The Aliens Cancelled
E4 today announce that their scifi comedy series The Aliens won’t be back for a 2nd season due to ratings.
The show, made by Clerkenwell Films, starred Michael Socha (Being Human, Once Upon A Time) as a border control officer for an alien ghetto in which the aliens had been forced to live after crashing on earth 40 years previously. His dislike of the visitors is tested when he falls for one of them, and discovers his own parentage might not be as earthly as he originally thought!
Whilst ‘The Aliens’ opened extremely strong for E4, drawing 1.1m viewers, that was down to just over 350,000 by the end of the series, leading E4 not to renew it.
“The Aliens is a fantastic, bold series, but with a number of brand new drama series already commissioned for 2017 it won’t be returning for a second series” said an E4 spokesperson.
