Legends Of Tomorrow Have Found Their Stargirl

It would seem like actress Sarah Grey is having a very good year! Not only is she appearing in the upcoming Power Ranger movie reboot, but she’s now also been cast as Stargirl on DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow!

Grey has appeared in a number of shows, from playing young Nora in Bates Motel, popping up in episodes of LuciferiZombie and Wayward Pines, however this is her first major recurring tv role.

As we saw with the arrival of Hourman (Suit’s Patrick J. Adams) at the end of season 1, Legends Of Tomorrow season 2 is set to introduce the Justice Society of America when it returns in the Autumn. Courtney Whitmore aka Stargirl is a relatively new character in comic book terms. First appearing in 1999, she joins the JSA after being given Starman’s cosmic staff, which gives her the ability to fly and manipulate energy.

Other members of the JSA due to appear are Amaya Jiwe, the new… or rather, old Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), grandmother of Mari McCabe (Megalyn Echikunwoke), the version of Vixen we saw on Arrow. We also have Citizen Steel (Nick Zano), and his grandfather Commander Steel, who it was announced last week will be played by Matthew MacCaull (iZombie)… They will however all be around the same age despite being generations apart, as this is a time travel show! Joining them will be other JSA members Obsidian and Dr. Mid-Nite, who have yet to be cast.

The big bad, or rather ‘bads’ for this season are the *echoy mic effect* LEGION OF DOOM *echoy mic effect* which consists of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).

Legends Of Tomorrow returns in Oct across the pond, so should be back here around the same time.
