Amazon UK have announced they’ve acquired AMC’s martial arts series ‘Into the Badlands‘ to air weekly from the 16th November 2015.
The show is set on an Earth centuries in the future, where a feudal society has emerged in the wake of civilization’s destruction. The Badlands are ruled by 7 rival Barons, each presiding with an iron fist, back up by armies and assassins called ‘Clippers’.
Sunny (Daniel Wu) is a a ‘Clipper’ for Baron Quinn (Marton Csokas), who has been unchallenged as for years… However, a new Baron ‘The Widow’ (Emily Beecham) is looking to change that…
After Sunny comes to the rescue of a young boy called M.K. (Aramis Knight) after a near-fatal ambush, he begins to learn the teenager has a hefty bounty on his head, and holds a dark secret. Together the duo head out on an odyssey which could change life in The Badlands forever.
‘Into the Badlands’ will air weekly from the 17th November 2015 on Amazon Prime.
