Marvel released a tiny teaser trailer and a cast photo for their upcoming ‘Marvel’s Inhumans’ series, and surprise surprise… Iwan Rheon is stirring up trouble again…

Marvel’s Inhumans follows the story of the Inhuman Royal Family, led by Black Bolt (Hell On Wheel’s Anson Mount), whose voice is so powerful, even the slightest whisper could send out a shockwave with the power to level a city. Iwan Rheon (Misfits, Game Of Thrones) plays Maximus, younger brother to Black Bolt, who is clever and charming, but (as you can tell from the voiceover in the video), not adverse to stabbing someone in the back if it suits his own ends. He has psionic powers and a superhuman intellect, although he hides his ‘gifts’ from the Inhuman population.

Left to Right: Eme Ikwuakor (Gorgon), Ken Leung (Karnak), Anson Mount (Black Bolt), Serinda Swan (Medusa), Isabelle Cornish (Crystal), Iwan Rheon (Maximus)

In the photo above, you can see a few of the cast who will be joining Mount and Rheon, as the Royal Family of Attilan.

Eme Ikwuakor (Extant) plays Black Bolt’s cousin Gorgon, leader of Attilan’s military. He has super strong legs, complete with hooves, and can generate destructive seismic waves with a single stomp. Ken Leung (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Person of Interest, Lost) plays Karnak, another of Black Bolt’s cousin’s and his closest advisor. He has the ability to see the fault in all things, whether that be people, plans, or even structures. Serinda Swan (Smallville, Graceland, Chicago Fire), is playing Medusa, wife of Black Bolt, and has the ability to move and control her hair the way most people use their hands and fingers, and finally Isabelle Cornish (Home and Away) plays Crystal, the youngest member of the royal family, who has the ability to control the elements. Impetuous and independent she is also deeply devoted to her family.

One other member of the family, who has been announced but isn’t pictured, is Mike Moh (Empire, Street Fighter’s Ryu) as cousin Triton. That’s probably due to him being a green scaled guy, with a fish-like ability to live underwater… so probably gets left out of family photos…

Other casting includes Sonya Balmores (Beyond the Break, Soul Surfer) as Auran, Head of the Royal Guards on Attilan, and Ellen Woglom (Californication, Outlaw) who is apparently playing a new character created for the show, rather than someone adapted from the comic books.

Marvel’s Inhumans comes to the US on ABC in the Autumn, with the first 2 episodes also screened in IMAX cinemas 2 weeks before the launch. No news on a UK release date yet, but we’ll update you when we have something.
