The Swedish and Italian imports, are they genuine? And if so is English the main language on them?

  2. @¬*~# says:

go on [link removed – please do not post links to illegal streaming sites] and you can watch every ep a day after it comes out also lots of other stuff on their aswell e.g Game of thrones…….

  3. Michelle wating says:

Gutted that this has been dropped, me and my kids love this show. what’s not fair is not everybody has netflix no i have to tell my children that we can’t watch it anymore. Very disappointed

  4. Rachel says:

Is the region 1 dvd the only option in watching this or is there a way to buy it elsewhere that iant itunes?

  5. paul says:

i bought once upon a time series 3 on dvd and i’ve watched it is really good look forward to series 4 :)

  6. Becky A says:

I’ve seen on Amazon UK that they have Season 3 on DVD region 2 box set!!!!!!!! :D
…………..Only thing is that it says on the page that it’s ‘not available yet’.
But at least that means that Amazon will be selling the DVD that can be played in the UK.
I’m gonna keep checking to see when it is available……..

  7. sophie tapping says:

Are they joking? First Sky Living drops Supernatural and now 5 have dropped Once upon a Time I’m fuming right now, fingers crossed someone picks them both up :(

  8. lauren says:

I bought season 3 of ebay months ago from a ln American seller and it works in all dvd players – £15, free delivery.

  9. Arabella says:

I bought the season 3 DVD region 1 (if your DVD player was bought from 2006+ it will work) for £10 on ebay (UK seller)! Can not believe I’ll have to wait until this time next year for season 4!

    • Fiona Quinn says:

Are you sure this will work on all DVD players? I really want to get season 3 but the region free are way more expensive then region 1. I think I will have to check the settings or find the booklet out for my DVD player to see if you are right Arabella.

  10. Firebrand Jones says:

amazon are now selling seasons 1-3 region 2 boxset for £100. What. The. Hell.

Smooth move, guys. Release an overpriced set but not the individual series? You’re not making any friends here in Europe…

  11. Lance Timberlake says:

I’ve got to buy a new multi region DVD player and import season 3 and replace my Blu Ray seasons one and two on DVD now so the collection goes. I can’t risk importing the Blu Ray as it’s pricey and wont play on my Blu Ray player. I use to own a Multi region DVD player but is packed up. My American DVD’s don’t play on my Blu Ray so still be nice to enjoy them on the big screen again. I hate all this region codes it’s not fair.

  12. lesley says:

season 3 available on youtube in parts. not as good quality image but still watchable.

  13. Lis says:

Amazon keep emailing me about series 3 being available on Blu-Ray. When you look in the descriptions, it says it’s region 2 but it’s just so expensive! As much as I love this show I might try to hold out a while to see if the price drops.

  14. Ash says:

When will once upon a time series 3 be released on a region 2 code ?! Amazon have released it on a region 1 why not a region 2 ?

  15. Rachel says:

I have bought the Blu Ray from Amazon.com USA and it is region free. If you look on this link and scroll down to the cover you can view the ‘slipback’ and this shows you the rear of the sleeve of the blu ray and it shows ABC. It works on my region 2 player.

  16. Anne says:

20th oct come and gone ..no Amazon region 2 ,ebay only region 1 but think it may work .I have a tv /dvd combo which is new and Toshiba ,so prob region 2?but would a 1 play on it ..so frustrating ..love this show !

  17. Hannah says:

It’s now the 20th and no where seems to have it at all which is disappointing :(
Is it true that if you have a DVD player that was made after 2006, you can play the region one version? How can you tell with your DVD player when it was made. I got mine in 2007 as a gift but I dont know when it was made to find out :(

  18. caroline jones says:

    Hi there
I’m am a fan of Once Upon a Time and am absolutely gutted that its not being showed in the UK. I haven’t got netflix ( and don’t wan’t a account either as i can’t afford it) where else can i find season four to watch as I was looking forward to the mysteries and Adventures of Storybrooke.

    Yours sincerely

    Miss C Jones

  19. jai says:

Am furious that out of the hundreds of channels not one has picked up ouat….i need to watch season 3 n now it looks like you can’t even get it on R2 dvd. I don’t understand why? Surely if a programme is shown in UK, a dvd should be produced! judging by comments on here and many other message boards many people watched it and want to watch the next season. I personally have got 4 others addicted to it and we’re all waiting for this damn dvd to make an appearance. If only there was some sort of announcement made so we knew what was happening? !?! :(

    • Andrew Andrew says:

The broadcasters who buy broadcast rights are different companies from the distributors who release DVDs, and the deals for each are relatively unrelated. Unfortunately, I’m afraid you know what is happening. Nothing. No plans. It’s Region 1 or the slightly more compatible Region 4 only.

  20. karen rathbone says:

Absolutly devastated no season3 once upon a time on CH.5. They must be mad!it is so popular!,

  21. Rachel says:

Like Sarah below, I also took a risk and ordered the Blu Ray off Amazon.com (I’m in the UK), and I can also confirm that it is region free. It has A/B/C listed on the case and plays fine on my LG player.

  22. Becky says:

Can I get season 3 on netfix then? I am so mad with channel 5 channeling it

  23. Rebeka and sasha says:

We have already seen season 3 but we really love this show and want to see season 4 instead of season 3. Season 3 was showed earlier this year so we vote for this show the to be continued on channel 5 please!!!!

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Season three wasn’t showed earlier this year I’m afraid, and cannot be continued by Channel 5, as it has already been dropped. You can, however, get it on Region 1 dvd.

    • Dave Dave says:

The sad fact is, it’s not popular enough for 5 to be able to justify the cost of the show verses the viewing figures, which is a real shame. But in reality 5 can’t really be expected to air a show they’re losing money on every week. As people have mentioned, your best bet is ordering the bluray from the US, or using a dns switcher like the one mentioned above to watch it on US Netflix.

  24. Jim V says:

Heard 5 wasn’t picking up new season so unless someone else does, we’re on our own (I’m looking for dvd)

  25. Becky says:

Hello when is season 3 on in the uk please? does anybody know?

  26. Sarah says:

I have just bought blu ray direct from amazon.com (US ) as got fed up with waiting for UK release . It is published as region 1 but is in fact region free . All plays perfectly and cost around £30 including delivery from USA . Now on episode 7 .

  27. Em says:

It looks like Amazon have got region 1 DVD in stock now. but are used and from different suppliers

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Once-Upon-Time-Season-US-Import/dp/B00MCSKMVK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411372761&sr=8-1&keywords=once+upon+a+time+season+3

Also does anyone know if playstation 2’s are region free for DVD?

  28. Jane (Southampton - Uk) says:

I gave up waiting and bought (nervously) from dvdbus…using an credit card that was near it’s limit in trepidation that this was a possibly dodgy site …. But was pleasantly surprised. The DVDs arrived – they looked great …. They played fine in my ten year old DVD player …. And on my laptop which is pretty temperamental !!
For £20 I am now up to date …. First five episodes are a little rubbish ….. But it gets better !!!!
Best £20 I ever spent …. Now it’s doing the rounds and all my friends are taking it in turns to watch!

Now bring on series four !!!!!

  29. MrsRumple says:

Strange that Amazon only have the blu-ray and it’s region free rather than region 1. Is it still being aired in Ireland?

  30. Rachel says:

Season 3 blu-ray is listed on this website – http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/ with a UK release date of 20th October.

    • Jade says:

Thank you for sharing that :-) It was written on here before, that release date of 20th October, but then they took it down. I am hoping so hard that they actually do release it soon, but they wouldn’t have even said a release date if not I don’t think. And I’m glad they’ll be (hopefully) releasing it on bluray because I want the exclusive features like deleted scenes etc!! :D

  31. Jenny says:

S3 is yet to become available for preorder on amazon. Is it confirmed that there will definitely be a region 2 DVD released on 20 October? It seems that other things that aren’t out until a much later date are already available for preorder, which makes me wonder whether we’ll be able to see the show at all in the UK.

  32. Michele says:

I have just finished watching Once Upon a Time season 3 on Netflix (US). It was uploaded on 28th August, and season 4 is airing on US tv later this month. I imagine that season 4 will be on Netflix at the end of August next year so everyone can catch up with it if the series is renewed (hope that makes sense).
I’m gutted channel 5 didn’t pick up series 3 and surprised another channel hasn’t done so either. Hopefully Netflix (UK) will one day show it. Hope this helps.

  33. Jennifer says:

Please can you tell me where I will be able to buy the Once upon a time season 3 in the uk?

  34. Stephen Smith says:

watching this series half way through and now i find its no longer available thanks Amazon

  35. melanie says:

Hi what channel is it coming on please just so I no I missed season 3 I had to catch it on demand thanks

  36. cara says:

Gutted! I’ve only just started watching this and now I find the UK have stopped it :-( I’m on series 2 on amazon instant video (formerly love film) anyone know if series 3 will be added to it?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

The availability of season 3 as a second window on amazon is unlikely to be affected by channel 5 dropping the broadcast first window, so if they were going to add season 3, they probably still will

  37. luke says:

I heard about this about 3months ago when I realized that channel 5 didn’t air season 3 I am gutted that it has been took off air for the UK and can’t another company take it on? :/ :( I love Disney and the twisted and tales are awesome so where can I pre order or order when it come out? X

  38. Charlottei says:

So it’s coming out October ? Where can I get it on pre order ?

  39. shane says:

WT does this mean its going straight to DVD over here without being aired. NOT ON. :(

  40. lara says:

Do you know where OUAT season 3 will be available to purchase? I can’t see it on Amazon (to pre-order). Thank you.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It isn’t available to (pre) order yet. The Blu ray is showing as available from that date.

    • aaron says:

I have sent emails to all sites that sell dvds and none of them have managed to help out, I’m off to London mcm comic con in October were they have people all over the world one of them is bound to no I hope

    • Spike says:

Once upon a time 3 comes out on August 19th on region 1 , most uk DVD players play them these days , only problem is import duty if customs collars you , ( hopefully I’ll have mine this weekend) cinema store in London more often than not have them a couple of weeks early although price is a tad steep

      • aaron says:

On ebay they are selling brand.new copys quite cheep iv payed 13 pounds for my copy it is a region 1 dvd I emailed a man and I was told it should work on any UK dvd play that has been bought after 2006

  41. Alex says:

    Hi!

So hopefully it will be on sale in the autumn!! I was thinking about buying in in the us and buying a cheap US DVD player. It is absolutely ridiculous that we cannot see the show. I have managed to see 5 episodes on one site but now I can’t watch anymore as they want to charge me! I feel like writing a strongly worded email to channel 5!

  42. ben says:

once upon a time season 3 will be available on dvd/blu ray on the 20th October. at least we can get it on dvd/blu ray. so its good news.

  43. sharon says:

I want to watch season 3 in the uk

  44. samantha says:

When is season four coming on

  45. carly says:

[link removed – sorry on linking to illegal streaming sites allowed]
iv mamaged to watch up to ep 17 on this site… having trouble with buffering with ep 17 bit annoying but the others seem ok ish ..hey beter than nothing

  46. aaron says:

I’m a massive fan of once upon a time, completely gutted when season 3 was dropped from channel 5 in the UK, I do hope season 3 will appear on dvd along with the other seasons to come, magic comes with a price

  47. Clare Storer says:

When is once upon a time season 3 available on DVD in the UK?

    • Melanie says:

Blue ray and dvd release for once upon a time season 3 will be released on August 19th but not sure if this in the USA only and might come to us about October.

      • Andrew Andrew says:

That’s region 1 which includes the USA, but isn’t the USA only. That’s about the same time as Region 1 releases for seasons 1 and 2, which came to Region 2 in October and November.

  48. Louise says:

I am seriously annoyed with channel 5 for dropping this show I absolutely loved it!!!! It was the one show that brought fairy tales back and brought us a bit of hope and belief I have had to watch the third season online which is highly annoying as most websites would get rid of it because of copyright or something or I would have to wait literally ALL DAY!! for it to buffer, can anyone pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease tell me if and when there will be a UK DVD RELEASE!!!!

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Probably. No date yet. In the meantime, there’s still Grimm.

      • Louise says:

But I don’t watch Grimm I watch once upon a time until it got cancelled leaving us uk fans hanging about where to watch it and where to buy it

        • Andrew Andrew says:

Dont worry. It hasn’t been cancelled, it is still being made. It’s just the UK broadcast that was dropped. You’ll be able to get the DVD when it comes out. Previous seasons have been released in late Autumn

  49. Philippa says:

Hi I’m thinking of buying off dvdbus but my DVD player only plays region 2 – has anyone bought from them and they only have a region 2 DVD player and does it play ?

  50. louise mcgregor says:

bring back once upon a time its the best season yet. i have to watch it online because it has been drop from channel 5. there’s no point in showing the first 2 season and not showing the rest.

  51. Jen Mcallister says:

I’m actually annoyed to here channel 5 has dropped once upon a time. Me and my children really loved hoe this fairytale and was also much excited to see the follow on and watch this right to the end. Channel 5 always seems to show things but never finishes off a whole series. My opinion is…never start something if your not willing to finish off showing the outcome of things. I find this very sad for the children and adults viewers too, as watching thing like this as a family only brought out the imagination and fun. What i do know is that my 6 children thoroughly enjoyed once upon a time and now it’s been taken away because of pricing! Imagination brings out the best in children and it’s only fair to them,to be able to for fill this by watching the whole episode that due to be released. Once upon a time is brilliant, bring everything they have together like, so white, prince charming, hook, red riding hood, the dwarf etc and it’s only fair to the country that we all get to see the ending of it. Thanks and hoping to know the outcome, as I know my children will be upset if they don’t find out what happens next in storybook and to be totally honest…so will I! Things like this brings out the best in ones child hood and i also think things like this is beneficial to everyone’s imagination…especially children. Jen

  52. Deborah says:

Further to my post a couple of weeks ago, the DVD from http://www.dvdbus.co.uk came today. They dispatched it on 11th June and it arrived today (one week and one day later). I have watched about 5 episodes and it plays perfectly. It’s in English and plays on my perfectly (on my English DVD player). The DVD cost £22 (although on my statement it said £23 but this is because of the currency differences or something). The customer services lady was brilliant and I can honestly say it was a good decision to risk buying from a China website. I fully recommend it!

    • Barbara says:

Hi – glad to know you’ve received your copy ok… mine was dispatched on 18th June but not arrived yet! was beginning to think site was dodgy as email to customer services bounced back!! Will just have to be a bit more patient.

  53. lisa says:

I have just bought the once upon a time season 3 box set from dvd bus. It plays on my dvd player which is not a multi regional player as far as I know. Just in case anyone else is desperately trying to get hold of it…

  54. ben mcaloon says:

does anyone know how some shows in the uk when they get dropped by there uk broadcaster still get released on dvd but some don’t can someone please help?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

DVDs are not released by the broadcaster so what happens with them is unrelated to broadcasts

    • Deborah says:

I mentioned in a couple of posts on this forum that I bought the full Series 3 DVD from a website called dvdbus.co.uk. It’s a Chinese website and I was dubious but thought I would take a chance. I emailed the customer services and a lady got right back to me to answer my questions. I bought the DVD for £22 (no shipping costs) and it arrived with me 8 days later after I got the “item dispatched” email. It said on it that it plays worldwide and when I played it, the quality was excellent. The sound is good and the quality is good. I was expecting possibly a fuzzy recording etc but it plays perfectly and I honestly recommend it completely! I’ve been desperate to watch the next series and this DVD does a great job.

  55. Jo says:

Series 3 is available as a series download from Amazon.com.

  56. Bob says:

Hi Andrew, do you know for definite if we will be able to watch a Once a upon A Time season three at some point during this year, whether on DVD or online, or not?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Definite, no. I think so, based on the DVD releases of the previous seasons. However, with no broadcaster lined up, it strikes me as unlikely the DVD would be withheld. I would expect it late Autumn.

The region 1 disc is due in August so if you have a multi-region player, then yes you will definitely be able to watch it this year.

  57. Cormack80 says:

Be careful with DVdbus. I did a search online and found that the site is risky. It was set up less than 90 days ago and there’s no reviews on it. I also thought it was a but sus that they have very little information and the series on the page and there’s no other websites selling series 3 yet.

  58. Deborah says:

I don’t know if anyone has noticed but on Sky TV Box Sets, Once Upon A Time Seasons 1-2 are there via the ABC Chanel. I’m hoping that later in the year now that Season 3 has finished in America, it will be added to it.

  59. li says:

Deborah, how well does the dvd work? how is the quality? if you could let me know please as really want to see season 3 and no-one knows if it will come to the uk or not

    • Deborah says:

Hi li, I will let you know when I receive and play it. The DVD is on it’s way to me. It should take 7-9 business days (today is 11 June) and they emailed today to say that it has been sent, so when it comes I will let you know how it plays and leave a post so that if it plays well, other people can also feel comfortable to buy it. When I used the website’s customer service email, the lady that responded was great. She responded quickly to my email query and was very helpful and courteous but we will see how well the DVD actually plays! Let’s cross our fingers that it’s a good DVD and not a rubbish copy recorded from the internet or something as I’m desperate to see Series 3!

    • Deborah says:

It came 8 days after the dispatch email and plays perfectly! I’m so happy. I’ve watched 5 episodes so far and the DVD is great. I fully recommend getting it from this site.

      • Andrew Andrew says:

Is there any indication on the packaging as to Region or country of origin. At the bottom, besides any American address, there’s usually the local distributor with an Australian address, or British etc. Another clue is what language / subtitle option there are. Thanks.

        • Deborah says:

It’s from China but the box says abc studios. It plays perfectly in English. There were 6 DVDs in the box and I’m on No. 4 now and they have all played perfectly. They are clear, visually perfect. I’m so happy I took the chance and bought them.

        • Deborah says:

The subtitles are either English or Chinese. I play the DVDs with the subtitles off. I couldn’t see a local distributor though…

  60. Deborah says:

I have just bought the DVD (series 3) from the website: dvdbus.co.uk. I will see how it plays then leave another post. It was £22.99 with no delivery charge (that I was charged at payment). Someone below said they ship from China so I don’t know if I will get charged a shipping fee at a later date or not. Hope the DVD plays properly! Website is:
    http://Www.dvdbus.co.uk

  61. ben mcaloon says:

ive just spoken to amazon and they said the only way the could release future dvds is that it depends on their suppliers.

  62. collette says:

Does anybody know wether season 3 will be released on dvd in the uk or not and if it is when it will be available to buy

  63. ben mcaloon says:

ive emailed a few channels to try and get them to buy the rights but they say they will pass it on to there program department or make excuses.

  64. Craig Sumner says:

Bought season 3 from a company called DVDbus.co.uk. They ship in the DVD’s from china but it works just fine.

    • collette says:

hey when you brought it did you have to wait for it to be released and did you have to pay shipping costs

    • Isobel Mathews says:

Does the DVDbus website copy work? And how long was delivery? It definitely isn’t a pre-order?

    • Hannah Noy says:

Hi Craig, just wondering how long did it take for the DVD to be delivered because I’m thinking about buying the DVD :)

  65. richard says:

totally unfair that UK viewers are now deprived of the best show on the planet . We cant even watch on line

  66. Robert garrity says:

Please tell me when uk premier is going to be

  67. Rhiannon says:

Just spoke to Netflix through live chat and have suggested ‘once upon a time’ – not sure I will make any difference but if lots of people suggest it something might happen.

  68. Leanne says:

I think it’s awful they cut once upon a time best series I’ve ever watched really enjoyed it think channel 5 has done wrong

  69. ben mcaloon says:

does anyone know if it will get a dvd release with no uk broadcaster?

  70. Sarah says:

This really sucks, I was really looking forward to watching series 3 on Channel 5. It’s unfair for us UK viewers because there’s nowhere to watch it online and now we have to wait until it comes out on DVD/Netflix. Also, there’s a tonne of spoilers on the internet as well, so we more or less have to stay away from anything Once Upon a Time related until we actually get the chance to finally see series 3.

  71. shane says:

This sucks, whats channel 5 playing at. How are us fans surpose to watch the new season.

  72. Usha Kailla says:

Is it possible if u can email me when series 3 comes out on dvd, thanks. (Once upon a time)

  73. Hannah says:

Hi, just wondering is once upon a time ever coming back to the uk? I really like this show it’s one of my favroutie shows. I was really looking forward to season 3.

  74. kirsty says:

When is once upon a time season 3 coming out on dvd in the UK ?? Email me please

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Season 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, but 1 and 2 have appeared late Autumn. We don’t send out personalised emails but please feel free to bookmark the Airdates page and visit often

  75. danielle says:

Please bring it back to the UK both me and my daughter both love this programme

  76. Lesa Gilpin says:

Please bring it back, my kids are gutted! We loved the first 2 series’s and what a cliffhanger we were left on!!!!!

  77. Please bring back once upon a time it was the best show on tv…So please please bring it back ASAP! We all miss once upon a time please show it again! Best tv show ever!!!!? ? ?

  78. Michelle says:

So disappointed that my Sunday night escapism has been taken away!

  79. Anna says:

Apparently the sci-if now channel are going to air once upon a time this season 2014 can’t wait.

  80. stuart smith says:

Why has once upon a time be dropped after leaving season 2 last like that and not following it through please bring it back

  81. Helen says:

Typical channel 5!!….did the same thing with xena: warrior princess, cancelled the show after series 4! Had to get someone to record series 5 and 6 from sky. Won’t be tuning in to anything channel 5 show from now on!….screw you channel 5!! :O

    • Andrew Andrew says:

In fairness, channel 5 hasn’t cancelled this programme. It is still running, and when it eventually does get cancelled, it’ll be by ABC

    • Faye says:

Ye Xena, which thankfully I have all the DVDs to rewatch and The Tribe, basicly Channel 5 airs great programs as a cheaper Sifi channel and then when it thinks the ratings are too low, because it has moved the timing of the show around too much or some other reason then they drop it, to be replaced by what something more mainstream…we have other channels for mainstream we want awsome!

  82. Stephanie says:

We love once upon a time and I’ve started a petition to try and get it back but I would need every ONCER to sign the petition so can you please help me out and sign it and tell your friends thank you!!

    http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/bring-once-upon-a-time-back-on-in-the-uk

    • Andrew Andrew says:

I would suggest a couple of things: firstly, the petition seems to be aimed at Channel 5 who have already confirmed they’ve dropped it. If it comes back to the UK, I suspect it’s far more likely to be via Netflix or Amazon and it would make sense for the petition to be aimed more in that direction.

Secondly, the point about the cliffhanger isn’t likely to carry weight, as season 3 will probably end on one too. And 4. And 5. And…. Etc if further seasons are made

  83. Mhairi says:

I recently emailed channel five about the cancellation and this is what they replied so there is some hope that another channel may pick up the rights to the programme:Date: 1st April 2014

    Dear Mhairi

Thank you for your recent e-mail. We apologise for the delay in responding.

Unfortunately, we have reluctantly decided not to acquire the broadcast rights to Series 3 of Once Upon A Time because the previous series did not perform as well as we had hoped. There are no plans to reverse this decision but your comments and interest in the programme have been logged for the attention of all relevant personnel.

Thank you for your interest in Channel 5.

    Yours sincerely

  84. Claire says:

I have just finished the first 2 series on Sky On Demand. It was under abc Studios HD so it may be aired on that channel at some point. Worth looking into.

  85. Sadie says:

When if ever will there be any news of this show being picked up by another network, me and my mum love this programme and our internet does not work so great at the moment.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

The most likely is going to be Amazon or Netflix, neither of which will be great options for you if you’re having internet troubles. For you, the best option will probably be the DVD.

  86. Molly says:

I sure hope a different channel decides to air it. But in the meantime I will be catching up over the Internet and will buy it on dvd as soon as it comes out.

  87. Leighanne says:

is there any news on it being take up by another channel?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

No, not yet. I think the best bet will be Netflix or the artist formerly known as Lovefilm. The latter currently has the first two seasons and even if Channel 5 had season 3, it wouldn’t have started yet.

  88. Claire McIlroy says:

Does anyone know if RTE or TV3 in Ireland is getting it this year as we can get some RTE channels on sky

    • Andrew Andrew says:

I’m sorry but I don’t have any information on availability outside the UK. If one of these channels had the first two seasons, then the situation with Channel 5 is unlikely to have any bearing on the separate rights agreed.

  89. Antonio says:

Once upon a time was a good family show, absolutely disappointed with how broadcasters treat viewers.
I had been recording it sky HD box since season 1 and the whole family enjoyed watching it.
Channel 5 always treats viewers with contempt, in future I will not follow any of their shows.
    Why

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It usually aired several months after the US, and its lower than desired viewership on Channel 5 has almost certainly a lot to do with the type of impatient people who want to have all the US content “now” as if we lived in the US. So, blame for its demise should be directed at those who didn’t watch it on television, rather than the channel who paid good money to bring it here in the first place.

      • Si says:

        that’s a load of rubbish!

They combat region jumpers in New Zealand by airing close to American and UK airing date/time (Homeland was within 4 hours) negating the need for people to hunt it down online. people will generally gravitate to whatever is easiest for them. Why would people wait? most people live now in a international online community, they want to discuss things as they happen. Most people wouldn’t wait 6 month to listen to a album? If half the world is listening to it now.

TV channels need to evolve with there audience.

  90. A says:

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!!! My brother and I were realy poorly when younger so we missed most of the fairtale magic and this show brought that part f childhoos back. My parents loved it too. Come on bring it back!!!!!!!

  91. MrsRumple says:

Don’t think the UK will ever get it. It’s too far behind thanks to C5. I only hope the DVDs get a UK release for all future seasons, unlike many shows that have been dropped here.

  92. Vee says:

AND WHAT SUCKS IS GOING ON TWITTER AND TUMBLR AND SEEING ALL THE NEWS AND LATEST STILLS. DAMMIT.

  93. benji says:

I watched once upon a time every Sunday. I was so excited every time it came on. always counted down the days till Sunday. season 3 seems the best so far so am very disappointed. Thank you very much channel 5.

  94. MrsRumple says:

Channel 5 are a joke. A load of us are trying to get #returnoncemagictouk trending on March 7th.

  95. janina says:

My daughter is autistic and this series has brought her out of her shell so thanks channel 5 for taking her enjoyment away

    • Andrew Andrew says:

If channel 5 had bought it, it probably wouldn’t be on yet anyway. It was April usually. If it doesn’t re-appear on another channel or Netflix or Lovefilm in the meantime, you’ll be able to get it on DVD later in the year, and not be restricted to one episode per week!
And we should know in the next couple of months whether or not it will get a fourth season (which could influence any further UK acquisitions).

  96. tracey says:

I’m really upset that season 3 has been cancelled, my son and I sat down every Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Don’t worry, it hasn’t been cancelled. It is still being made. It’s just been dropped by its UK broadcaster due to insufficient viewing figures. You’ll be able to get it on disc in due course.

  97. Mini D says:

(Edit: Mini you know perfectly well we don’t allow this so why try to break the rules). never fails to show all of the shows inc OUAT a day later than the USA…check it out

  98. natalie says:

I am gutted that no UK channel has bought the 3rd season yet. it was a good show with plot twists, and different to all the vampire shows- which I like too!
come on someone buy it for April showing..

  99. claire says:

I was just checking in Google to find out exactly when once upon a time, series three is starting in UK….to discover it won’t be??Absolutely Gutted!!Myself and my children gathered together every week to watch series one and two and LOVED them and are itching to watch series three, well this is one disappointed family…

    • Alice says:

      Hi Claire,

I too am gutted – but u did see when I was a subscriber to Lovefilm that they had the first 2 seasons so hopefully they will eventually get the 3rd

    • chels says:

what!! why is it not comin bk ?? but it ended on cliff hanger! it mite be coming soon after it is show in the the other parts or contry if not I am moving lol

    • alison says:

I am gutted to be reading that channel 5 has dropped once upon a time. my whole family have been eagerly awaitng its return. come on sky atlantic bring it back for us all.

  100. claire says:

I was justchecking in Google to find out exactly when once upon a time, series three is starting in UK….to discover it won’t be??Absolutely Gutted!!Myself and my children gathered together every week to watch series one and two and LOVED them and are itching to watch series three, well this is one disappointed family…

  101. ? says:

So sad channel 5 is not showing season 3 really disappointed we were all looking forward to it! :(

  102. brian peadon says:

really upset channel 5 not renewing once upon a time season 3 not fair very upset as i do not have sky or virgin viewing figures were good for once upon a time channel 5 run out of money???????? shame on them

  103. Vics says:

I just wanted to check when it was due to start, only to find channel 5 have dropped it. So angry, pi##ed off and gutted!! The best programme for such a long the way it has been writen is amazing. I think it should be given awards not dropped by channel who clearly cant see brilliant programming disgusted. It was only once upon a time and wentworth i watched on 5 dont think ill bother at all. Not happy!!!!!

  104. Rebecca Hindle says:

I too am horrified sent emails I tweet them they ignore me and I can see them tweeting online as soon as I go on my timeline they just ignore you I comment on there twitter feeds too angry. We might not get a DVD. You can watch on a free streaming site I use.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It’s highly unlikely there will be no DVD. You must remember that it wouldn’t have aired until about April, so you wouldn’t have been watching it yet anyway.

  105. Beth says:

Very disappointed in Channel Five, I really hope another channel buys it soon (Sky Atlantic maybe?) If not, I’ll have to buy it myself and set up my own channel. I’m desperate to know what becomes of Storybrooke!

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Channel 5 is a business, after all. I’d be surprised if Sky Atlantic buys it. Netflix or Lovefilm might do, in due course, or there’s always the DVD.

  106. jim says:

Can I still get once upon a time season 3 on dvd because its bid drop on chanle 5

    • Andrew Andrew says:

You will be able to get it on DVD but it won’t be released earlier just because one country (the UK) is without a broadcaster. It should be available in the summer.

      • jim says:

Will the dvd cum in the uk or will I have to order it from some where else

        • Andrew Andrew says:

Er…? It will certainly be available on region 1 (US and Canada) and probably region 2 (Europe). If it still has no UK broadcaster by then, it might not get a UK release, so you can order region 1 if you want it sooner, or order it from Germany for example if you need region 2.

    • Clair Nock says:

OMG!!!!!! I cannot believe i cannot watch the next season!!! This is outragious…after watching both the other seasons we dont get to see how it goes in neverland?? Im horrified.

      • Andrew Andrew says:

You’ll be able to watch it on DVD. It could well make an appearance on one of the legal streaming services too, and bear in mind you wouldn’t have seen it before April on 5 anyway. So at this moment, you aren’t missing out in anything.

  107. Hannah says:

Is there no chance for once upon a time season 3 to be shown in the uk ????

  108. Julie says:

Disgusted with channel 5 after hearing they have dropped once upon a time. A once boring channel was becoming exciting with programmes like once upon a time , under the dome and wentworth. It looks like they are reverting to being (in my opinion) a useless channel that no one will watch again

  109. stephanie says:

I am furious to find out that Channel 5 have decided to drop Once upon a time and leaving it on a cliffhanger that is just unacceptable I am going to write to them to complain plus I don’t have the money to watch it on netflicks or iTunes so that is just annoying for people like me not being able to watch the next season.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It was ABC that produced the cliffhanger, rather than Channel 5. But we’d be very interested to hear the response, should you indeed contact them.

    • Izzy says:

I’m from the uk and hate this too but I have found a few websites you can watch season 3 for free on they aren’t too hard to find so have a look round those! Season 3 in my opinion is the best so far! It’s only been set in neverland for the 1st half but the second is to be set in Oz!!! Really good so try it guys I found a site in a few mins that gave me a way to watch the whole series for free!

    • 05jhill says:

There’s always a way to watch them. I’ve been watching season 3 online using [no links to illegal streaming sites here- you’ve contributed to this programme no longer being broadcast in the UK]
I usually watch each episode a day after it’s aired in the USA.

  110. Kirsty Neville says:

I was just wondering if once upon a time will be coming back on tv in the uk cause i really enjoy watching it

  111. Kirsty Mcdermott says:

I want to no when once upon a time will bw on it the uk I been waiting for a long time

  112. Warren says:

Will someone else take the rights for Once Upon A Time now that Channel 5 has dropped it?! I hope someone does! Because it’s not fair to leave Season 2 on such a cliffhanger then not air Season 3 -.-

  113. Why do we have to wait until April for season 3 when it’s already out in USA.

  114. Ceri says:

    Any dates for

Once apon a time & the following)?
So excited for these to come back!!!

  115. jeani says:

When will once upon a time be aired in Scotland .

    • jeani says:

      I mean season 3

    • Andrew Andrew says:

At the same time as all the other parts of the United Kingdom, namely April. It isn’t confirmed that Channel 5 has secured the UK broadcast rights yet, but the first two series appeared in April.

It is rare, especially with imports, that broadcasts will occur at different times in different parts of the same country. When rights are obtained for a country, they apply to the whole country. Obviously rights for other separate countries have to be negotiated, bought and paid for separately.

  116. brian peadon says:

can you write to stars once upon a time america

  117. brian peadon says:

will miss onceupon a time season 2 last one sunday 8th september please hope channel 5 shows season 3 oo14 next year love the show like emma

  118. lynsey says:

    Hi there,

I would just like to know when is Once upon a time season 3 going to air in the UK, I’ve been looking all over the internet with no straight answer.

    • Dave Dave says:

      Hi Lynsey,

Blimey, you’re eager! ;) Season 3 doesn’t air in the US till the Autumn, and we’ve not even finished season 2 in the UK yet, so not soon!

Given the last 2 seasons started in April, i’d suspect April 2014 is most likely!

      Cheers,
      Dave

  119. Beverly Poole says:

The family enjoyed the series until they started adding people that are not in the fables. The only reason we keep watching is to
see how it ends. To have invested so much time, would like to see the good finish. I read somewhere they expect to see Star wars
    cractures in the series.

  120. Emily says:

Thanks so much the dates checked today to see if my programmes once upon a time and touch where on and I’m glad I did thanks so much cuz i would have missed touch tonight

  121. Chaz says:

  125. Once upon a time season 1 was great bit upset they didn’t release season 2 the same time as USA.

  126. kirsty says:
