Matt Ryan Back As ‘Constantine’ In New Animated Series From Greg Berlanti

Whilst it might not be the live action show we were hoping for, this news does at least keep the character alive, and part of the Berlantiverse. Matt Ryan will return to the voice the role of Constantine in a new animated series, due to land on CW Seed. The digital channel is also home to the Vixen Animated Series.

Greg Berlanti and his team will produce, along with David S. Goyer who was behind the original live action series, which aired on NBC in the US. We have already seen Constantine being folded into the DC/Berlantiverse when Ryan reprised the role on Arrow last season.

When questioned if this means Constantine would show up again in live action, CW President, Mark Pedowitz commented “At this point in time, there are no plans to. I would love to have Matt. I think that was a great episode in Season 4. Matt adds a dimension to the show as the character.”

Couldn’t agree more Mark. We need Matt Ryan back in front of the camera on the show.
