Our Top 5 Game Of Thrones Merchandise
As most fans will be aware, the almighty Game of Thrones returns to our screens next Monday (25th – Sky Atlantic 2am then 9pm) for a 6th season of death, intrigue and backstabbing (in both literal and figurative forms!) So to help get you in the mood, we thought we’d take a look at some of our favourite official Game Of Thrones merchandise you can buy right now at the HBO Store.
Game Of Thrones and Monopoly are a perfect coupling… Because, if ever there was a game that could cause family feuds, blood curdling screaming and threatening to ‘put a sword through your eye and out the back of your skull’, it’s Monopoly. Arguments will switch from who gets to be the top hat to who gets to be the Iron Throne, and fights will no doubt be caused when someone stops on King’s Landing and the owner’s inner Joffery comes out as a cackle of maniacal glee!
There is a huge selection of official Game Of Thrones T-Shirts up on the HBO Shop, including various designs for the main houses of Westeros. However it’s the Hodor (“Hodor, Hodor, Hodor, Hodor, Hodor”) and “I’m not a Princess, I’m a Khaleesi” that are our favourites here at Geektown. You can also find various hoodies in the store, so you can wrap up in front of the tv supporting the Starks or Lannisters.
3. Game of Thrones Pop! Vinyls
If you’ve listened to Geektown Radio, you’ll be well aware that we love Pop! Vinyls here at Geektown, and the Game of Thrones ones are as good as you’d expect. My only slight complaint is that I’d have liked the Jaime Lannister one to have a detachable hand…
2. Game of Thrones: A Pop-up Guide to Westeros Book
This ridiculously impressive pop-up book allows you to take a 3D paper tour through the Seven Kingdoms, from the Wall in the North to King’s Landing in the South, and lots of places in-between. Not only can you flip through the book page by page, but it’s cleverly constructed so the whole thing folds out into a giant pop-up map of Westeros.
Because, lets be honest, who wants to learn French, Spanish or German when you can learn a language which might actually be of some use to you in your daily life. Sure, you might have some foreign business associates, who might be a bit impressed you can speak their language, but imagine how impressed they’d be, and how cool you’d look, if you could deliver your entire presentation in Dothraki!.. although I’m not sure they have a Dothraki word for Powerpoint…
You can get all this and more at the HBO Store right now.
