Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that have to be looked up.

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

Hi, one series that a number of people have been asking about on this board is VIKINGS Season 4, part 2. You previously listed Season 4 part 1 in your list when it was on the History channel, giving us its first ‘linear’ showing on TV. I would therefore be grateful if you could list part 2 – starting on TUESDAY 9th JANUARY 2018 at 9pm on HISTORY UK – as it will help me not to forget the date! Thanks.

Thanks Russ. It was actually listed on the Vikings page but not on the list, as the linear and premiere dates both connect to the same page. I couldn’t update it until November had finished as we were using it to show the November Season 5 premiere date on Amazon (if that makes sense!) It’s updated now. 🙂

Season 3 of gotham is on netflix uk.

      0
      • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Yeah. The situation is this – Channel 5 do have the rights to Season 3, but for reasons I can’t get into, are having trouble airing it. So it may still show up at some point, but it’s looking doubtful. It’s also highly unlikely they will buy Season 4.

Netflix already had a deal in place to air Gotham around 12 months after the US. So Season 3 is on Netflix, and season 4 should turn up Aug/Sept 2018. As to whether any other “normal” broadcaster will buy Season 4, that seems unlikely, unless they can get some deal for seasons 1 to 3. I suspect the most likely possibility is Netflix, at some point, adding Gotham earlier, as they already have the previous seasons.

Yeah… we’re wondering that too, but getting info from the BBC is like getting blood from a stone. They usually only announce shows 2 weeks before airing. Looks .ike the curse of Channel 5 has struck again on NCIS New Orleans. After waiting ages for it, it’s finally back on 5 but with a flexible time slot it seems. Last week it was 7:45, this week it’s 10pm? Add to that, th3 fact that it’s being “ double billed” like 5 walnuts to get it out the way, I’m wondering if we’ll see a season 4?

    0
    • Simon says:

Sorry about the typos .. for “ walnuts” it should say “wants”. I blame my keyboard

      0
      • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

😀 excellent typo! I would expect to see less and less of those big 20+ episode US seasons coming to 5, as I really don’t think they work well for them. So, yes, I wouldn’t count on season 4 coming to 5 (I don’t know anything, that is just a guess.) If that does happen, it’s possible someone else like Universal or one of the other channels that runs some of the NCIS things may take it though.

I know it’s highly unlikely but is there anything out there about CW’s ‘Valor’ getting a run over here? It might not be the best of shows (although it has a very pretty cast) but it’s hugely popular on Instagram, haha.

Also, is there really no news on a Will & Grace pick up? I thought for sure that would get a UK broadcaster?

    Thanks 🙂

    0
    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Well, Valor did show up on November’s Netflix list, then didn’t appear on the system when they said it would, so not sure what happened. One possibility is that, now it’s looking likely for cancellation, they changed their minds, or they’re waiting for it to end to put it on in one go… Or it was a mistake on the list.

I’m also surprised we haven’t heard about a Will & Grace pick up yet. I think it will come, but it’s likely to be the new year now I would have thought.

Does anyone know what happened with Private Eyes season 2 on Universal? It got given 18 episode series with episode 9 airing last night but now there series isn’t on next week? Did something happen?

    0
    • Brian says:

Private Eyes season 2 only aired 9 episodes in its home country of Canada too. I don’t know if they are doing a split season or just changed their mind and those other 9 episodes are now next summer’s season 3, but that’s all that’s aired so far.

      0
      • MartyM says:

According to IMDB the remaining 9 episodes are likely to air in the summer of 2018, although they still refer to it as Season 2. The good news is that a third season of 12 episodes has already been ordered.

Hi, can someone answer my potentially naive question. I own season 1-12 of supernatural via iTunes. I am concerned season 13 is airing in the US and you can buy it in the US store, should I not be able to pre order by now? Is this normal because I’m worried I won’t be able to own it on my devices via iTunes (example I own the strain seasons 1-3 and season 4 was never released in the UK).

    Thank you.

    0
    • Glam King says:

The UK will have to wait until January 2018 for Supernatural to come to iTunes as it will be airing on E4 as they have a catch up with the episodes, as they didn’t want a 4-week break from Christmas or the Superbowl or the World Series which are all American sporting events and by showing the entire series.

At the moment E4 will show the comedies first with The Goldbergs, The Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls, and Brooklyn Nine Nine as they’re all making impact on iTunes in the U.K.

I’d just seen Lee Ingelby, Christopher Eccleston, and Morven Christie in the trailer, as the first series was a great success. If it is confirmed for the 7th of November 2017, TVWise will be the first to know as with Our Girl finishing on Halloween night, The A Word will be the following week in the steadily confirmation in next weeks TV Times and other TV listings at the end of the page.

When you see C5 have bought a program you might as well expect it to never get shown, its as if they are buying them so no other channel can show them, by the time its shown in 2018 it will be 18 months since it was premiered in the U.S.A. I still have a crossover episode from NCIS still to watch thanks to C5

      1+
      • Glam King says:

C5 have delayed NCIS New Orleans Series 3 yet again, due to their schedule has now been dominated by documentaries and movie premieres and football highlights, it’s promising they would have to put it in a prime-time 8pm slot, the certain date is now going to be in November, otherwise it will be 5USA showing it after the series 4 of NCIS LA ends on the Monday night in 5 weeks time, same now happening with CSI Cyber Season 2 and Gotham Season 3, which has just finished in the U.S. and now on Netflix and retail.

However C5 may still have the rights to the 14th series of NCIS when it comes to showing it in January 2018 and at the moment New Orleans, the third NCIS spinoff is a bit delayed through their schedule and as with Celebrity Big Brother returning in the same month and they still keep a low profile to their 8pm slot, otherwise it’ll will be a double NCIS in January at 7pm on Saturday evenings, at the moment they only seem to show repeats during the daytime.

    0
    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Hard to say as it’s a new show for them… They aren’t running straight into it, we know that, but they’ve not put anything other than repeats in the 10pm Thursday night slot either. It’s not appeared on the press preview package from Sky for November, but that was mainly focused on new shows, so that might not mean anything. So it could be they’re waiting to take out some of the US scheduling gaps. Or it could be they’ll hold it till next year. We’ll post something as soon as we have it.

          That’s incredibly irritating.
