There have been various stories floating around about the format Clarkson, Hammond & May’s final Top Gear would take, but it seems the BBC have decided on a single 75min episode to send them on their way.
The final Top Gear episode in it’s current form will air in the ‘next few weeks’, probably in the usual Sunday 8pm slot, but that’s yet to be decided.
Hammond and May have pre-recording some linking bits from the Top Gear studio to tie it together, and the show will include 2 films. The first has the 3 of them setting off on an adventure that includes brown beer, breakdowns and a hair raising classic car show. The second has them spend £250 on massive sport utility vehicles and embark on a series of challenges, including a battle with the Stig’s “leisure activity cousin”.
