Suits Is Suitable For A 7th Season Renewal!

It may only be 3 episodes into season 6, but Suits will return for a 7th season, after USA Network announced they have renewed the legal drama.

This renewal will give the show 16 more episodes, and that pushes it through the magic 100 episode barrier. This is important for US TV, as it allows them to make extra money by selling the series into syndication on other networks. Suits is the longest running scripted drama on air at USA Network right now, and is getting very close to joining MonkRoyal Pains, and Psych as one of the all-time longest running dramas on the network, which all had 8 seasons.

The show follow the story of a New York law firm, which gets into all sorts of problems after senior partner Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) hires Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) – a drug dealing, college dropout with an eidetic memory, who impresses him after stumbling into an Harvard Law interview session. The only problem is, Mike never actually attended Harvard… or any law school…

Season 6 picks up directly from the end of season 5, which saw Mike start a 2 year prison sentence, after taking a plea deal to protect his colleagues at Pearson Specter Litt. The law firm itself is in disarray having been abandoned by most of the staff, leaving Harvey, Jessica (Gina Torres), Louis (Rick Hoffman), Rachel (Meghan Markle) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty), trying to keep the company afloat. Mike is not having an easy time inside either, after he discovers he’s sharing a cell block with someone Harvey put away, and they are looking to use Mike to exact revenge…

Suits is currently airing, Sunday nights at 10pm on Dave in the UK, and if your a fan of the show, you might want to listen to our interview with Louis Litt himself, Rick Hoffman (starts at 00:54:58), from Geektown Radio a few weeks ago!
