Stephen Amell had promised Arrow would make a cameo if CW picked up Constantine, but sadly that wasn’t to be… However, it seems to have sparked the interest of the Arrow execs, who have decided to introduce Constantine to the Arrowverse.
Matt will be reprising his role when John Constantine pops up in the 5th episode of Arrow season 4 entitled “Haunted”. Can I just say Wooo and Yay! :D
Whilst this isn’t as good a news as Constantine getting a 2nd season, I’m really looking forward to seeing Matt don the trench coat again, as he was so well cast as Constantine. NBC was just the wrong network for it. Hopefully we’ll see more of Constantine on Arrow in the future too.

Also… did you spot that in the video? Matt referred to Starling City as Star City. Slip of the tongue, or is that change finally happening too?
Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim said in a statement “We are thrilled to have Matt Ryan reprise the role of John Constantine on an upcoming episode of Arrow. Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired. The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show this season has provided a truly organic opportunity for us to bring John Constantine to Arrow and the CW’s DC universe. It will be a well-deserved tip of the hat to all the Constantine fans who were so incredibly supportive of that series.”
It’s an interesting shift, as up until now, with the exception of lazarus pits, the DC tv shows have tended to stay away from magic, but this does allow a whole other world of possibilities if it goes down well. Justice League Dark tv show anyone? ;)
