Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that have to be looked up.

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

Anybody have any update on how Conviction stands? Series 1 episode 12 was shown last week, but no sign of episode 13 this week. I know that Conviction has been the subject of much conjecture if it would even reach a second series. So, is it on a mid season break, or if has reached the finale of Season 1, will it be coming back for Season 2? Any info much appreciated.

Could you ever possibly do a list of films premiering on tv?

    0
    • Andrew Andrew says:

In theory, yes we could. But premiering where? Pay TV ? Premium movie channels? Regular terrestrial? As ever if there’s sufficient demand we could look into it, but logistically it’s less likely to work.

So over to you- what say you, dear readers?

      0
      • Josh says:

It would probably just be main channels (the BBCs, ITVs, C4, C5, Sky Movies) because they’re normally the ones that have network premieres for films. It would be great to see what films are coming!

  39. Shane says:

Is the 26th January correct for Scandal? That’s the US air date so if it’s correct, it will air here before the US?

    0
    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

As of right now, according to Sky that is correct. It may change tomorrow which is when the dates for that week should, (in theory) lock.

      0
      • Shane says:

Ah I see, thanks. I did a little more reading and ABC pushed back Scandal 1 week due to some bloke moving into his new house or something, I assume Sky will just do the same hopefully.

how can supergirl and flash be on a tuesday week after each other at 8

    0
    • Sophie says:

It’s not going to be on at the same time. If you click on the page for Supergirl, you will be a TBC sign and it means that the show hasn’t been 100% confirmed yet so it will be changed considering that Supergirl has been shown to be on at the same time as The Flash. It will probably be changed to a different day considering that Supergirl is normally on a Monday.

      0
    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Okay, as of right now, it seems Supergirl and Flash will be airing Tues, from the 31st Jan at 8 & 9pm. Legends & Arrow will be on Thursdays from the 2nd Feb at 8 & 9pm. Seems there maybe an interesting new acquisition coming in Weds (just waiting to confirm…)

Here’s a little note for those of you who only visit this page… you know who you are (and so do we… Analytics innit !!)…. There’s a brand spanking new episode of Geektown Radio available now. Give it a listen. Put it on in the car, the tube, the bus, the hovercraft, whatever you use to get around. It’s really good. (Just skip the episodes with me waffling).

    It’s season 3 we’re waiting on in 2017 🙂

do you know if Nashville season 5 is coming to the uk

    0
    • Andrew Andrew says:

There’s no confirmation on that right now. If it does return to Sky Living, it could be in the summer like season 4

      0
    • Sandra Logan says:

as far as ive read. Nashville was cancelled and season 5 was picked up by CMT which Sky doesnt have

      0
      • Andrew Andrew says:

CMT is just one of all the American channels that Sky (the British satellite platform) doesn’t have. US channels generally aren’t available here and the channel a show is on there usually doesn’t have any bearing on who might (or might not) buy it for the UK market (except perhaps specific deals such as HBO/Sky Atlantic)

Has there been any rumblings on the following shows being picked up in the UK:-

The Hulu Mini Series Adaptation of The Handmaids Tale which has Mad Men’s Elizabeth Moss in the lead role of Offred. It is also staring Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls, Joseph Fiennes (American Horror Story), Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) Max Minghella (The Mindy Project), Ann Dowd (The Leftovers), Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black) and Madeline Brewer (Hemlock Grove).

NBC’s Sitcom/Comedy Superstore starring Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera. This is now on its 2nd Season in the States

ABC’s Comedy Speachless starring Minnie Driver and John Ross Bowie from Big Bang Theory.

    Thanks in advance

    • Andrew Andrew says:

There’s no apparent UK purchase yet for either Speechless or Superstore. As for Handmaid’s Tale, it doesn’t come to the US until April so it’s still early

      0
      • Gemma says:

Probably with regards to Superstore, the UK broadcasters may wait to see if it gets picked up for a third season. E4 seems to be doing that with their comedy acquisitions.

I’ll keep checking back as you usually have your finger on the pulse for these things. 🙂

Usually airs in the UK on E4 around June, so there’s a bit of a wait. We can’t provide places to watch online, as we don’t want to encourage illegal streaming sites.

Any sign of a UK channel acquiring the US series Dead of Summer?

    0
  78. Richard O says:

Normally at the start of the year, CBS Reality premiere the most recently completed season of US news documentary series 48 Hours. However, the episode shown at 12 noon today (Tuesday) was a repeat of an episode from the season before. Does anyone know if CBS Reality are going to show Season 28 of the show?

Also, apparently (based on their Facebook page) the second season of Chicago Med will resume on Universal Channel UK in February. Hopefully Law & Order: SVU’s current 18th season will resume at the same time.

I wish Sky Living’s license to show Chicago Fire would expire, so another channel could pick it up and hopefully start showing Season 5 earlier. The same applies to 5USA’s license to show Season 4 of Chicago P.D.
