Yesterday, a teaser trailer dropped for a new scifi movie called ARRIVAL starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker. It’s described as a ‘teaser’ trailer, but it actually sets up the film quite nicely, and shows a lot more than you’d expect from a teaser.
The film is based on the short story ‘Story of Your Life’ by award winning science fiction writer Ted Chiang, with the screenplay by Eric Heisserer (Van Helsing, Hours). It’s directed by Sicario’s Denis Villeneuve, who’s next job is a little indie flick… called Blade Runner 2…
Here’s the official synopsis for ARRIVAL:
When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team – led by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
ARRIVAL is released in cinemas on 11 November 2016.
