Some good news from ABC finally. ‘How to Get Away With Murder‘ has been renewed for a 5th Season and have picked up Lauren Cohan’s new series ‘Whiskey Cavalier‘... So might not be great news if you’re a fan of Maggie on ‘The Walking Dead’…
‘How to Get Away With Murder’ follows Annalise Keating (Viola Davis – ‘Suicide Squad’, ‘Fences’), a morally dubious law professor at a prestigious Philadelphia University. Along with 5 of her student and her employees, the group finds themselves embroiled in murder plots, corruption, coverups, and suicides.
‘Whiskey Cavalier’ comes from writer/executive producer Dave Hemingson (‘The Catch’, ‘Kitchen Confidential’) and executive producer Bill Lawrence (‘Rush Hour’, ‘Scrub’). After an emotional breakup, FBI agent Will Chase (codename: Whiskey Cavalier) is assigned to work with CIA operative Francesca “Frankie” Trowbridge (codename: Fiery Tribune). Together, they lead an inter-agency team of spies who periodically save the world (and one other) while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics. Scott Foley (‘Scandal’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’) plays Will whilst ‘The Walking Dead’s’ Lauren Cohan plays Frankie.
If you are wondering where that leaves Maggie in ‘The Walking Dead’, Cohan has already confirmed she will be back for at least 6 episodes in the opening half of next season of the show. Whether that will lead to them having to kill off or remove her character in some way remains to be seen…
‘How to Get Away With Murder’ airs on Sky Living in the UK. We’ll have to wait and see if ‘Whiskey Cavalier’ gets a UK pick up.
