heard about it until the.
Just checked your A-Z list for more info and didn’t find anything? Could you search for it please? And also add to the list? Would love to know if it’ll eventually come to the uk. Thank you

  160. Debbie says:

Hi guys, just read on deadline Hollywood that season 5 of Longmire begins on Netflix on September 23rd.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Unfortunately, that doesn’t include the UK. US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand only.

It’s an odd situation where Netflix are paying for the show, but because it’s made by Warner Horizon Television and bought in, some of their pre-existing international contracts still stand. So it airs on TMC in the UK. Should be back in Nov, if they follow their usual pattern.
