UK Air Dates for US & Cult Shows in 2014

[tweetmeme]Lots and lots of UK premiere dates for the Winter 2014 season and beyond! As always, if there's a US or cult show you'd like to see a UK air date for, just leave it in the comments, and i'll do my best to find it for you. :)

Shows in this colour are the latest updates! Shows in this colour are returning for part 2 of a season.

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following: 1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn't, it is just a meangingless collection of letters that has to be looked up 2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so - we can list it as such, pending confirmation 3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

(TBC) = To be confirmed. If a show is listed as (TBC) this means it's either not an official date from the channel, or is subject to change.

Couple of Notes on Commenting…

If your asking about an air date show, please make sure it isn’t in the list already. Easiest way to do this is to use your browser’s ‘Find’ function (‘Ctrl & F’ on a PC, ‘cmd and F’ on a Mac).

Also, if you’re asking for a returning air date, it really helps me out if you know which channel it’s airing on currently to post that in the comment.

I know a lot of the TV shows, but the more info you can leave me, the easier it is for me to check. :)

    • Mark says:

Unfortunately Dan, Ultimate Spider-Man isn’t very good, unlike Young Justice, which I’m starting to believe is never going to air in the UK.

        • Lanie says:

          Thanks for that info :)

Can’t believe they’re waiting till September for The Lying Game. That’s almost six months, and within one season. Weird.

I wonder if they’re moving New Girl to E4. If so, will they run it from the start, or pick up where they left off?

  37. The Kingslayer says:

Has More4 stopped showing The Daily Show with Jon Stewart ?

    • Callum says:

I second this inquiry! It keeps disappearing for frakkin Grand Designs repeats. A major shame seeing as it’s still one of the best shows on TV and More4 continue to treat it like pig sh*t (and not the good kind of pig sh*t).

  38. Mulder says:

Is there any news as to when Californication Season 5 will air on channel 5 or any other channel? I know it has already aired in the US

  39. Talula says:

    Vampire Diaries Season 4? :)

  40. Death_By_SnuSnu says:

Very confused about Sky showing Futurama Season 8. Did they ever even finish season 7? I thought they got up to the Christmas special and just randomly stopped.

    • Callum says:

      Hey, Death_By_SnuSnu.

Futurama’s return is very weird. The first run of the show (before it was cancelled) had 4 production seasons that were split into 5 broadcast seasons. Then there were the movies which are considered their own season on TV (Season 6). Then there was the latest season, Season 7. In America, they split it in half (the Christmas special being that half way point), but didn’t take too long to get to the back half of the season. Here in the UK, though, it’s been about a year since that first half and I think Sky1 are just classing the new episodes (the second half of Season 7) it as Season 8 to make it seem like they haven’t been dicking us over for a year.

Does that help answer your question? I mean that, by the way, I’m not good at explaining things like this.

  41. stacey says:

do you have the air date for vampire diaries ?

  42. Hannah Evans says:

    Very helpful thanks

  45. kyle wray says:

    Hiya

Does anyone know when Hot in Cleveland will be back? You said Sky Living said sometime in May but as usual we are nearing the end of May and there is still no word or advertisements for it?

I’m fearing that it might do a White Collar, Chuck and Army Wives to name a few and never come back which will really suck.

  48. daniel says:

two and a half men will be in autumn

  49. thetvking thetvking says:

CBS have renewed Rules of Engagement for a 7th season. Although they have only picked it up for 13 episodes and it won’t return in the US until mid-season.

  52. Hello:) says:

    • thetvking thetvking says:

New Girl did well on Channel 4 and was the most watched show on 4OD by a long way. E4 said that New Girl will be staying on Channel 4, when it returns.

My guess is it will be November again and if that happens at least we’ll get every week until the finale so theres something really good about it!

What happened to new girl, certainly don’t remember there being 24 episodes aired in uk?

    • thetvking thetvking says:

New Girl is on a mid-season break, Channel 4 have said that it will return this summer and I have read it will be in a new time-slot.

My money is on Friday nights at 9:30, returning on June 8th when VIP ends, but that is a best guess and a bit of a put.

  116. Zoe says:

I know it says May for Revenge, but is there an exact date yet? x

    • thetvking thetvking says:

Revenge will replace One Tree Hill on E4 Mondays at 9PM, the first episode will be 28th May 2012 as the week before 21st May One Tree Hill finishes with a 2 hour special including 12/13: “Anyone Who Had a Heart” and 13/13: “One Tree Hill”

    • Dave Dave says:

It’s premiering on Atlantic, but they’re reshowing it on Sky1 i think. :)

      • Bill says:

It isnt listed for the following week so I am thinking that this is Skys way of giving customers of virgin a taster of what they may be missing in an effort to entice them to swap providers!!!

  119. thetvking thetvking says:

Not surprised about Alcatraz as it has to be totally the most disappointing pile of doodah yet although so full of promise…
News that Touch is to have another season is a surprise though, as it too has been a load of dog’s wotsits

  121. Graham says:

With veep already started and newsroom starting June 24th in the states anyword on when we get either of these?

  122. Ben says:

Also, One Tree Hill finishes with a double bill on the 21st, I wouldn’t be surprised to find Revenge (fantastic show) taking it’s place on the 28th, fits Sky saying May.

  123. Ben says:

Looks like I was both right and wrong about Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23, I was right that it would take Happy Endings’ slot, but I was wrong about it starting on the 17th, thanks to E4 airing the unaired episode 22.

Apartment 23 will start on the 24th May, at 9.30pm (source: digiguide).

According to schedules How I Met Your Mother is now confirmed to continue season 7 on Thursday 17th May at 8.30pm.
Also, now sure if this quite counts as a premier, but seems that we’re getting an episode of Happy Endings before the US. ABC only aired 21 of the 22 produced episodes this season, but E4 have episode 22 (‘The Kickening’) scheduled for 17th May.

  144. FX UK Have Announced That They will Be Showing Series 2 of Falling Skies in July 2012 Confirmed on there facebook page.

  145. thetvking thetvking says:

Netflix UK is doing well for the “forgotten” shows they now have:

The complete series 1-7 of Rescue Me

the first 3 seasons of Dexter

and season 1-3 of Breaking Bad, let’s hope this continues

  146. Liam Halls says:

    Hi,

Has any1 got any news if any UK network will be picking up Person of Interest?

Also does anyone know when the following series return: Republic of Doyle on Alibi, Being Erica the final season, The listener on FX. All are great series and usually they have come back by now, although E4 usually have some shows lined up for the summer months which sucks because people usually don’t watch much tv in the summer due to holidays.

    • Andrew says:

Person of interest is perhaps the greatest oddity of 2012- the fact that it has not been bought in the uk yet. Perhaps the uk channels are now waiting to see whether or not it gets renewed next month. It would look good in the Terra Nova shaped hole on sky1′s schedule but I suspect they won’t want another expensive single-year programme so soon.

Fingers crossed for it either being broadcast here later this year or getting a DVD release by Christmas. Not another white collar please!

      • Danny says:

Could not agree more. If you look at what other networks have picked up that are already cancelled/probably will be. Sky1 – Terra Nova, Living – Ringer+Unforgettable, Watch – Alcatraz, Atlantic – taking a punt on Awake. E4 even picked up Charlies Angels for christs sake! And possibly the biggest head scratching point – it got renewed for a second season in March!

        • thetvking thetvking says:

E4 does make some strange decisions with their program selections but like the deal Channel 4 did with Twentieth Century Fox they got a job lot of shows before any of them had aired and some sunk Allen Gregory and some Swum Homeland, New Girl

        • Danny says:

Person of Interest i mean, not Charlies Angels. oops!

  147. gfunk says:

any news on burn notice on fx

    • Liam Halls says:

Burn Notice usually airs in September/October time which sucks because the US are two seasons in front of us.

But thats UK television networks for you.

      • Andrew says:

We will get series 5 in the autumn. The Americans will get series 6 in the summer. We are one year behind.

  148. CastorTroy81 says:

    Hi,
Any news on Young Justice airing over here? I’m assuming it’ll be on Cartoon Network

  149. ??? says:

Before last night’s Ringer. Living said it was the last one ever. Is this confirmed yet??

    • Jamie says:

      I thought the same thing.

But, I do not think The CW would tell Sky Living before they make their announcements. Sky Living would find out the same time as everybody else.

      • Andrew says:

It is not confirmed yet. However it is widely considered to be extremely unlikely for ringer to return, so sky living may have just made an educated guess.

  150. Thushi says:

Does anyone know if or when the lying game will return to channel 5?

  151. Amyjane says:

just like to sat cw announced today that supernatural season 8 vampire diaries season 4 and 90210 have all been picked up go to blog.cwtv.com

    • Andrew says:

Good news for Supernatural and those other two programmes which don’t interest me. However yesterday’s announcement by the CW does not look promising at all for Ringer or Nikita.

  152. The CW Network Have Announced 3 of There Biggest Shows Have Been Renewed They are The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and 90210 Found This on Digitalspy.co.uk.

    Hi

    • Oli Miller says:

Think the Sky Living website said it was taking a break for 2 weeks (presumably we’ve caught up with the States) & I think it should be back on May 11th

  177. thetvking thetvking says:

Sons Of Anarchy season 5 is due to start on FX in the USA, at the end of September. For the UK the best guess would be early next year. January/February based on when we got season 4. Unless 5USA can pull some strings and get it shown over here closer to the US air date. At any rate we won’t see it before this Autumn/Winter.

  178. Kevin Hall says:

I know that Sons of Anarchy has just finished season 4 here in the UK, have you any idea when series 5 will be airing over here?

    Many Thanks

  179. stacey says:

is there going to be a secret circle season 2?? and a mighty johnsons season 2?

    • spiggle says:

We’ll find out on the 19th May if there is a secret circle season 2 as that is when the network bigwigs in the US make their decisions.

The almighy Johnsons has got a 2nd season and its running atm in New Zealand.

      I hope that helps

  180. Chrissy says:

Does anyone know when how I met your mother season 7 part 2 starts, it says on here that it’s 26th at 9pm but I’ve checked sky and it’s not even scheduled to be on at that time its a completely different program on, or has it changed channel?

    • Dave Dave says:

Sorry Chrissy, i forgot to update the Calendar. It’s correct (for now anyway!) in the listing. HIMYM *should* be back 17th of May. The return date moved as E4 stopped it for a few weeks. That’s still TBC, but hopefully they won’t move it again! :)
