  1. Please bring back once upon a time it was the best show on tv…So please please bring it back ASAP! We all miss once upon a time please show it again! Best tv show ever!!!!? ? ?

  2. Michelle says:

So disappointed that my Sunday night escapism has been taken away!

  3. Anna says:

Apparently the sci-if now channel are going to air once upon a time this season 2014 can’t wait.

  4. stuart smith says:

Why has once upon a time be dropped after leaving season 2 last like that and not following it through please bring it back

  5. Helen says:

Typical channel 5!!….did the same thing with xena: warrior princess, cancelled the show after series 4! Had to get someone to record series 5 and 6 from sky. Won’t be tuning in to anything channel 5 show from now on!….screw you channel 5!! :O

    • Andrew Andrew says:

In fairness, channel 5 hasn’t cancelled this programme. It is still running, and when it eventually does get cancelled, it’ll be by ABC

    • Faye says:

Ye Xena, which thankfully I have all the DVDs to rewatch and The Tribe, basicly Channel 5 airs great programs as a cheaper Sifi channel and then when it thinks the ratings are too low, because it has moved the timing of the show around too much or some other reason then they drop it, to be replaced by what something more mainstream…we have other channels for mainstream we want awsome!

  6. Stephanie says:

We love once upon a time and I’ve started a petition to try and get it back but I would need every ONCER to sign the petition so can you please help me out and sign it and tell your friends thank you!!

    http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/bring-once-upon-a-time-back-on-in-the-uk

    • Andrew Andrew says:

I would suggest a couple of things: firstly, the petition seems to be aimed at Channel 5 who have already confirmed they’ve dropped it. If it comes back to the UK, I suspect it’s far more likely to be via Netflix or Amazon and it would make sense for the petition to be aimed more in that direction.

Secondly, the point about the cliffhanger isn’t likely to carry weight, as season 3 will probably end on one too. And 4. And 5. And…. Etc if further seasons are made

  7. Mhairi says:

I recently emailed channel five about the cancellation and this is what they replied so there is some hope that another channel may pick up the rights to the programme:Date: 1st April 2014

    Dear Mhairi

Thank you for your recent e-mail. We apologise for the delay in responding.

Unfortunately, we have reluctantly decided not to acquire the broadcast rights to Series 3 of Once Upon A Time because the previous series did not perform as well as we had hoped. There are no plans to reverse this decision but your comments and interest in the programme have been logged for the attention of all relevant personnel.

Thank you for your interest in Channel 5.

    Yours sincerely

  8. Claire says:

I have just finished the first 2 series on Sky On Demand. It was under abc Studios HD so it may be aired on that channel at some point. Worth looking into.

  9. Sadie says:

When if ever will there be any news of this show being picked up by another network, me and my mum love this programme and our internet does not work so great at the moment.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

The most likely is going to be Amazon or Netflix, neither of which will be great options for you if you’re having internet troubles. For you, the best option will probably be the DVD.

  10. Molly says:

I sure hope a different channel decides to air it. But in the meantime I will be catching up over the Internet and will buy it on dvd as soon as it comes out.

  11. Leighanne says:

is there any news on it being take up by another channel?

    • Andrew Andrew says:

No, not yet. I think the best bet will be Netflix or the artist formerly known as Lovefilm. The latter currently has the first two seasons and even if Channel 5 had season 3, it wouldn’t have started yet.

  12. Claire McIlroy says:

Does anyone know if RTE or TV3 in Ireland is getting it this year as we can get some RTE channels on sky

    • Andrew Andrew says:

I’m sorry but I don’t have any information on availability outside the UK. If one of these channels had the first two seasons, then the situation with Channel 5 is unlikely to have any bearing on the separate rights agreed.

  13. Antonio says:

Once upon a time was a good family show, absolutely disappointed with how broadcasters treat viewers.
I had been recording it sky HD box since season 1 and the whole family enjoyed watching it.
Channel 5 always treats viewers with contempt, in future I will not follow any of their shows.
    Why

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It usually aired several months after the US, and its lower than desired viewership on Channel 5 has almost certainly a lot to do with the type of impatient people who want to have all the US content “now” as if we lived in the US. So, blame for its demise should be directed at those who didn’t watch it on television, rather than the channel who paid good money to bring it here in the first place.

  14. A says:

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!!! My brother and I were realy poorly when younger so we missed most of the fairtale magic and this show brought that part f childhoos back. My parents loved it too. Come on bring it back!!!!!!!

  15. MrsRumple says:

Don’t think the UK will ever get it. It’s too far behind thanks to C5. I only hope the DVDs get a UK release for all future seasons, unlike many shows that have been dropped here.

  16. Vee says:

AND WHAT SUCKS IS GOING ON TWITTER AND TUMBLR AND SEEING ALL THE NEWS AND LATEST STILLS. DAMMIT.

  17. benji says:

I watched once upon a time every Sunday. I was so excited every time it came on. always counted down the days till Sunday. season 3 seems the best so far so am very disappointed. Thank you very much channel 5.

  18. MrsRumple says:

Channel 5 are a joke. A load of us are trying to get #returnoncemagictouk trending on March 7th.

  19. janina says:

My daughter is autistic and this series has brought her out of her shell so thanks channel 5 for taking her enjoyment away

    • Andrew Andrew says:

If channel 5 had bought it, it probably wouldn’t be on yet anyway. It was April usually. If it doesn’t re-appear on another channel or Netflix or Lovefilm in the meantime, you’ll be able to get it on DVD later in the year, and not be restricted to one episode per week!
And we should know in the next couple of months whether or not it will get a fourth season (which could influence any further UK acquisitions).

  20. tracey says:

I’m really upset that season 3 has been cancelled, my son and I sat down every Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Don’t worry, it hasn’t been cancelled. It is still being made. It’s just been dropped by its UK broadcaster due to insufficient viewing figures. You’ll be able to get it on disc in due course.

  21. Mini D says:

(Edit: Mini you know perfectly well we don’t allow this so why try to break the rules). never fails to show all of the shows inc OUAT a day later than the USA…check it out

  22. natalie says:

I am gutted that no UK channel has bought the 3rd season yet. it was a good show with plot twists, and different to all the vampire shows- which I like too!
come on someone buy it for April showing..

  23. claire says:

I was just checking in Google to find out exactly when once upon a time, series three is starting in UK….to discover it won’t be??Absolutely Gutted!!Myself and my children gathered together every week to watch series one and two and LOVED them and are itching to watch series three, well this is one disappointed family…

    • Alice says:

      Hi Claire,

I too am gutted – but u did see when I was a subscriber to Lovefilm that they had the first 2 seasons so hopefully they will eventually get the 3rd

    • chels says:

what!! why is it not comin bk ?? but it ended on cliff hanger! it mite be coming soon after it is show in the the other parts or contry if not I am moving lol

    • alison says:

I am gutted to be reading that channel 5 has dropped once upon a time. my whole family have been eagerly awaitng its return. come on sky atlantic bring it back for us all.

  24. claire says:

I was justchecking in Google to find out exactly when once upon a time, series three is starting in UK….to discover it won’t be??Absolutely Gutted!!Myself and my children gathered together every week to watch series one and two and LOVED them and are itching to watch series three, well this is one disappointed family…

  25. ? says:

So sad channel 5 is not showing season 3 really disappointed we were all looking forward to it! :(

  26. brian peadon says:

really upset channel 5 not renewing once upon a time season 3 not fair very upset as i do not have sky or virgin viewing figures were good for once upon a time channel 5 run out of money???????? shame on them

  27. Vics says:

I just wanted to check when it was due to start, only to find channel 5 have dropped it. So angry, pi##ed off and gutted!! The best programme for such a long the way it has been writen is amazing. I think it should be given awards not dropped by channel who clearly cant see brilliant programming disgusted. It was only once upon a time and wentworth i watched on 5 dont think ill bother at all. Not happy!!!!!

  28. Rebecca Hindle says:

I too am horrified sent emails I tweet them they ignore me and I can see them tweeting online as soon as I go on my timeline they just ignore you I comment on there twitter feeds too angry. We might not get a DVD. You can watch on a free streaming site I use.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It’s highly unlikely there will be no DVD. You must remember that it wouldn’t have aired until about April, so you wouldn’t have been watching it yet anyway.

  29. Beth says:

Very disappointed in Channel Five, I really hope another channel buys it soon (Sky Atlantic maybe?) If not, I’ll have to buy it myself and set up my own channel. I’m desperate to know what becomes of Storybrooke!

    • Andrew Andrew says:

Channel 5 is a business, after all. I’d be surprised if Sky Atlantic buys it. Netflix or Lovefilm might do, in due course, or there’s always the DVD.

  30. jim says:

Can I still get once upon a time season 3 on dvd because its bid drop on chanle 5

    • Andrew Andrew says:

You will be able to get it on DVD but it won’t be released earlier just because one country (the UK) is without a broadcaster. It should be available in the summer.

      • jim says:

Will the dvd cum in the uk or will I have to order it from some where else

        • Andrew Andrew says:

Er…? It will certainly be available on region 1 (US and Canada) and probably region 2 (Europe). If it still has no UK broadcaster by then, it might not get a UK release, so you can order region 1 if you want it sooner, or order it from Germany for example if you need region 2.

    • Clair Nock says:

OMG!!!!!! I cannot believe i cannot watch the next season!!! This is outragious…after watching both the other seasons we dont get to see how it goes in neverland?? Im horrified.

      • Andrew Andrew says:

You’ll be able to watch it on DVD. It could well make an appearance on one of the legal streaming services too, and bear in mind you wouldn’t have seen it before April on 5 anyway. So at this moment, you aren’t missing out in anything.

  31. Hannah says:

Is there no chance for once upon a time season 3 to be shown in the uk ????

  32. Julie says:

Disgusted with channel 5 after hearing they have dropped once upon a time. A once boring channel was becoming exciting with programmes like once upon a time , under the dome and wentworth. It looks like they are reverting to being (in my opinion) a useless channel that no one will watch again

  33. stephanie says:

I am furious to find out that Channel 5 have decided to drop Once upon a time and leaving it on a cliffhanger that is just unacceptable I am going to write to them to complain plus I don’t have the money to watch it on netflicks or iTunes so that is just annoying for people like me not being able to watch the next season.

    • Andrew Andrew says:

It was ABC that produced the cliffhanger, rather than Channel 5. But we’d be very interested to hear the response, should you indeed contact them.

    • Izzy says:

I’m from the uk and hate this too but I have found a few websites you can watch season 3 for free on they aren’t too hard to find so have a look round those! Season 3 in my opinion is the best so far! It’s only been set in neverland for the 1st half but the second is to be set in Oz!!! Really good so try it guys I found a site in a few mins that gave me a way to watch the whole series for free!

      • laura says:

Hi Could you tell me which free website to go to watch season 3 online, I’ve searched loands and theyu keep wanting me to download stuff or enter debit card details.

        Thanks Laura

    • 05jhill says:

There’s always a way to watch them. I’ve been watching season 3 online using [no links to illegal streaming sites here- you've contributed to this programme no longer being broadcast in the UK]
I usually watch each episode a day after it’s aired in the USA.

  34. Kirsty Neville says:

I was just wondering if once upon a time will be coming back on tv in the uk cause i really enjoy watching it

  35. Kirsty Mcdermott says:

  36. Warren says:

Will someone else take the rights for Once Upon A Time now that Channel 5 has dropped it?! I hope someone does! Because it’s not fair to leave Season 2 on such a cliffhanger then not air Season 3 -.-

  37. Why do we have to wait until April for season 3 when it’s already out in USA.

  38. Ceri says:

    Any dates for

Once apon a time & the following)?
So excited for these to come back!!!

  39. jeani says:

When will once upon a time be aired in Scotland .

    • jeani says:

      I mean season 3

    • Andrew Andrew says:

At the same time as all the other parts of the United Kingdom, namely April. It isn’t confirmed that Channel 5 has secured the UK broadcast rights yet, but the first two series appeared in April.

It is rare, especially with imports, that broadcasts will occur at different times in different parts of the same country. When rights are obtained for a country, they apply to the whole country. Obviously rights for other separate countries have to be negotiated, bought and paid for separately.

  40. brian peadon says:

can you write to stars once upon a time america

  41. brian peadon says:

  42. lynsey says:

    Hi there,

I would just like to know when is Once upon a time season 3 going to air in the UK, I’ve been looking all over the internet with no straight answer.

    • Dave Dave says:

      Hi Lynsey,

Blimey, you’re eager! ;) Season 3 doesn’t air in the US till the Autumn, and we’ve not even finished season 2 in the UK yet, so not soon!

Given the last 2 seasons started in April, i’d suspect April 2014 is most likely!

      Cheers,
      Dave

  43. Beverly Poole says:

The family enjoyed the series until they started adding people that are not in the fables. The only reason we keep watching is to
see how it ends. To have invested so much time, would like to see the good finish. I read somewhere they expect to see Star wars
    cractures in the series.

  44. Emily says:

  49. Once upon a time season 1 was great bit upset they didn’t release season 2 the same time as USA.
