Charlie Brooker’s excellent anthology series ‘Black Mirror‘, is due to return “soon” (still no exact air date yet) for Season 4, but to help tide you over, Netflix has released a new trailer with the titles & cast for the upcoming episodes.
‘Black Mirror’ is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us.
It’s hard to gauge exactly what each of the episodes are about from these little clips, but alongside the dark and futuristic settings, the episode “USS Callister” does appear to be Brooker’s take on ‘Star Trek’, which looks really interesting!
