Amazon Drop A New Trailer For ‘The Tick’!

by Dave Elliott

I know, I know… There are a lot of superhero shows out there at the moment. But none are quite like The Tick, which lands on Amazon Prime Video from Friday 25th August 2017.

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant (Griffin Newman – ‘Search Party’, ‘Beware the Gonzo’) with zero powers comes to realise his city is owned by a super villain called The Terror. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero, The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘Star Wars’).

Based on the original comic book by Ben Edlund (‘Gotham’, ‘Supernatural’), This is not the first time ‘The Tick’ has made it to screen. Patrick Warburton (‘Lemony Snicket in A Series of Unfortunate Events’) played the part on the cult, but short-lived, live-action series in late 2001, and there was also an animated series in the 90’s which ran for 3 seasons. Edlund originally created the character in high school before going on to make a full comic book version for New England Comics.

‘The Tick’ Season 1 will be released in two parts of 6 episodes each on Amazon Prime Video. Part 1 will be available on Friday 25th August. Part 2 will be released in early 2018.
