The brilliant NARCOS will be returning on Friday 2nd September to Netflix for a 2nd season Geektown has learnt.
The show follows the story of the notorious drugs baron Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura), and the DEA agents, Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook) and Javier Peña (Pedro Pascal), who are hot on his trail.
Narcos received critical acclaim when it aired last year, and was nominated for both WGA and Golden Globe awards. Season 2 is alleged to conclude the Escobar storyline, and as the show is based on real-life events, it’s pretty clear what that ending will be! However, it’s not clear what that will mean for the series. Whether it would continue on with the DEA going after other Cartel’s in Columbia, or whether they could morph it into more of an anthology series if it goes to a 3rd season, and pick up new characters in a different location.
All will be revealed when the hunt for Escobar continues on Netflix – Friday 2nd September 2016.
