Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that have to be looked up.

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

Please can you start adding the Good Witch TV show to the list. It airs on Hallmark in the US and Netflix UK has up to season 5 currently. Season 7 airs in the US this month, I believe. Amazon Prime UK now has a paid-for “addon” Hallmark channel but there is no sign of any Good Witch on there (not even the related movies). It’s anyone’s guess when or where S6 will land but I’d say that Netflix is probably likely.

Jay

So seeing that Dynasty has only just started in the U.S and is running for 22 episodes if The CW doesn’t have a mid season break Dynasty will finish in November so will hopefully be on Netflix by Christmas but if they have a mid we break who knows. Also June should be when the last season of Black lightning starts fingers crossed.

RAMSAY

Hi Dave,

Where can I watch You’re The Worst, from season 3 onwards, in the UK? I’ve googled it but can’t seem to find where it may be streaming.

Cheers

Mare of Easttown is currently airing

Jon Wolf

three episodes of Mare of Easttown have already aired

Gemma

Prodigal Son Season 2 starting date 2nd June, I saw the advert on Sky

Gavin Scott

Is there anything to confirm this? Like on social media as I can’t seem to find anything.

kieran

i’m guessing that date is now wrong if they want it to air at 9pm since Seal Team now doesn’t finish until June 2nd

Dave Elliott

Yeah, they are running ads for Prodigal Son on 2nd June, but that may change with them having to push back SEAL Team. I’m just trying to get some confirmation.

Dave Elliott

Just had it confirmed. The ad is now wrong. It’ll be 9th June not the 2nd for Prodigal Son due to SEAL Team moving back a week.

Gavin Scott

Nonetheless, great to have a confirmed date for the new season!

Jon Wolf

The advert for The Nevers says all episode available on May 17.

Jon Wolf

That’s not what the TV advert showed. It shows all episodes of The Nevers coming May 17.

Dave Elliott

Yeah, it’s not all episodes. It’s all episodes that have been aired on HBO, which is the first 6 episodes.

Warren Boyne

Why is SVU taking so long to premier in the UK on Sky Witness?

Big Sky has officially renewed Season 2 by ABC

Richard O

Is there a glitch in the system at the moment with the Sky Witness section on Sky’s catch-up On Demand service? In the end I recorded the Sky Replay airings of last Friday night’s new episodes of Chicago Med, Fire and P.D. (the end credits weren’t squashed up and spoken over, like when you watch the shows through Sky’s catch-up service, which I was happy about).

When I went to download the latest episodes, I got a message on the screen saying “Press the red button to upgrade your package and watch Chicago Med/Fire/P.D.”. Something similar has happened twice before this season. Bear in mind, I’ve downloaded the shows in standard definition.

Jon Wolf

I’m now downloading Chicago Med from Sky Catch-Up and it’s working perfectly.

Would it not make more sense to set series links for these shows? This way you already have them recorded in HD. No need to download. As for the end credits, they are are complete with no being squashed or someone speaking over them. I do find it annoying to have the credits interrupted and made unreadable.

Simon

I always do that. The series link ensures I never miss an episode but always download it as well. A hangover from when it was available in UHD. Also ‘ Med’ being on at 8pm before the watershed is usually edited- but the download isn’t. It was very noticeable on last year’s three part crossover about the necrotising virus

Richard O

I have been downloading the Chicago shows since last season (before that I was downloading Chicago Fire on Sky catch-up), which included the uncut version of the three-part crossover event. It was just odd that it wasn’t working last Friday night.

I noticed that I was able to download last Sunday’s two episodes of Hudson & Rex on the Alibi section of Sky’s catch up though.

i’ve noticed sky one are showing season 4 episode 13 of seal team on Wednesday at 9 but it doesn’t air in the US until Wednesday. i’m guessing it’s going to be a repeat of a previous episode but it is still in my scheduled recordings

Dave Elliott

That’s interesting… Just checked the main Sky listings, and you are correct. It’s still listing it as S4 E13 on Weds 5th May on Sky One, same day as it airs on CBS in the US… So either we’ll get it first, or it’ll be replaced by a repeat and updated last min. You would think they would have noticed that by now though.

Andrew Ward

Sky are always getting episode numbers wrong tbh! So record it incase it is a new episode.

Dave Elliott

I have pointed this anomaly out to the press team, so we’ll see if the schedule now changes, but it’s still the same at the moment. What’s odd in this case is that it isn’t Sky getting the eps number wrong as such… Eps 13 is the next episode to air, it’s just we seem to have caught up to the USA, so it’s whether they are allowed to air it or have to wait a week.

Paul Dormer

Looks like they’ve removed it. Now showing Rob & Romesh.

Dave Elliott

Yep, just to confirm, they’ve bumped it by a week. It is now:

12/05 S4 ep 13
19/05 S4 ep 14

any news on when bull series 5 comes to fox and is the comedy roseanne or the conners coming to the uk at all like on sky comedy or comedy channel

Jaco Moss

Season 5 of Bull should be summer 2021. Roseanne seems unlikely to air in the UK because of the lead actress and Im guessing that is why spin-off The Conners has not been picked up but if it did than I can see Star being the UK home of The Conners.

rizzlers5

ty jaco stranger things have happened with tv viewing so i do agree that maybe rosanne may not air but i do hold hope for the connors as i loved watching rosanne b4 the ill fated big mouth comment from her spoilt the whole show hence her sacking and the new show imo she deserved wat she got imo

Just to let anyone know who watches Grown’ish on Disney+ Star, Season 3 started today.

kieran

i’m guessing there’s still nothing on young sheldon season 4

Dave Elliott

Nope, still not appeared yet.

Ellie

Any news on FBI (& Most Wanted), 911 (& Lone Star), or the Resident (although I guess that’s a longer shot, as the most recent season aired so late).

Thank you!

Dave Elliott

Nothing on any of those yet. They weren’t in the May highlights either, so that probably puts them in June at the earliest.

Mark

Do we have any news on the Arrowverse shows yet?

Dave Elliott

Nope, “Summer” is the only update I’m getting at the moment.

Dave Elliott

Update this morning. The 3 existing shows (Flash, Legends, Supergirl) are returning in June 2021. No news on Superman & Lois though.

Mark

Brilliant, thanks Dave. Do we know if Sky One have purchased that?

Dave Elliott

No, they haven’t – “Still no news on Superman & Lois” as of today. That doesn’t mean they won’t, or they could be already negotiating for it. Just don’t know either way right now. They wouldn’t be able to tell me anything until a deal is fully signed as it gets the press team in trouble with the acquisitions team, so all I can say for sure is, as of this moment, they don’t have it.

Frances

Is there any news when netflix will show the last season of Black lightning?

Dave Elliott

Officially, no. But they drop it as a box set now, so after it ends in the US. Assuming there are no more breaks, it should finish over there at the end of May. There is usually a few weeks between it ending there and coming to Netflix here, so possibly June/July, but there’s no official announcement yet.

Jaco Moss

Genius: Aretha will receive its UK Premiere on Disney + on Friday June 4th it has been announced.

Jon

Why is Sky showing Grey’s Anatomy before Station 19? S19 is supposed to be before GA. As it is now, you have to wait a week to catch up to the correct order. It also means the upcoming crossover is split by a week.

Last edited 10 days ago by Jon Wolf
Dave Elliott

Yes, it’s annoying they’ve split it that way, but it is in the correct order in terms of the episodes following each other.

Jayne

I always watch S19 prior to GA – as the USA airs it (I watch on Now TV so can choose the order) but this week the S19 should have followed GA – without wanting to give any spoilers away. Now I’m confused as to what the right order should be as in previous weeks S19 then Greys was correct. Unless I have missed one somewhere and got myself out of order?
?

Dave Elliott

So, the episodes this week were:

GA – eps 5
S19 – eps 5 – begins a crossover

Next week (5th May) is:

GA – eps 6 – concludes the S19 – eps 5 crossover
S19 – eps 6 – begins a crossover

Following week (12th May):

GA – eps 7 – concludes the S19 – eps 6 crossover
S19 – eps 7

So, in the US, they air S19 first then GA on the same night. Here they are GA first then S19 on the same night.

However, S19 started a week before GA in the UK, so the order is correct. It just means the crossovers don’t happen on the same night, but are split over 2 weeks.

In the US, it was:

(Dec 17, 2020):
S19 – eps 5 – begins a crossover
GA – eps 6 – concludes the S19 – eps 5 crossover

(March 11, 2021):
S19 – eps 6 – begins a crossover
GA – eps 7 – concludes the S19 – eps 6 crossover

(March 18, 2021):
S19 – eps 7
GA – eps 8

Exactly the same order in the US, but over there the crossovers were on the same night. Not sure why Sky decided to split them differently, but they are in the same order as the USA.

So, next week (5th May), you need to watch GA eps 6 first for the conclusion to the crossover from S19 eps 5, then S19 eps 6 for the start of the next crossover. That concludes 12th May – GA eps 7 (so again on 12th May, GA first, then S19).

Hope that makes sense! 🙂

Hi does anyone know if season 3 of Berlin Station available to watch in the UK.

Martin Elliot

It doesn’t appear More4 picked it up.

Jan

Thanks

David

It is in streaming stores for purchaes if that helps.

Gavin Scott

Hi Dave
Sorry to bring this up again, as I have a feeling you’ve already answered it earlier.
New Amsterdam season 3, is this an Amazon Prime exclusive or does Sky also have the rights for first run?

What’s been posted is mentioned as Amazon Prime, but I’m just simply confused considered seasons 1-2 were added to Sky recently.
Has there been any kind of confirmation either way?
As I’ve emailed Sky viewer relations, but they didn’t confirm either way.

Must apologise for the long winded message!
Thanks
Gavin

Dave Elliott

Officially, no, nothing has been confirmed either way. However, the fact Sky aren’t confirming whether they have S3 makes me think the premiere is still with Amazon (although it’s like getting blood out of a stone getting Amazon to confirm things before they’re ready, so they haven’t confirmed either).

My thinking is that Sky would be happy to say at this point if they bought Season 3, as it would have been part of the deal to pick up Seasons 1 and 2.

As for Amazon, they usually drop it in 2 parts as a boxset. However, due to COVID, I believe this season is only 13 eps, therefore, they are likely to wait for the whole thing to air in the US before airing it here. If that is correct, it should drop on Amazon UK around June, but that is not confirmed.

Gavin Scott

Thanks for the quick reply.

Pretty much what I’m thinking also. What I had assumed and probably wrongly is that when Sky got seasons 1-2 they were going to get the rights for the 3rd season, especially that they are both Comcast owned commodities.

All things certainly seem to point that season 3 will be on Amazon Prime.
Not that being on Prime is an issue, nor with Sky/NOW, it is just annoying that we don’t know what it’ll be shown on first. It’s clearly going to be either one, which one and when.

Howard

Anyone who can access rte 2 might like to know 4th season of handmaid’s tale is back next Thursday at half 10

RAMSAY

I’ve just finished watching the second series of the excellent Happy Valley, somewhat belatedly. Does anyone know if there’s a third series in the works? It’s been a while but there’s clearly a lot more story to tell.

rizzlers5

i love happy valley too it has been renewed for a 3rd series but as of yet no news of taping it

Dave Elliott

Yes, apparently there is a plan for a 3rd Season, although, there is an interesting reason for the delay… Creator Sally Wainwright wants the next part of the story to deal with Ryan as a teen, but actor Rhys Connah isn’t quite old enough yet, so they’re waiting for him to age up a bit more. So it is coming, but could be a few more years off yet.

In the meantime, Sally Wainwright has just been commissioned to write a new series for Disney+ called The Ballad of Renegade Nell https://www.geektown.co.uk/2021/04/15/disney-orders-3-new-uk-scripted-originals-from-producers-of-gentleman-jack-killing-eve-the-night-manager/ 🙂
