Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that has to be looked up

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

    Vampire Diaries Season 4? 🙂

  49. Death_By_SnuSnu says:

Very confused about Sky showing Futurama Season 8. Did they ever even finish season 7? I thought they got up to the Christmas special and just randomly stopped.

    • Callum says:

      Hey, Death_By_SnuSnu.

Futurama’s return is very weird. The first run of the show (before it was cancelled) had 4 production seasons that were split into 5 broadcast seasons. Then there were the movies which are considered their own season on TV (Season 6). Then there was the latest season, Season 7. In America, they split it in half (the Christmas special being that half way point), but didn’t take too long to get to the back half of the season. Here in the UK, though, it’s been about a year since that first half and I think Sky1 are just classing the new episodes (the second half of Season 7) it as Season 8 to make it seem like they haven’t been dicking us over for a year.

Does that help answer your question? I mean that, by the way, I’m not good at explaining things like this.

heya im looking for a uk air sate of pretty little liars season three cheers sam x

    • Dan815 says:

Hey Sam, I e-mailed MTV a few days ago to ask if they were going to air Season 3 around the time it starts in the US which is only 3 weeks away or if they might hold it until November time like last year so that it can air without a mid season breaks like the US always have halfway through but havent heard back yet. My guess is it will be November again and if that happens at least we’ll get every week until the finale so theres something really good about it!

  95. mia says:

    • thetvking thetvking says:

New Girl is on a mid-season break, Channel 4 have said that it will return this summer and I have read it will be in a new time-slot.

My money is on Friday nights at 9:30, returning on June 8th when VIP ends, but that is a best guess and a bit of a put.

  125. Zoe says:

I know it says May for Revenge, but is there an exact date yet? x

    • thetvking thetvking says:

Revenge will replace One Tree Hill on E4 Mondays at 9PM, the first episode will be 28th May 2012 as the week before 21st May One Tree Hill finishes with a 2 hour special including 12/13: “Anyone Who Had a Heart” and 13/13: “One Tree Hill”

It’s premiering on Atlantic, but they’re reshowing it on Sky1 i think. 🙂

      • Bill says:

It isnt listed for the following week so I am thinking that this is Skys way of giving customers of virgin a taster of what they may be missing in an effort to entice them to swap providers!!!

  132. Ben says:

Looks like I was both right and wrong about Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23, I was right that it would take Happy Endings’ slot, but I was wrong about it starting on the 17th, thanks to E4 airing the unaired episode 22.

Apartment 23 will start on the 24th May, at 9.30pm (source: digiguide).

  153. FX UK Have Announced That They will Be Showing Series 2 of Falling Skies in July 2012 Confirmed on there facebook page.

  154. thetvking thetvking says:

Netflix UK is doing well for the “forgotten” shows they now have:

The complete series 1-7 of Rescue Me

the first 3 seasons of Dexter

and season 1-3 of Breaking Bad, let’s hope this continues

  155. Liam Halls says:

    Hi,

Has any1 got any news if any UK network will be picking up Person of Interest?

Also does anyone know when the following series return: Republic of Doyle on Alibi, Being Erica the final season, The listener on FX. All are great series and usually they have come back by now, although E4 usually have some shows lined up for the summer months which sucks because people usually don’t watch much tv in the summer due to holidays.

    • Andrew says:

Person of interest is perhaps the greatest oddity of 2012- the fact that it has not been bought in the uk yet. Perhaps the uk channels are now waiting to see whether or not it gets renewed next month. It would look good in the Terra Nova shaped hole on sky1’s schedule but I suspect they won’t want another expensive single-year programme so soon.

Fingers crossed for it either being broadcast here later this year or getting a DVD release by Christmas. Not another white collar please!

      • Danny says:

Could not agree more. If you look at what other networks have picked up that are already cancelled/probably will be. Sky1 – Terra Nova, Living – Ringer+Unforgettable, Watch – Alcatraz, Atlantic – taking a punt on Awake. E4 even picked up Charlies Angels for christs sake! And possibly the biggest head scratching point – it got renewed for a second season in March!

        • thetvking thetvking says:

E4 does make some strange decisions with their program selections but like the deal Channel 4 did with Twentieth Century Fox they got a job lot of shows before any of them had aired and some sunk Allen Gregory and some Swum Homeland, New Girl

        • Danny says:

Person of Interest i mean, not Charlies Angels. oops!

  156. gfunk says:

any news on burn notice on fx

    • Liam Halls says:

Burn Notice usually airs in September/October time which sucks because the US are two seasons in front of us.

But thats UK television networks for you.

      • Andrew says:

We will get series 5 in the autumn. The Americans will get series 6 in the summer. We are one year behind.

  157. CastorTroy81 says:

    Hi,
Any news on Young Justice airing over here? I’m assuming it’ll be on Cartoon Network

  158. ??? says:

Before last night’s Ringer. Living said it was the last one ever. Is this confirmed yet??

    • Jamie says:

      I thought the same thing.

But, I do not think The CW would tell Sky Living before they make their announcements. Sky Living would find out the same time as everybody else.

      • Andrew says:

It is not confirmed yet. However it is widely considered to be extremely unlikely for ringer to return, so sky living may have just made an educated guess.

  159. Thushi says:

Does anyone know if or when the lying game will return to channel 5?

  160. Amyjane says:

just like to sat cw announced today that supernatural season 8 vampire diaries season 4 and 90210 have all been picked up go to blog.cwtv.com

  186. thetvking thetvking says:

Sons Of Anarchy season 5 is due to start on FX in the USA, at the end of September. For the UK the best guess would be early next year. January/February based on when we got season 4. Unless 5USA can pull some strings and get it shown over here closer to the US air date. At any rate we won’t see it before this Autumn/Winter.

  187. Kevin Hall says:

I know that Sons of Anarchy has just finished season 4 here in the UK, have you any idea when series 5 will be airing over here?

    Many Thanks

Sorry Chrissy, i forgot to update the Calendar. It’s correct (for now anyway!) in the listing. HIMYM *should* be back 17th of May. The return date moved as E4 stopped it for a few weeks. That’s still TBC, but hopefully they won’t move it again! 🙂

Now that FX are going to show True Blood a bit quicker is there any chance they’ll do the same for Dexter ?

Also anyone know if 5USA is going to have an HD channel soon ? I hate having to watch Justified and Sons in standard definition.

      Robert

Sons Of Anarchy season 5 is due to start on FX in the USA, at the end of September. For the UK the best guess would be early next year. January/February based on when we got season 4. Unless 5USA can pull some strings and get it shown over here closer to the US air date. At any rate we won’t see it before this Autumn/Winter.
