Kiefer as Jack Bauer
Few bits of news in late yesterday from the US of A. As we predicted on the Renewed / Cancelled page, Kiefer Sutherland’s Touch has been cancelled, proving once again Tim Kring really can’t sustain a good story past 1 season.
However, Kiefer may be returning to FOX… in the very familiar guise of Jack Bauer!
Since the show ended in 2010 Fox have been trying to get a 24 feature film off the ground but it’s never quite come together. However, it seems that former 24 show runner, and current Homeland ep Howard Gordon pitched the idea of a ‘limited run’ (i.e. some form of mini-series), with a new story arc for Jack.
It also seems former 24 and Whedon alumni David Fury is on board too, saying on Twitter “Yep, I’m pulling double duty along w/ TYRANT [his new tv pilot]. Whoo & Hoo!”
So, it maybe more 6, 8 or 12 than 24, but either way, if it means more of Jack Bauer kicking @ss and taking names, sign me up!
