After blonde model Deborah Dobkins (Brooke D’Orsay) is killed in a car crash, she is returned to earth in the body of the rather less model-like Jane Bingum (Brooke Elliott) – a lovable, brilliant, and overweight lawyer… Pretty much the opposite of Deb. Jane also happens to work at the same legal firm as Deb’s boyfriend Grayson Kent (Jackson Hurst). However, her new guardian angel Fred (Ben Feldman), who’s been demoted from heaven’s gatekeeper as punishment for accidentally allowing Deb to return to earth, tells her she can’t let on she is Deb trapped in Jane’s body.
