Carrie Coon To Join Ewan McGregor In Fargo Season 3

The amazing anthology series Fargo has found a new female lead for Season 3 in the form of ‘The Leftovers’ actress Carrie Coon.

She will star opposite Ewan McGregor, who will play 2 brothers – Emmit Stussy, the handsome and successful real estate mogul, and parking lot king of Minnesota, and Ray Stussy the pot-bellied, balding parole officer who blames his brother for all his mistakes in life.

Coon is portraying Gloria Burgle, chief of the Eden Valley police. She’s described as a newly divorced mother, who is level headed and practical in a crisis, but struggles connecting with people.

The actress is probably best know as Nora Durst in the tv show ‘The Leftovers’, but also appeared in David Fincher’s Gone Girl.

Fargo is loosely based on the 1996 Coen Brothers movie, but the tv show has won huge acclaim in it’s own right. The first season, starring Martin Freeman garnered 10 Emmy nominations, and the second season gained 2 Golden Globe nominations, and is expected to have a number of Emmy nods this year.

The 3rd season of Fargo is expected in Spring 2017.
