Well this is some excellent news to brighten up your Friday afternoon!
The Daily Show, having lost a Jon Stewart and gained a Trevor Noah, is now returning to the UK on the same channel that dropped it – Comedy Central. Why they dropped it? Who knows! Maybe they thought the British public couldn’t cope with Jon leaving, and wanted to spare us the pain of seeing him go… Whatever the reason, they’ve thankfully reversed that decision, meaning we’ll get to see new host Trevor Noah’s run in the coveted chair from the beginning.
Joining Trevor are a lot of the Stewart era correspondents including Jordan Klepper, Aasif Mandvi, Al Madrigal, and Jessica Williams (no Jason Jones or Samatha Bee though as they’ve gone on to other things).
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will air less the 24hrs after the US to Comedy Central UK – Tuesday 29th September at 11pm.
